Came in looking for some cards. While the selection was small, the customer service was amazing. The guy behind the counter was incedibly friendly, and it's a really nice little store. I plan on coming back bringing some friends just to hang out and play some games at their tables.

I’m a huge comic collector! I moved here from TN and I wanted some new issues to put on my wall in my office. Arsenal had a reprint sale of some issue one’s and I HAD to take the deal! They have a bunch of comics there that gave me major flashbacks to when I was young. Now with my comic wall complete, I’ll be coming back to read more comics and look for cool covers for my next wall. Thinking of getting one of their signed or exclusive covers next.

Lucky to have such an outstanding local comic book store. Selection is solid, all the current comics, back issues, games, figures, etc.. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, the interior is bright, clean and well organized with a decent sized area in the back for gaming.

Can’t believe Ventura County gets this top notch comic book and game store after I move away. The owner knows his stuff and the right people to staff that get the job done. Great selection and if by chance they don’t have he’ll take care of it. Running a business must be in Tim’s blood. Can’t wait to go back when I’m near by again.

First off, I love this store. I've been going since it first opened. Timmy is a great store owner, and he has some great items for sale and great prices. My dad let me know that someone left a bad review on here with the same name as my real name. I ended up reporting it as someone impersonating me and as a purely false review. Because Arsenal has great prices on Pokemon products, I have even bought some in the past since I collect pokemon cards myself. After looking again, it seems google has taken the review down. They need to vet people making reviews on here! You are doing a great thing for the community, Timmy, and you have all of my support!

Clean, plenty of comics from lots of different publishers. Staff was pleasant and they have a Graphic novel rewards program. They also have action figures and a good assortment of board games. Close to an In N Out which is a plus for most. I recommend this place.

I’ve been with this store since it’s humble beginnings. Timmy, (the owner), Paul, and other staff are extremely helpful. As a person who was always into manga but “couldn’t figure out” the dynamics of the vast world comics... they steered me in good directions! Now after taking the plunge within recent days, I can’t get enough of the stuff! I would definitely recommend this store, (and it’s staff), as being the ones to go to when it comes to comics! I come here all the time because not only is it the only place to find comics and board games and TTRPG supplies, but it has the friendliest staff I have ever encountered. I am always greeted with the friendliest hello and, even though I am a regular, they always ask if I need help finding anything. Awesome place! I got over 200 magic cards here and the guys charged me for less. They gave me free card bundles too. They gave my friend, who is new to magic, 2 welcome decks and were really nice to her. I always come here when I need comic books because their stuff isnt overpriced and they rarely add tax to things. They also have a lot of 25 cent comics that are super fun to read too. Unlike a lot of comic shops in thousand oaks, they don't hike up the price. When something is supposed to be sold for $2.99, they sell it for $2.99. In the back, they have about a dozen tables for playing whatever you want to play at any time, except during Friday night magic tournaments and dnd nights.

Absolutely great comic book shop! They have everything for you to get lost in the store and spend a couple hours digging through old comics to help you complete your collection. They gave a great variety of collectibles and trade paper backs as well. Plus it is one of the few comic shop in Ventura county, definitely a place to stop by!

I want to give a special shoutout to Luke at Arsenal Comics and Games. I couldn’t get to the store until the last hour on a Saturday when they were closing at 8:00pm. I had about a million different questions about books, storylines, runs, etc. etc. etc. He was TOTALLY patient with me, and even enthusiastic about explaining everything and then some. He made me feel comfortable, when I’m sure he had a lot to do at the end of the day.

Great selection of games and wide selection of comics. I go usually for the games, but anytime I needed a comic from BOOM studios, they had it! Staff is really friendly, helpful, and welcoming. They also pick up their phone too! Also, there are some fun extras like a two bins of different kinds of dice - each die is a dollar and you can mix and match your own set! Great local business.

This place is great!!! HUGE selection!!! Everything from old comic book collections to brand new comics. A bunch of graphic novels and even manga. They have DND figurines and books, they run campaign events on Thursday. The also have magic the gathering tournaments and a large selection of their cards. Very well priced and super friendly staff. They also sell shirts and Knick knacks alike. All in all a great place to go if you need some "nerd equipment."

Arsenal Comics & Games is easily the best comic shop I have ever visited.

I first went to arsenal with a request for a comic run that two other shops said would be impossible to fulfill. Despite just opening and being extremely busy Timmy told me he would see what he could do. Two weeks later he had the entire run I had asked for.

Every time I have visited the shop the staff has been extremely friendly and helpful. They make great recommendations, have a huge wall of weekly releases, a great board game selection, and their case of hard to find comics is one of the largest I have seen outside of a convention.

They host board game nights, where you can test play games as well as TCG games. The Magic events are run well and there is a ton of room to play, so you aren't cramped like some shops get. Also the bathroom is kept clean and well stocked with supplies which is a huge plus for these events as well.

If you are in Ventura county and wanting to visit a comic shop I could not recommend Arsenal Comics & Games more highly. All the staff are good people and no matter what your experience with comics has been, they will treat you well.

