I had the best experience in this store, I wish I asked the employees names to call them out, so friendly and kind. I left BAM with 2 books and so much better mood than what I came in with. Thank you.

I want to give a great review for the Mobile, AL Books A Million.  I had the best experience this evening!  Sam and Zoe were so nice and so helpful.  They went over and above to help me find some Christmas presents.  I want to thank them again.  Go by and see them!  Merry Christmas and peace on earth🎄

My favorite place, unadulterated geekdum is had here. Books, toys, and magazines are here in plenty. This is a great place to stim 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 all the things are here along with good eats. Great customer service always.

Went in today looking for a T-shirt. Though they didn't have a whole lot of these, I was impressed with how many other gift choices there were, how clean and organized the store was, and how friendly the employees were. Also, I was happy to see all the religious and Christian related books and items. Will definitely be back to do some Christmas shopping soon.

I came in for collectibles, specifically Marvel Legends, and was very pleased with the selection! For a bookstore, there's alot of general pop-culture items available if you're into that kind of thing! The staff, including the coffee shop, was incredibly friendly and made the whole experience very relaxed.
The store is super clean and well put together, and the atmosphere is very quiet and calm. (Yeah, it should be! It's a book store!)

Very well run store. Staff is knowledgeable, professional, and yes, friendly. Super huge selection of books, magazines, toys, cards, and even vinyl records. Buy a book or magazine and then read it while enjoying a drink from Joe Muggs. We got the mango lemonade and the lemon tea cake frappe. Delicious!!

I really went to the bb.q korean fried chicken spot up the way, (Which I highly recommend), but i guess it wasn't accurate.  But this place is cool too.

I was so glad to find a real honest to goodness bookstore in Mobile. I've lived in Atlanta and Dallas so this was very nice to discover...

A good sale was going on when we visited and my daughter was excited to find a book that she's already finished (by the time of me writing this) 😊 customer service was awesome and the atmosphere was exactly as we expected 👏

I always enjoy coming in and browsing the manga sections of the store. Though sometimes they don't have the specific volumes I'm looking for, I can still find something to walk out with. Always clean and friendly.

Great new book store with a sizable "bargain" section. They also have a coffee shop which is also great. Cookbooks, my favorite books, had a very large section that I was happy to see.

A pretty calm place and they have a great selection! The staff there are nice and helpful and the cafe is small, but a good place to get some work done.

While at Pinebrook shopping center inside BAM, the second I asked the clerk for particular books he instantly set out to show me.  He was also helpful with other questions I had about other products.  I was treated very well and my granddaughters love their gifts. I will be back!!

Very cozy, clean and organized. They also have a little coffee shop where people can enjoy reading or studying. They have a great variety of books. I was looking for study guides, they didn't have it in stock but I was able to order. People who work there are very nice. Love it. Happy customer here.😊

I wouldnt really think about rating a books a million of all things, but one of the employees here was so proactive and helpful I feel a need to mention it.  Zac, i believe.  I came in and he asked if i was looking for anything particular and when i said I was looking for Brandon Sanderson novels he lit up and was a slew of excited information.  Really made it a pleasant experience.

I know that we love the e-books, but this place is Perfect to find print books and more, there are lot of stuff there, like maps, notebooks, jokes, boardgames, t-shirts and there is a coffee shop inside and the coffee is really delicious.

Great bookstore. It is a mixed bag. You can find Bibles, devotionals, theolody books along with witchcraft books, tarot cards, coloring books, & ghost stories. My favorite sections are the biography & music sections. Huge kids books section with Harry Potter, Disney, all sorts of kids books. Tons of magazines in the back of the store plus puzzles, Vinyl Records, stuffed animals, t-shirts, games, coffee cups, you name it. Day planners & calendars, journals, notebooks. There is a nice little coffee shop in there too plus restrooms for customers.

This is a wonderful bookstore.  I like how they have a huge selection of Biblical books as well as books from great authors for adults and for kids.  They have nice helpful staff to help you find books you may want.  They also have gifts, kid toys and cards so nice store for all these items.

I will say, went there to check out the books and to grab a coffee, it was an amazing experience and the people who worked there were very nice, especially the woman by the name of Dale! Thank you so much for making our experience such a fantastic one. We will definitely be back to buy more items!

The staff here is pretty friendly and willing to help point you in the right direction. I love the selection of novels and notebooks here. There is a coffee shop inside the bookstore to the left as soon as you walk in. I haven’t tried it yet, but the coffee smells pretty good. We often like to stop by to browse the business books area in the back. It’s also easy to order online or set up pick up at the store. Good experiences so far!

Love the store itself. I think they could use more help but the staff that was there was friendly and helpful. They have a little coffee shoppe inside the store and you can order a hot coffee, iced coffee, latte, or frappe. And sit in the little eating area while you read a book. They have other items in there as well, besides books. Lots of neat gift ideas. They have a very large selection of books. It has become my children's favorite place to shop. Plus I like to shop there as well. Looking forward to our next visit to BAM

Why, Books-A-Million? Why must you shut down the Joe Muggs cafes nearest to my home? I digress. The mocha frappes are by far my favorite menu item to buy at their cafe.

Lots of books.  My only complaint is the staff is almost too friendly and will talk to you the entire time you're there, trying to have a full blown conversation while You're browsing books.  Overall though, a really good bookstore

I haven't visited in a while since they've moved from the mall, but it was nostalgic to walk those aisles again. Didn't stay long, but they had a big selection of journal and bibles that I'll be back to look at. Cashier was very pushy about signing up for the rewards program after my friend declined 3 times. That part wasn't my fave but I can't hold it against her.

