Absolutely delighted. My Room & Board Sanna chair was badly damaged in a recent move. The wood frame was split with chunks of wood missing. Alan worked his magic restoring the structural integrity, replacing missing pieces, and color matching the finish. A true craftsman—thank you!

Yes: Alan is five stars plus He repaired my grandmothers carved wood chair that a pit bull puppy had used as a chew toy and it was completely restored to original perfection. I had cried when that happened thinking that it was destroyed. I am in awe of his wood working talents: really an old world master craftsman.

I decided to give Alan a call because his reviews were great, and his shop is located near my home. Not only does he do great work, but he's also a very friendly person who is nice to be around. First and foremost, Alan does beautiful work. He just refinished a lovely French Provincial bed for me, doing some light repairs to the frame and panels as well. The bed looks great, he was efficient, is a good communicator, and I believe the price was fair. He had me in to investigate stain options and worked with me until we found the right one. I've worked professionally in residential interior design for seven years, and I'm very happy with the final product. But now I can't wait for the next thing I need to refinish, because ALAN. IS. DELIGHTFUL. Seriously, he's just fun to work with. If you have to pick someone to deal with while refinishing furniture (which I can't imagine most people are stoked about?), you should pick Alan. He is affable, has a great sense of humor, and he really knows how to treat antiques. Do yourself and your furniture a favor and refinish it here!
