Love this antique mall! Some booths have really great prices and sales. The place is huge! There are a wide variety of antiques and collectibles for all ages. If you leave there empty-handed, go back the next week. You're sure to find something! It's one of my favorite antique spots in the Birmingham area!

If you are looking for antiques, this is the place for you. It is 23,000 square feet of wall to wall unique items from the present and the past. It takes a while to go through all the isles, but it is worth it. You could have lunch at the Craft Burger just down from Publix and then walk it off at the Brass Bear afterwards

Our go to for a day of antiquing! Always find something new and interesting. The folks who work there are always so welcoming and friendly. Best antique mall ever and always recommend it especially for any unique furniture hunting. We spent hours browsing and rarely leave empty handed.

Ever wanted to buy something your parents had when you were a kid? Or wanted to find something unique to display in your home? Or you wanted to just spend a couple of hours browsing with great old music playing?
This is the place! Outside the store, which is HUGE,  there are a lot of old outdoor furniture which would look great in your garden.
Go inside, and see many many aisles of everything else . It's hard to see everything in one day( if you're just browsing). Which makes it a " go to " place for me to chill.
And even if you are just hanging out, I bet you can find something which will be perfect for a statement piece for your yard or inside your home.
BTW, in a couple of months, vendors will be changing their booths and putting in Christmas stuff! Some newer, but mostly stuff which will bring back the best memories of Christmas past.

You just have to go and experience it. It's worse than any store I go to, and what I mean is that I always walk out of there with something I don't need.  Really cool place, and the folks that work there are always nice and love to talk.

You can find about anything you want here. I found a copy of my dad's 1959 college annual. Good place to explore and find.

My son introduced me to this great store. We discovered some really great finds! It was such fun shopping here and the staff were so nice. This will be added to my regular go to destinations for unique finds!

Great shop for lovers of all things, antique and otherwise. What a huge selection! I still haven't explored every section of this place because there's just so much to see. The staff and vendors are friendly and will treat you like family after a visit or two. I'll be back to spend more money, I'm sure!

This place is way better than I expected. I will be checking in often enough. Friendly and very knowledgeable staff. They have what you didn't know you were looking for. I love the Birmingham selections. When I get a house I'm gonna load up here for cool and weird decor. Better than the rest!

My favorite antique mall and is the BEST in all of Birmingham IMO. I've found some amazing gems here at great prices. The staff here is very friendly and always helpful.
Remember you are buying used treasures, look it over very closely before you buy because there are no guarantees / no returns. This is common policy at any other antique mall that I've ever been to. It's not the store's fault if you purchase something then discover it's broken afterwards. Don't blame the store!
Definitely worth a trip, you will not be disappointed!

I love this place. It’s been here for several years and I just found it. It’s on Valleydale and Caldwell Mill Rd by the Publix. The place is huge and there are so many vendors. The prices are great and they will take offers. They have collectibles, furniture, antiques, pictures, magazines, etc. Everything for everyone. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I can’t wait to go back!

My first visit and I absolutely loved this place. I didn’t realise how big it was until I got inside and started walking around. After about 4 or 5 isles I bumped into this little table at the front of the store... cake, brownies, little snacks and pop😮. Of course I purchased some because I needed the energy to finish walking around. Everyone was so very nice. There’s something for everyone, so many beautiful things. I purchased toys for the kids, lots of stuff for baking, vintage patterns, and teacups which was my main reason for going.

This place is a lot bigger inside than you would think looking outside. Had a lot of fun today browsing.  There is a little of everything. Jewelry, clothes, accessories, books, kitchen items including cast iron, furniture, comics, rough hewn lumber, cow hides, military items, vintage toys, lighting fixtures, gemstones, furniture, boutique clothing...You name it! Roomy, accessible restrooms.

Top notch!!  This is one of my go to fun places to shop, especially during Christmas....  I love the selections and I always find something unique. The staff are always kind and helpful too. I love to wander this place! Everyone here is extremely accommodating and there's even an area provided to sit and rest and refuel. I've found some awesome pieces, mostly smalls,  though the vendors sell all kinds of furniture, too. Everything is clean and it's very well organized!

A fun place to visit. Antiques, glassware, furniture, handmade toiletries, signs. It's huge and interesting to shop if not buy. Prices are reasonable, stock is constantly changing and there's probably something for everyone. Individual vendors rent 'booths' that may or may not have a theme. Some new items, most not. Expect to spend an hour wandering the aisles and still miss half of what's on offer.

This place was much bigger than I expected. While not everything in here was antique, they had a good mixture of old and new items. The prices were not outrageous either. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I will definitely go back!

If you are looking for the perfect item for your home or the perfect gift, this is the place to go. It is the nicest consignment/antique shop my Wife and I have been to and we have been all over Alabama. Some things are priced a little to high.

Thousands of square footage. I walked around for hours. I found a sweet note written on the back of a dresser.

Had never been in here and decided to stop by. Wasn’t my cup of tea; some of the booths are a little junky and it has more of a flea market feel rather than an antique store. The items I did have an interest in, the prices were a little steep. Has the feel of Bama Leeds store but smaller and a step more upscale

We loved shopping the variety of booths here! Lots of great merchandise! We left with three nice picks to add to our collection. We were disappointed in the customer service. The guy seemed as though it was a bother to ask for assistance.

