We have been to the new location a few times now, and it is still a very cool place to check out with a ton of collectibles and fan fare items to browse and buy. It's such a great selection, and the customer service is awesome!

Come here to play mtg and always have a lot of fun. They always have singles I am looking for or will try to find them, Thursday nights are always great with special pricing on select packs along with the commander event!

I had an amazing experience coming to Retro Exchange yesterday with my girlfriend, they made us feel welcomed and appreciated. The manager was very helpful and just an awesome person to talk to about comics movies etc. I’ll definitely be coming back in the future and if you’ve been looking for that community feeling in a Comic/Collectable shop this is the place to go. The crew members were also very respectful and friendly, my girlfriend bought a comic and two custom prints and I turned in some action figures and put couple on hold as well. Just an amazing experience all around.

This place is the best we took in a bunch of figurines mostly Disney and were offered either in store credit or cash which of course the cash pay out is a bit less then in store credit but we can't complain great deal and  even greater stuff u need to check this place out for real.

I have been coming to this shop for around 2 months now and wow, just wow! They are super knowledgeable, like amazingly so! It's super easy to miss driving, but it's definitely worth stopping in and having the biggest dose of nostalgia in your life.

Amazing place! Came in today for their Lorcana tournament. Totally new to the game and everyone was so patient with teaching. Store has a great vibe, employees are very helpful. Definitely recommend!

Cool shop, lots of great memorabilia and collectibles. Also heard one of the employees say they keep Marvel VS. Capcom on tap "in case anyone wants to catch these hands." So that's pretty legit.

This place is an absolutely amazing local game store. They are very welcoming and have something for almost everyone. Their Dungeons & Dragons crew is amazing, and their selection changes constantly. Love this place and enjoy going there every week!

Great place for all your Toys & Collectibles necessities! We come here often for the latest toys and the prices are on point! I bring my kids for the Pokémon tournaments as well and most of their products are priced correctly. The staff is very knowledgeable and know what they are selling. Excellent selection of quality stuff. A real collectors paradise here with friendly and knowledgeable staff. They were able to get a hard to find item for me and were utterly fair in the pricing. Very happy with every interaction I've ever had here, highly recommend.

This store is huge compared to most. I just turned in a Motu Origins collection Yeah, and got way more money than I thought. Great selection, fun place.

Once again another great transaction! Always a fair trade in price based on current market value (they have to make profit too, that is the whole purpose of being in business!). Owners are very friendly and highly knowledgeable. Definitely recommend stopping in especially if you are looking for that hard to find/rare piece to add to your collection!

I love this place! There are other stores specializing in top shelf collectibles but I highly recommend this place! They have everything you need and didn't know you needed.

ACTUALLY, all Pokemon cards are priced at or below TCG Player. Everything else is priced right around 10% lower than current market value. Prices are incredibly reasonable and fair. A crazy amount of work, consideration, and sacrifice goes into building that place for the community. If you want to be treated fairly, pay honest and fair prices, and have a fun experience, this place is for you. I get that everybody can't be pleased. I have been a collector my whole life and I understand that having nice things means paying for them. I also know that its difficult to track some of that stuff down. This is a great stop that has a lot of good stuff, frequent rare finds and grails, fun gaming, great atmosphere, friendly service, and (at the risk of sounding repetitive) Fair Prices. I'll bet you have a great time.

5 stars because all the staff are super friendly great stuff and good variety of things like the n64 and gambit games to Pokémon cards and MTG as well as weekly tournaments for the games. The owner gray (yes like the color) super cool and values your time when you talk with him

This place is a hidden gem in Peoria! They’ve got tons of collectibles from Jurassic Park, Hotwheels, Batman, DC, Transformers, Power Rangers, Star Wars, GI Joe, Pokémon and more. My son had a blast checking everything out. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. I was brought in thanks to their Hotwheels Car Show which had a bunch of vendors outside the store in conjunction with a car show in the parking lot. Small businesses helping other small businesses. You love to see it. Will definitely be back in the future.

A very cool place. Some items were priced better than others but all on all it seemed pretty fair. The owners/ managers seemed pretty easy to deal with and seemed like they would help you out or try to help you in any way they can. It was a very enjoyable experience. But staring at toys is always an enjoyable experience for me

Great store! Owners son provides excellent customer service. Well worth your stop. Sometimes you need a X-Wing, this is the place to find it.

This is a great new store.  Owner has a great background and knowledge in collectibles.  Lots of parking well lit.  Lots of great product and well priced.  Good hours.  Great social platforms and e-commerce.  Buys, sells and trades.  Tons of action figures, comics and toys.  Trading cards as well.  Check out this place.  Highly recommended.  Kid friendly as well

Awesome shop with a large variety of vintage and new toys. The shop is also growing quickly with an assortment of video games, comic books, and trading cards. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

I like this place. Prices are fair. The only problem I have is that their Funko Pops are dwindling down. They downsized them so much that I've had to go elsewhere to find the ones I want. Hopefully they get the stock on those back up. Other than that, it's an excellent store.

We are sorry to hear about this, we have taking this information and are sing it to educate our staff better and see if there is room for improvement. 

The store is awesome and the selection is really good. The downside I had was on trading in stuff, I was told it was busy and had to leave the items and they would call when they're done which I was fine with. Then I saw a customer going through boxes that other customers had left and neither of the 2 employees standing right next to him told him to stop or anything. Ended up taking my items back with me as I didn't want to risk some random customer going through my stuff that the store hasn't bought off of me yet.