Associates are friendly and available, good selection of books and a lot of other cute little things you would never think to look for but catch your interest anyway. Found quite a few unique items to put away as gifts. The store is not completely organized, but I think that adds to the charm and makes it a comfortable place to be. I will definitely be back.

Very Helpful & Friendly staff! A bit smaller of a location than we have moved away from (especially the sitting area). Seems to have a lot of other items instead of mostly reading books.

I felt bad for the solo barista juggling the register and trying to make coffee. I decided to shop around and then come back to place my drink order, but on my way to her, I heard over the loud speaker, one of the associates encourage shoppers to go to the barista for quicker check-out. I saw that she still had no help and a long line while trying provide exceptional customer care and make coffee drinks. Quite sad...disappointing. I like the coffee when I can get it though.

I love BAM and Barnes and Noble. I'm an avid reader. We need more book stores. This particular BAM seems to be undergoing some changes, all good.  Love it. Staff though, not very friendly or helpful. And more than half the merchandise didn't have price tags.

Book section were fine, but bathrooms were super dirty and there were signs posted saying "no soap" on the doors. Not good for a place that also serves food.

Normally, it's a good place to find the old western authors, but Mom n I couldn't find any today.

Same thing as last time I went. They were hiring people last year too, and they were just about as helpful. Don't know what their problem is, but they can't keep employees. Great displays though!

Frustrated it’s the 23rd the line is a mile long and only one person is working the register. Kudos to staff for being nice but the cherry on top is the no bag policy. Forcing me to walk out with 20 trinkets that they sale plenty of. On the way in a poor old lady was dropping hers all over the parking lot. I think your no bag policy has good intentions but it doesn’t work in reality. If customers are leaving frustrated I’d rather buy off Amazon. Update: the line was taking forever and I ended up walking out anyway.

As much as I hate to say it, I can see why books a million is shutting down more and more stores. The prices are ridiculous. Everything is $10+ what you can find it anywhere else. For a store that specializes in books, you'd think they were able to get their prices down but no, everything is overpriced and nothing notably special about anything in the store. I hate it because I use to love books a million but I can't justify the price, comparatively speaking, to shop there any longer. I hate that this was the last time I will have entered a books a million, but it was.

Every time I have been in there lately the website says they have what I'm looking for and even their system in the store shows it. Yet when I go to the location it should be... nothing.

The employees didn't seem too interested in helping out. I stood in line at the only checkout open, behind a woman and her son for 10 minutes.  Two more employees showed up and never said a word about opening up until I walked up, put my book on the counter and walked out of the store. Too little, too late.

Everyone always seems they wish they weren't working. Especially in the cafe. I feel like I am bothering the barisitas every time I stand in line, waiting for them to get off their phones.  Very unfriendly vibes in the whole store.

I’m sharing this because I want this book store to succeed. I found a book online that was said to be in stock in their store. I confirmed this with the cashier at the front when I asked if they had this book in stock that I couldn’t find.

The cashier told me the system can be wrong and when I suggested that the book may be lost because things are very out of order, they confirmed that could be the case as well. They didn’t call anyone to help me find the book. This was not during a busy part of the day. Noon on a Tuesday.

Again, I’m sharing this because I want this store to succeed.

This store has been overtaken by Trump biographies and Christian propaganda. The walls are lined with cheaply made (and grossly overpriced) knickknacks, and there are far too many tables of fantasy smut, all seemingly written by the same fifth-grade-reading-level author.

The workers are absolutely useless on the sales floor, and at the register, they harass you endlessly about joining the membership—even after you’ve said no. Today, the cashier added the $25 “new member fee” to my total without even asking if I wanted it.

I have a Books-A-Million gift card rotting away in my wallet, and that’s still not enough to make me step foot in this disappointing shell of a bookstore ever again.

Terrible store.Especially for shipping!Ordered  a book about 2 weeks ago, they said  it would be here in a week has yet to come. I tried to call customer service ,but for some reason the customer service hours are limited and close at five.Terrible  customer service workers are slow and lazy and have the worst attitudes and do nothing for long lines.Will NEVER go here again to order a book should’ve went to Amazon!Prices are extremely higher and different from other places also!

Very disappointing experience when I took my kids in. One of the books we found rang up for $0.02 but the rude cashier Vann said that couldn’t happen and changed the price to $5.00 at first he marked it to $9.97. Since when is it ok to change a price because they don’t like what it rings up. Also don’t be so push trying to force magazines etc on customers if they say no the first time

Horrible response from the manager. Do better customers is what pays for you to have a job.  Very disrespectful and no accountability.

Pre ordered a book for my grandson and paid for over night shipping. Paid for another book (2) with regular shipping. They sent book (2) over night and other book never came. It was a series that you read in chronological order. After Months of it not coming, I purchased it from another store and canceled it with Books-A-Million. Never got my money back.

I left about $60 worth of books at the register and said ‘it’s worth the drive to Barnes and Noble not to be bothered with this’.     Truth is I had forgotten my previous commitment never to go back there after some obnoxious guy literally countered my no five times about that stupid magazine subscription.     It felt good , even paying the gas it cost.

Also, they don’t make you feel appreciated for what you do spend.     And I know it’s not the employees fault, they’re doing as they’re told.     It’s the management I’m hoping to wake up.     I will NOT purchase again until that stops.    I will go and sit and read occasionally and make a note when I see someone checking out.