My go-to comic shop. Excellent selections, excellent people. They treat the products great, and one thing I especially appreciate is they will sell complete runs of titles. Picked up Batman Year One for a good price. Decent shape, original issues and I didn't have to spend an absurd amount of money for it. Definitely a shop to frequent if your in the Thousand Oaks area.

Definitely the best comic shop I've been to.  The owner Timmy is always really helpful and likes to talk about the series I'm reading and will even give me recommendations, but not in a hard sell kind of way.  Great selection, great atmosphere, great staff.

The owner has a vast array of knowledge and expertise and the people who work for him also knowledgeable.  I've been in a few times for my walking dead fix (I get the large books at this point), and the staff is always happy to help.  From the moment you walk in, you are transcended to a world of geekery and nerdom.  The shop itself has a variety of different comics, games and collectibles.  A must for any comic lover in the area.

The shop also offers nights for magic the gathering as well as concerts for local bands.  It's more than a comic book shop, it's a place to feel home and belong.

A last and very important note:  there's some really great signings that happen.  Liking this place on Facebook and staying up to date is an absolute must for any comic book fan (you never know when your favorite author is going to pay this place a visit- it happens more than you think).

I have been taking my daughter to Arsenal for over a year now. She loves comics and absolutely LOVES this shop! We look forward to picking up her pull every week! Arsenal is my go-to place to pick up comics, old and new! They frequently have really fun events like meet and greets with artists and writers, midnight launches of big events, and occasionally book clubs! On top of that, the owner Timmy is both extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Whenever I've had a question he has been quick to answer it and always has great recommendations. On top of that, the other staff members are extremely personable and knowledgeable, and it feels like everyone is there to have a good time talking about some cool stuff. By far the number one Comic Shop in Ventura County!

Arsenal comics and games has been a blessing to this little town and the owner is nothing but kind, helpful and enthusiastic to customers. Though Timmy is the man in charge, his awesome staff also bring out the light this little shop emenates on a daily basis. You have questions, they have answers. You want recommendations, they’ll have a list in their back pocket on the ready. I’ve lived in this town eleven years and never knew just how many nerds were in it until this little gem opened up. Timmy’s customer service is outstanding, and it always great about special orders for us, helps with our Funko pop fix and sets asides comics we might be interested in - and he has some really fun events at his store that are definitely worth a look.

I cannot say enough good things about this store. Im a huge fan of supporting local businesses and it has taken me some time to find a store that has kept me wanting to come back time and time again. I started coming to this store about a year ago because they had issues in stock I literally could not find anywhere else, if anyone knows DCs rebirth series they know how hard some those issues were to find. From then on I have been blown away with the quality this store provides. Tim knows his stuff and goes above and beyond for his customers. It's a wonderful store full of enthusiasm, fun, and can-do attitudes and spirits. They're always willing to help you out, and they provide a great refuge for a town where there isn't much to do. This store has games, music, comics and manga, action figures, posters all sorts of things! A great place for people of all ages and they are a welcome addition to our community!

Great for comics but they no longer stock board games :( Just visited after being out of town for a few years and it was only comics and ttrpgs. Don't get me wrong, love both, but I was in the market for board games today.

Wonderful comic book store. My daughter and I enjoyed their free comic book day. Lots of comics and deals. Apparently they also host various game nights with an entrance/participation fee.

Pretty good as far as it goes as a comic store in terms of actual service, but the atmosphere is kinda dead feeling, if that makes sense. I can’t tell if it’s because it feels dim or it’s ACTUALLY dim, or if it’s just because I’m coming in during off hours, but it’s always so dead feeling whenever I come in. Half the store’s real estate is taken up by the tcg-tabletop spot, which I’ve never seen a soul in. The trading card section isn’t really up to snuff for me, but then again it’s a comic store first and foremost.

If you came to socialize with people of the same interest, you might not find it too appealing, but if you’re just there to walk in, buy stuff, then leave, then you might like it. It’s just not for me.

The customer service was good. They seemed really nice. Just disappointed with the game selection. In the pictures it showed a game board section. When I went, did not really see any game boards. I did end of purchasing a comic for my daughter but it was not my intent when going. I drove a distance to go there, so it was even more disappointing to find not a single board game.

The phone call was minutes, I’m by myself, I had a line of people at the register, I told you over and over that we were doing Lorcana in store only first come first served. I was polite, respectful, and on the phone longer then I should have been with people in front of me wanting to be checked out. I don’t know what else you want from me other then me to change the rules for you. 

And you’re lying. You didn’t drive yet, you said on the phone you’re going to drive 3 hours and I told you it wouldn’t be worth the drive since it most likely be sold out by the time you got here so you wouldn’t waste the gas.

Wow just had a pretty bad experience with the owner Tim couldn't answer a simple question or speak to a customer for more then 20 seconds sad I drove hours to spend hard earned money here before I knew it was owned by a jerk. His employees are awesome and respectful not the case with him.

It's unfortunate you're upset our comic shop employee wanted to talk comics with a customer. It's difficult to stay current on every prepriced Magic single. It never hurts to double check prices when you buy singles!

Gave this place several chances and my disappointment has just increased. Employee seemed more concerned with a conversation about comic books than helping two customers just standing there waiting. MTG prices are too high and if you don't check they will overcharge on singles.