I didn't know they moved locations, but years ago I brought some items to trade and the owner was very condescending and kept accusing me of my item being fake, then saying it was legit doing that back and forth a few times. The item was legit, but he was so unprofessional. I hated the way he made me feel so I never went back. I felt very uncomfortable being around him. I still have trade credit and never used it. I should have left this review years ago, but didn't.

Whether it was their old location or the new one the employees are always chit chatting with each other and don’t bother to acknowledge the customer. I was looking for a particular item and had a few questions but was disappointed on their customer service and just left.

DONT MAKE DEALS HERE:

I used to be a solid fan of these guys, but they’ve gone as far as guaranteeing me that what I was buying wasn’t a reproduction n64 game. It turns out it was but the dude Val working was swearing up and down it was legit. They returned it and thankfully they put it down as a reproduction and the price went down drastically.

My 2nd interaction was to buy a pretty much complete set of Collectors edition Warcraft boxes (cib) originally was only getting a few of them and they informed me on Instagram that they had all of them but one. We had some back and forth and finally agreed that I’d come buy the first 4 of them today 2/3/25 and after I bought those, they’d hold the others for me for a set time. Well I wake up to a message from them saying they sold half of them to an EBay buyer. I told them they needed to tell the buyer they made a mistake. They basically said, “whoopsie”. Asked me if I wanted the others still, I said no because the way they run business is trash and unprofessional. I was told to have a good day.
Zero customer service or care for a buyer. They got their money, so they don’t care.

Big drop off from their previous place.  It is curated and more towards gaming instead of toys and collectibles.   Ugh

Moved with basically no notice but a piece of paper on the door. No apology for the inconvienence, much worst location and maybe half the inventory of what they had. Lied to my face and said "just decided to move last week". Clearly struggling and had to downgrade but couldn't be bothered to let their customers know the plan. Beyond disappointed, if I had kept driving would assume they were closed. Great way to lose people.

Guy working the counter told me he wouldn't buy any of my action figures because they didn't move.... Which all of them did move he just didn't give me the time of day..... Rude. Sketchy. Not cool. Not nice.

Getting really tired of buying things from this store that are missing pieces or broken, especially the items still in their original box.

If you're going to be selling things without all of their pieces, IN THE BOX, the price should reflect that and there SHOULD BE WARNING that you aren't getting all of the pieces.

I shop here with my husband and child pretty regularly, but honestly I'm thinking I'm tired of wasting my money here.

The last time we went in, we heard an employee expressing their concerns with the position and with their boss, who responded by threatening the employee with being fired.

I don't know if the location has just gone downhill or if everyone here is stressed lately, either way, huge red flags lately.

At first I thought it was a wonderful decent place to shop and would stop in quite often, but after a while I learned that the management runs a toxic hostile work environment, where the employees are incapable of voicing any criticism without immediate threat of termination. The incoming stock is almost always plundered through by the store employees before giving customers access. (Out of their own mouths.) Multiple times I've purchased Sealed items from them, only to have multiple parts missing. Probably not going to be spending my money over there anymore until there are massive changes. And I recommend you don't either.

I went to exchange my Thanos Hot Toys for Flash Hot Toys and they gave me 200 store credit but I regretted it but after 2 days I went with the intention of exchanging it but the woman and the man with the stupid hat told me that I couldn't buy those Hot Toys with store credit but the owner told him that if he could it makes me stupid that with store credit money you can't buy things from the store

This place needs to be turned in to the BBB they are corupt and deceptive. They say in there ads they go off market value on what they give for there trades from customers. That is a huge lie I took items in that totaled about 1400 in today's market and they offered me 60 dollars. My things were in beautiful condition and vintage and rare! They are not honest and should not be dealing with collectors they are out to take advantage of good people. Looked shocked when I passed on there rip off offer! And the Asian girl that works there follows you around and constantly asks you if your ok?? In a condescending manner! They all look grunjie and unkept. They have toys you can buy at Walmart today , and there selling them for more money and the items dusty and dirty just like the staff! If I could rate  no stars I surely would because that's what they deserve. They should be going out of business soon they pay store credit for decent reviews , trust me there's not any good reviews honestly earned. If you want to give away your collections just to see them turn around and sell them for ASTRONOMICAL prices then go trade with them! But if your a serious collector who values your items run the other way to anywhere but Retro rip off! ;) you've been warned !

Bought a handful of games.
2 did not work/boot, so I came in to return them.
After an employee took them in the back, I was simply told "they work".
I asked that, even though the games did not work on my consoles (which are like new) that Retro would not refund/take them back.
They said that "they have to be nonfunctional".
Poor consumer/customer service.

Bought Super Mario Deluxe and it does not work (see videos). Went back to exchange with receipt and was denied due to falling outside a 3 day window. I live in Gilbert and work in Casa Grande, the logistics make it super difficult to personally return an item in 72 hours. No compensation, no store credit, no refund. Just, “sorry you’re outside the 3 days and we have other people waiting”. So I’m out $30 for a broken game. Would not recommend.

We are sorry you had a bad experience, we are taking this information into account and using it to educate our staff better. 

I had a poor experience with the trade counter. I brought in a couple of items to trade and had an item in hand from the store ready to make a trade deal. There was only one other customer in the store but no customers at the trade counter. After about 20-30 minutes I asked him if he a rough estimate on how much time it would take. He hadn’t even looked at my items yet and could not give me an ETA. So I politely asked for my items back, placed the item I wanted back on the shelf, and left. Really made me feel like they don’t care to have my business. The owner and store manager are very nice people, but this was not a good experience for me.
