One of the best finds I have made since moving to Petaluma via SF from NYC is this store. What a true gem!! Laura has a discerning eye and impeccable taste; the store is merchandised to perfection!! As I cannot travel to France- luckily for me, she does several times a year and brings back these great finds that I can pepper throughout my own chateau. This store and it's treasures are definitely worth your time when you are coming to Petaluma.

I love this showroom of beautiful French antiques! Laura and her husband have excellent taste in choosing fabulous design pieces from many periods throughout history. We purchased a gorgeous marble fireplace mantel and look forward to returning for more amazing finds!

I was driving up Baker street and saw a yard sale sign on a pole when I saw some guy come and rip down the sign so I watched him to see where he was going and then he went into the this store nearby. I waited to see what would happen when someone came back to put the sign up and noticed the guy coming back out. I couldn't hear exactly what was being said but this man coming from the antique store was screaming at this other person about the sign and said something along the lines of "I'll tear this up" and was pointing at the yard sale sign. That is disgusting to think people can't have a simple yard sale without some jerk store owner trying to disrupt them on a relaxing sunday. The sign wasn't on the antique stores property and didn't say anything except for "yard sale" with the address.

Recently attempted to purchase a small, damaged table from the owner after a tech issue on my end allowed him to outbid me at an auction house near me. I had the auction house contact him with my offer to buy it from him cash with a healthy profit. He agreed to sell it to me but at a much higher price, in fact at its highest valuation. This was much more than he paid for it but I agreed as long as I could pick the table up here, and not drive to Petaluma. The table held personal memories for me. With quarantine, many of us have been hit hard, financially so his greediness was a stretch, but I did agree to pay. For the next two weeks he'd book an appointment, change the appointment, or cancel that appointment. I literally offered to meet him at the auction house to pay him. He had no respect for my time or schedule. It was maddening, rude, insulting. If he did not want to sell it to me he did not have to contact me. Instead it was all games and rudeness. He acted like his world was the center of the universe. When he cancelled yet another appointment he suggested I drive two hours (each way) to come get a table that had been literally ten minutes away from me for two weeks. These are the kind of games that come from entitled white men or narcissists. When I told him driving to Petaluma was out of the question , he said I was an angry person? Apparently if you call someone out on wasting your time for two weeks it has nothing to do with their disrespectful actions. There was no accountability on his end. I would not trust this person to hold a cup of coffee, much less with items in my home.
