I relocated from Minnesota and had a large amount of precious metals, tokens and other collectibles. I took my items to every coin shop in Tucson  looking for the best quote. Peter had the most knowledge of my rare and odd items and offered, hands down the most cash of any dealer I visited. He was very willing to answer my questions, no matter how uneducated  they were. He also took much pride and excitement in educating me on many of my items I knew very little about, he offered me top dollar on items I did not realize were even worth anything. This shop was great, fair, honest and friendly!  Highly recommend! We first went to a different shop down the road about a mile to sell a coin collection we believed to be worth a few thousand dollars. The collection included 2 gold commemorative coins from Liberia, Africa. The gentleman at the other shop tried to tell us the two gold coins were actually only gold filled and were worth no more than two dollars each. I felt something was amiss. Ultimately he offered us $600 for our entire collection.  Thankfully we brought the collection here to Arizona Coins and Collectibles and got a much better deal!  Turns out our gold coins  were worth almost $1,700 each and the rest of the collection quite a lot more than that!  Thank you!

I came here in desperation to get some extra cash for a delinquent balance on a bill, I was offered double the amount that an online silver and gold buyer offered. These guys have integrity. They just gained another forever loyal customer. Save your time and come here.

Purchase a book. I can't put mine down, and when I do, I'm dreaming of going out and searching for coins.  He has an amazing collection of so many things. Go in and find your passion.

Saw Peter to sell some coins and old bills I had that have been in my family for a while. As someone who is not really a collector I did as much research as I could stand before trying the nearest dealer to me. I felt based on my research that Peter was giving me a fair price. I got pretty close to what I was hoping I would get and the bank didn't get their hands on them for face value so I was happy.
Peter seems like a man who wants to do good business so that you come back to see him again.
We talked about my pennies, I have acquired a fairly large amount over the years. Started rolling them to take to the bank. He said to bring them in and we can work it out by weight. Wanted to just do that with the bank in the first place but I dont have to deal or worry about it anymore,  I can just take them to Peter.
On top of that the store had some neet things, will have to look more close next time but I'm trying to bring things in not take them out.
Sure enough I saw something and got it the first time and will probably get something again the next time I go in.
I would recommend going in at least once and buying something that interests you. The prices seem fair and vary so even on a low budget you could probably find something you like. Or find something nice and pricey to if that's what your looking for.
It was fun for me, hope it's fun for you. Obviously its fun for Peter!

I have sold some coins to them a few times and highly recommend you give them a chance of you're looking to do some business in the coin industry. I have to say I appreciate their honesty and candor. The coin market is very fickle and confusing for someone who does not deal with it. After my great aunt passed I was left with quite a few coin collections that she had and amassed in her later years. Sadly she fell for the late night infomercials invoking her patriotic spirit and was told that these coin collections would be worth much much more than she paid for them. Unfortunately, as the case turns out usually with things like this, they are not. After spending countless hours scouring the Internet for values and the reasoning behind such values I threw up my arms in defeat and said forget it and came down to AZ coins & collectables. The gentleman that has helped me took the time to share his knowledge with me answering my stupid questions. (even being that I came in right before closing each time) I would highly recommend them if you're looking to get rid of some "stuff" or purchase some coins to start your own collection. They will steer you in the right direction and their prices are fair.  A++++

A small shop but with a shop owner with a seemingly abundance of knowledge and experience.  Of the handful of coin dealers I recently visited in Tucson, I had the best experience at this particular shop.

Very nice shop!  Great guy to work with because I was looking for specific years of American Eagle Silver.  He checked all the stock and found 6 out of 9 I was looking for.  Then he took my card and said he would keep an eye out for the 3 left to find.  This is my go to place for coins and the latest and up to date info on the market!

Addendum!  I received  a call within a few days, he had called a buddy and traded to get the coins I wanted.  I delight in friendly people who know their business and follow through.

My husband and I had a very positive experience with Peter, the owner of Arizona Coin and Collectables!  We had gold coins, old (90% ) silver coins and miscellaneous gold jewelry, including gold nugget pieces which we had decided to liquidate. Peter made the entire process very pleasant — fun, really! I had checked the BBB ratings before I came in, and Arizona Coins had been the best, so I came in. Peter welcomed me at the door, then helped me with the coins that I had brought in. He looked at every one, and checked them, then made what I considered a very fair offer, which I accepted. If I find any other coins that I want to sell I will certainly stop here first, just because I felt so comfortable with the way i was treated.

Answered my questions, albeit with an annoyed and impatient attitude, even though the store was empty at the time. Price for American Silver Eagle was ok, not great.
Generally rude and impatient.
Shop has a poor to non-existant ‘selection’ of ancient coins, British Sovereigns or Canadian Maple Leafs (only Roman and Greek coins over $1,000 value).
Only American Silver Buffalo was a scratched 2011 bullion.
I do not recommend this shop.

We're sorry you had a negative experience, Robert. We do get very busy at times and there is sometimes a wait. The couple that you're referring to were in the store before you, though, and we cannot hold anyone's place in line if they choose to leave the store and come back in. Dear Square, thank you for the feedback. Apologies that our shop was busy and we didn't get a chance to speak with you. As far as our prices are concerned, most shops charge a few dollars over spot, so you should expect that at whatever shop you choose. We hope you'll visit us again and give us the opportunity to earn an updated review, but judging from the middle finger salute you gave everyone on your way out, we're guessing you won't be back. 

Terrible. Rude. I just wanted to know his price on generic silver rounds over the phone.. his response “I’m busy right now so just come in and I’ll help you” I drive 30 minutes to find out he’s rude in person as well and he’s charging 4 dollars over spot on spotted dirty generic rounds. What a rip off. Don’t waste time coming here. Edit: I did not flip off or say one word to anyone as I left! You sir are a liar. And 4 over spot is well over what every other local shop in Tucson sells for. Do better.

You came in 15 minutes prior to closing time (with no appointment) with dozens of coins that you wanted Peter to examine and place a value on. With decades of experience, Peter can look over a group of coins quickly and pick out any that have value, or that could have value if they were properly slabbed and graded. Peter pointed out some of your coins that you could have slabbed and referred you to ANACS for more information. The rest of the coins were worth face value only. We welcome you to give us another chance in the future.

Was a very weird experience to say the least! I brought in quite a few coins to sell and although I don't know much about coins, which I made the man aware of, I do know every one of them should be looked at before making an offer and not just dug through like a change jar. Basically the man was pretty rushed and didn't take his time to even look at each individual coin and didn't explain anything about why such a low ball offer for so many items. Although it's a nice place, I'm trying to learn a bit and it was definitely not a very personable or knowledgeable experience so I won't be back.
