Pope's Antiques in Yucca Valley, California appears to be a well-regarded antique store known for its auctions and diverse inventory. The store has received positive reviews from customers highlighting the unique items and enjoyable auction experiences. One reviewer, Osman Fuentes, praised the store, saying "it's the best to find things that you'll say are old papers" and mentioning plans from construction sites in Los Angeles from 1975 to 1991 that he was able to purchase. This suggests Pope's Antiques offers a wide range of vintage and antique items, including rare historical documents and architectural plans. Another customer, Elizabeth Ryan, simply stated "Great auction, very nice people. Very helpful and the best deals," indicating the store hosts engaging auctions where shoppers can find exceptional bargains on antique merchandise. This sentiment is echoed by reviewer STC, who noted "The auctions are always fun and I always find great stuff at unbeatable prices. The people that work here are always friendly and helpful." However, not all customer experiences were entirely positive. Debra Hale commented that "Had good selection of products. Did not like that it was impossible to outbid the dealers and many items were sold in large lots," suggesting the store's auctions may cater more to professional dealers than individual collectors at times. Overall, Pope's Antiques appears to be a beloved local institution in Yucca Valley, California, offering a unique shopping experience centered around engaging auctions and a diverse inventory of vintage and antique items.

I love auctions and Pope's Auctions is one of the best. The auctions are always fun and I always find great stuff at unbeatable prices. The people that work here are always friendly and helpful. The lady who helps with the paperwork, Sharon, is great! My only complaint is that every time I come to an auctions at Pope's, I seem to need a bigger truck.

I went to this auction and anyone thinking of going will need to know this, they are very disorganized and don't care once you win a item. This is what happen, they put up a big selection of glass and porcelain figurines ,the high bidder would get to take as many as they want at that price [$15]each, they took about 20,I took 4,someone took 2,then Jack the auctioneer then offered all remaining for total of$25 ,I took all of them ,I pick up 1 of them and on the bottom it had a old price tag of $75,a guy behind me said it pays to be in the right place.but at the end of the auction when I went to get all that I won a several plus the one with the $75 price was missing 5 or 6 pcs, also I won a leather jacket they put it out side in the sun and dirt, when they gave it to me it was wadded up and dirty. They had a hard time finding other peoples orders also.On the invoice when you win a multiple lot that has many pieces , it will say 1 on the invoice ,like the porcelain and 3 pictures and 3 vases all said 1,so they had a hard time finding item and not just my lots. SO JUST KEEP TRACK OF WHAT YOU WIN AND HOW MANY PIECES ,JEWELRY WOULD BE A BIG PROBLEM,MY MISTAKE WAS WALKING AWAY FROM THE TABLE BEFORE COUNTING THE PIECES .HOPE THIS HELPS.