It wasn't bad, it was hotter inside than normal. The doors were open leading me to believe that they had fans cooling the facility. Can't blame them, it's a thrift store, it's an antique mall. If you can control your overhead costs by leaving the doors open on a day where it's 75° outside then go right ahead. My wife and I ended up leaving about halfway through because we had seen most everything before. We've been in maybe a year or so before. Not a whole lot had changed

Tons of stuff at FULL BLOWN retail pricing. If you’re looking to flip this isn’t the place to go. Man at the front that doesn’t get you seems grouchy! But there is a lot if cool stuff here!

We were there for their 4th beariversary.  So many wonderful vendors!!  So much stuff ... great stuff!  Many vendors were offering discounts and great sale prices.  When checking out, we did not receive these discounts ... very disappointing.  We told the older gentleman that there were discounts on some of the items we bought.  He said he knew and still charge full price?!?  Once again, disappointing.

The man working upfront was rude as could be. I use to shop here a good bit, but I will not be back.

Terrible customer service. Tried to purchase a rather expensive cake stand( fostoria )  $300+ I saw in their Instagram.  They  refused to help me with shipping by helping me find a courier to drop at the ups store for packing/ shipping  or better yet they could have dropped it themselves as businesses typically offer, they lost one of their dealers a sale. ( I’m across the country)
Finally they just ignored my questions.

I have really enjoyed shopping at this store for the past few years however today I was treated extremely rude by an employee while inquiring about a piece outside. Turns out he is the owner. Needless to say, I won’t be back.

This is no reflection of the vendors, but a reflection of the staff. My family owned an antique business for 20 years, so I have had much experience with antique malls. Never have I been treated so rudely by staff at an antique mall. And it was so unnecessary, all over a few dollars. There was a 20% off sign in the booth that I shopped. When I went out front to pay, he said he didn’t see a notation in the computer about the sale. Again, I have a ton of experience in antique malls, so I know what I saw, and I even checked the initials on my items to make sure they matched the initials for the sale price. Since it was such a little amount of money, and he acted so put out by having a walk to the back to check, I told him not to worry about it. However, he could’ve said oh it’s no trouble, or apologize for the lack of clarity, anything. But nope, he said none of that. Very rude attitude and unfriendly and not trying to help. If you don’t wanna work, sit over there and watch TV and let somebody who wants to be friendly help the people who are spending money at your establishment. Even if it is only $20.

Unfortunately we had a horrible experience. I have never once written a review, good or bad, about a business. But felt this warranted a review. The staff was not experienced enough to take our tax exempt tax id. We have bought antiques from all over the country and have never had an issue like this before. They refused our tax id as if we were criminals and therefore we refused to make the purchase. After spending time walking thru the giant mall (which is a glorified garage sale for the most part), they talked to the owner over the phone for 20 minutes outside around the corner. Completely wasting our time. I feel terrible for the few decent dealers. They lost a sale because of the bad management. We will not be going back to say the least.

I took my mom and daughter shopping here today. My daughter is hearing impaired. She saw a Betty Boop antique statue and walked towards it. I asked her not to touch it, but due to so much background noise I do not believe she heard me. She fell backwards off the statue and knocked down an old concrete, garden figure. Her drink spilled a bit when this happened. I immediately cleaned up the drink. When an employee approached us, I said “I’m so sorry about this.” He ignored me and said “I’ll be calling the vendor about this.” My daughter was crying from falling. He didn’t check on my daughter or tell me their policy on broken items- didn’t even tell me if I would have to pay for it or not. He picked up the figurine and walked off. It was $15 dollars. This item was not antique, nor anything special. We continued shopping. I was buying several items and went to checkout about 30 minutes later. As the very rude old lady rung up my items, the previous employee walked up and smacked the sale tag for the broken figurine on the counter. He said NOTHING. The lady said NOTHING. She just told me my total with the $15 added. I had already handed her my card before he walked up. I asked her if they were really going to press the issue of $15 and why they didn’t think I was worthy of a conversation about their policy (there isn’t one). She just stared at me and charged me without my consent. My mom asked, “Well can we at least have the statue?” They acted appalled that she asked, but we paid for it. I told them I didn’t want it, but I wanted a picture of it so I could dispute with the bank. An employee tried to move it off the counter while I was taking a picture. If you have small children, especially with special needs I would highly advise you not to shop at Brass Bear Antiques. I saw previous reviews mentioning that employees at this establishment treat people of color poorly. So maybe no one should shop here in general. Karen, out ✌️

Shopping experience was fine…but they have some rather racist items in there which I think are extremely inappropriate to be selling.

RACISM & DISRESPECTED! While checking out, I was yelled at, given attitude, and disrespected as a 17 year old person of color shopping. I spent about a hundred dollars at this store giving great business yet was treated wrongly by an employee because of my skin color. Before making this claim I noticed she treated every white person there with respect. Me and my sister were literally the only POC there and were treated like that. Not all the employees are lIke this. Many of the employees were SO welcoming and I’m glad I could meet them. I had an amazing shopping experience and found some of the most unique things I’ve ever come across but the racism and utter disrespect ruined it! I’ve been born and raised in Alabama and have never countered such racism first hand. I will be reporting this employee for consequences and hope that if any person of color steps into this store they don’t have an experience like mine. It’s upsetting really.

I called to put an item on hold, and they charged me $184 for a different item than I wanted! They didn't have the item I wanted, and would not refund my purchase! I still don't know what they are charging me for.

Update: They already have my money, and a no refund policy, so from their perspective their part is done. After arguing about it all week they are giving me no options and do not care. In fact they have threatened penalties if I don't pick it up soon.

Update 2: I finally went in to see it and I see why they were so willing to unload it on me. 😂 What a joke.
