I stopped by Copper State Coin to sell some silver today.  I had an excellent experience there.  They acknowledged me as soon as I walked in, the wait was short and the staff very polite and helpful.  The person helping me had a price for me quickly, which I accepted.  They also had a variety of coins and bullion for sale, all at reasonable prices.  Overall, a very positive visit.  Highly recommended.

Came in with my grandfather's silver coin collection to sell. First time coming into the store. Very friendly service, took their time making sure everything was counted correctly. I never trust the internet. I had some coins that were either worth $3 or $1,500. I don't have the Professional Eye to tell the difference. I'm so grateful for Copper State coin that they have professionals who are honest and knowledgeable. I was able to sell a couple coins for more than I thought they were actually worth. I found Cooper State bullion online doing a google search of silver and gold close to me . The store closest to me is on 83rd and Thunderbird.
I called this morning and spoke with someone on the phone ( very polite and helpful) two hours later I walked in the store and I was greeted by Mike , I asked Mike some questions on silver prices and he was very straightforward with me.
I am the type of person who can feel if the person I am talking to is trustworthy.
Mike is very trustworthy in my opinion and he was very interested in things I was talking about, I asked his opinion ( to see if we were thinking the same way ) about silver and gold comparison and future outlooks .
He was honest with me and said I cannot tell you if tomorrow’s price is up or down.
But Mike and I were on the same page.
I never felt pressure to buy anything and I will definitely be back when I get my tax refund.
Friendly atmosphere everyone is down to earth.
Stop in and see for yourself, because I will be coming back.

Awesome customer service here! I just started investing and always come in with many questions. The gentleman are always very patient and answer all my questions and talk about this whole new investing world with me. They are wonderful with my kids, too, and get them excited about investing as well!

Coen and Mike were extremely friendly and helpful. I had a lot of coins that they went through individually and paid a very fair price for them. I also had two sets of sterling silver flatware. The price they paid was significantly more than two other places that I visited. I will use them again if my need arises or to buy gold. I was extremely satisfied.

I had several varieties of coins that were collected by my grandparents and passed down to me. I emailed with a couple questions and Mike responded very quickly and friendly to just come on by anytime for a review and estimate. When I arrived, Coen quickly assisted, sorted everything out and provided an offer to cash out. Very informative, friendly and a quick process. Love Copper State! They have a great inventory of unique and interesting pieces at excellent prices. Never any pressure in sales and the place is clean and well organized. Even though I had read other reviews, I still was somewhat apprehensive looking to deal with an unknown company. Fortunately, any reservations were immediately dismissed the moment I stepped through their front door. Copperstate coin shop is by far my favorite place to buy my silver and coins. I can't say enough about the staff, they are so friendly and always take the time to answer questions about the difference in the products that I'm interested in. Their shop is especially clean and organized. The price on their merchandise is clearly marked, so you know up front what you are paying. I've never felt rushed to make a decision. I really like being able to make a purchase online and have it ready when I get there after work. If you haven't tried them yet please give them a visit,  I think you will be impressed.

Hello George. I'm sorry I don't recall the transaction from a couple of months ago. We do use the granite counter tops to listen to coins when an item looks odd or we question authenticity. The pitch of silver and other metals are very different so the sound is a good tool when trying to confirm this. 

As for potentially selling valuable coins for the price common ones, I would say that this was not the case. I train our team members what to look for when helping customers evaluate their collections. We price collections everyday and do so with efficiency and great communication during the process. If we went through your collection, we would have pulled the better dates out and provided separate pricing on them. Simply put, valuable coins are not common. They are valuable because they are rare. We do not take advantage of people. We pay competitive prices for all of the items that come through the door. I plan on being in the valley for a long time time and taking advantage of people doesn't assist me in keeping the business strong for years to come. Leaving reviews based on worst case assumptions makes it difficult to measure for a business... We strive to maintain our 5 Star Rating and would have loved to speak to you prior to this review. 

A couple months back I brought my Morgan and peace dollar collection in to see if I could get a good price for my 160 coins. Half each Morgan and peace. The person checking them out stopped abruptly and walked away. Bounced the coin a couple times on the counter and went into an office. A minute or so later he walked back to me and said, isn’t the coin strange and the person in the office yelled, it’s fine. Morgan dollars can be worth a lot, and I have no proof. I have had a lot of sleepless nights thinking about this and I hope that if this strange incident cost me a loss of a valuable coin, the person that did it pays for his deeds when his time comes, and shame on me for being gullible.
