Her shop lures you in from her distinctive store front window displays and once you have entered you cannot leave. I mean that in a good way. Crystal is not just talented in her taste in unique decor but also for her talent in creating vampire blood, voodoo dolls and jewelry. She has everything to satisfy ones curiosity that mixes beauty and unique items of interest together to create her popular Placerville shop.

The shop is well designed & decorated and has many unique items, but most of it is painted black refurbishment and recycled items clearly obtained from various, thrifty, resources and greatly marked up in price! The owner could use an attitude adjustment as well. Perhaps she ought to find a nicer person to mind the store for her. I wanted to buy more, but because she was so cranky when speaking with her, I couldn‘t be bothered after a bit. Since I‘ve been in there, I‘ve found equal to better items she offers, via the interwebs and other shops throughout Placerville and beyond (with better prices). I enjoy shopping in small businesses and supporting the local economy, and I would have bought a lot more from the "Gothic Rose" if she hadn't been such a thorn!
