Their prices are fair for the quality of the items, the staff is wonderful and they are one of the only thrift stores to my knowledge that pay you a fair price for your items

Cheap often carries the baggaged association of poor quality, yet rest assured, its placement in this business’s name is towards affordability of items that will have you excited; you may question if it’s considered a taboo to purchase your items, wanting to wear them out of the the store. I’m not a designer and I have lacked a sense of style that left me feeling happy with myself. My style was comparative of the average experience of most American men who were born in the late 90s: - Birth through graduation of high school, trips to the mall and Old Navy prior to the beginning of school year were common. Supplementing undergarments, socks and the odd t shirt with a Walmart purchase, my visual identity matched what most parents were trying to keep for their children, one that showed security at home. - My adulthood has consisted of my personal attire matching the energy of my work. Entering the Marine Corps Reserve and college, I looked like a ‘boot’, as a journalist and teacher I wore a lot flannels and professional button ups, and as a banker, strictly professional attire. - Due to a combination of health issues that are thankfully now resolved, I had at one point gained a significant amount of weight and subsequently lost it from said health issues. This affected what I kept in my closet and I found myself needing to shop for new clothes more often than I needed to before, simply because my clothes at the time didn’t fit. I made attempts similar to the approach my parents took to shopping with me growing up, but no number of malls or department stores gave me confidence with the way I looked. - About 4 years ago, I resigned myself to describing to my wife the clothes I would like to wear and her, along with family, would gift me these items for the holidays and birthdays. I enjoyed the gifts and understand more of what I like, but I lacked the ability to find pants for my 5’11, short leg, long torso body. I needed high waisted pants and those are still not a modern trend for men. Few places have what I need, so I mostly wore mid rise that felt like the low rise most men were wearing. I came to the store and was immediately offered assistance in the most polite and friendly way possible my Carter. I explained what I needed and they helped me select pants to try, asked me questions about how they felt while I wore them and what I was looking for that would make the pants better, and I walked away with two pairs of jeans that truly fit me. I don’t have to wear a belt tight against the top of my pelvis just for my pants to still sag. I left with a confidence I haven’t felt in a long time and I want to thank Carter for their amazing customer service and Cheap Thrills for having such a wonderful store full of the friendliest, most helpful employees. It is truly a place where you can find help with your fashion that will guide you towards the confidence to do it yourself. Whenever I need new clothes, this is the place I will go from now on.

It's a retail store with expected prices it's expensive because they hand pick each item. The bad reviews are a bit dramatic it's an old building smells just like any other old building lol The employees are swag They have demonias and plenty alt clothing from what i can tell most items are 80s based. Organization is pretty swag everything is super sparkly and fun This is one of few alternative stores in this area that isn't fast fashion so i would recommend stopping buy if that's what your lookin for

I’ve been coming here since I was a teen — over 30 years ago. I was recently in town and decided to sell a few of my clothes & was given a good price for them. I met the new owner (RIP Harriet) and she’s super nice. I’m so glad she is continuing the legacy that is Cheap Thrills!
