This place was absolutely AMAZING!! Not only do they have so many wonderfully things including the Best Pokemon selection. The Customer service was Amazing I will be back for sure!!!

Nice little place. Lots of stuff. Almost any kind of collectible you can find. Prices are good. Trading and selling is good. The staff is great and friendly and will always help. First time going in ..I was there to sell some comic books my father had found...the owner was fair and gave me a good amount for what I had...I would definitely recommend stopping in and seeing what he has ...the store is stocked from floor to ceiling so make sure you have the time to see everything here....he also carries cool and weird snacks along with local soda.

Very friendly shop with a variety of sports cards.  We’re super excited to see they support great grades.  Show them the report cards to get a discount!  Such a wonderful incentive for our youth!  Bravo Matt’s!

This place is truly incredible. There are no other collections quite like the one that’s here. I’ve had the pleasure of speaking with Shanon and a few other staff members who help out and they have been nothing but helpful, friendly, and intelligent. Out of all the stores in the area for Connecticut in Massachusetts. This is by far my favorite.

Having a few hours to kill on my way to the airport, I chose this shop on a whim. I'm very glad I did. They have a phenomenal manga selection, one of the best I've ever seen. I was able to fill several holes in my collection. While the prices aren't exactly low, they are fair. Should I find myself in Connecticut again, I will be sure to stop by.

I've been going to Matt's over 27 years and this is his best version of his store yet!!!. The place is huge, full of graphic novels, statues,action figures new and old, Manga and other Japanese animae
culture, I get my comics, candy If I want, and If wanted to know something  he finds  out the answer  for me and  best of all Matt himself makes me laugh so much. (He's funny)His staff that work there are all awesome  and helpful and I feel like it's a place I  really fit in and can nerd  out!! Absolutely  judgement free place.

So many awesome things to pick from!! TONS comics and Funko pops and a whole bunch of other very cool things, definitely a place to check out.

This store has an amazing variety of collectibles, it's much larger than it looks on the outside. Matt is very knowledgeable, he and his employees are very friendly and it's a fun place to visit.

Great store for cards. They have anything you can imagine. Great menu for topps cards and they stay up to date on market values. Will return for all card purchases. If your into sports cards or even battle game cards this is the place.

The best comic store ever.  Matt stocks everything.  Incredible stock of statues, manga, cards and sports memorabilia.  If you collect any of the above you drfinately want to visit.

I visit Matt’s at least 3-4 times a year when I’m in town and it’s usually one of the small highlights of my trip with my kids. My son is obsessed with football and baseball cards and Matt’s has plenty. Fortunately, they have a wide range of cards to choose from with prices to match so my kid can stay in his budget. My daughter loves all the unique Asian treats and snacks and usually walks out with a full bag of goodies. Tons of great anime and manga and basically any comic you want, they probably have. The collection is insane and every time I go in they are building more shelving units to hold their stuff. Highly recommend not only for comic nerds but for anyone into collectibles or interesting snacks from the East!

Awesome Visit! Second time there!! The lady working was well  Knowledged on her product and even discounted some of the items for us, They trust you and actually let you shop without watching over your shoulder like other places we have been to! Definitely stop by and grab something! Their selection of collectibles is amazing!

I have to say this store has one of the biggest selection of manga in Connecticut and they also got a nice selection of video games and anime on DVD/Blu Ray they've even got some of those ramune sodas there  which is  pretty neato

I had a great experience going into the store. The staff and owner are super friendly, informative, and they have a HUGE selection! I am working with a new business, Revamp Nutrition, and wanted to reach out and meet neighbors in the community. The Funko Pop section is amazing, many that I can't just find anywhere! This store is fantastic! The selection is unparalleled, and there is something for everyone. It’s well organized, the woman who assisted us was knowledgeable, friendly and so helpful. 12/10, we will be back next time in town!

Incredible selection, amazing how many books, magazines,  comic books, sports cards, action figures, etc. are packed in this store. I didn't know this much material existed! Much larger inside than it looks outside ....friendly and personable employees....

This store has by far the largest collection of action figures I have seen in a long time. Fantastic selection, great polite people. The only downside is that nothing is priced on the store and you have to take the action figures to the counter every time so they can price match online and give you a revised price. Even the ones that do have price it varies wildly when you take them which makes it a frustrating buying experience as a collector to have to take everything up front over and over and hope for a good price. I ended up not buying even half of what I intended to because of this, since as mentioned above they have a fantastic selection. It’s definitely a must go store and I highly recommend it.

I haven’t been in a comic book store in like 10 years since I worked at 1 in high school.

I took my nephew to get Pokémon cards. This place was pretty awesome and had a huge toy collection of some hard to find figures. We bought some Pokémon packs and they had a real nice kid section with cheaper books.

The person working there was really nice. Went with a 6 and 8 year old. I noticed they had comic book short boxes with characters on them. I asked for one guy went on a ladder and looked at a few boxes until he found an X-men one I wanted. As my nephews only read Spider-Man and X-Men.

I did read some of the comments.

*all comic book stores give u 0.01% of what you paid for the same items at the store. They are a store you are not. When I traded/sold my comic collection 10+ years ago they gave me $20-50 books for stuff I paid maybe 500-100 while collecting. But you probably pulled out the more expensive items like most people do. Always laugh when people outgrow their stuff then come into these stores and are soul crushed to realize they had mostly worthless paper and you have to tell them this is all going in the 50 cent bin. Will probably still be there when your kids are your age.

* all these items are collectible. Everything I looked at had prices. You are trying to hustle a store. It’s not going to happen.

I brought a few cards for Matt to give me his professional opinion if I should have them sent out to be graded. He was super busy, but took some time as I looked around. The woman came back with two piles to differentiate a send and no send. How cool was that?!

Seemingly good prices, but they are Very market price driven...you are not likely to get something way undervalued and a super deal; like I said, they're very organized, including pricing spreadsheets.
An excellent shop overall!

I went here today looking for the new set of Pokémon cards while I was in the area. I found an abundance of ETB’s and booster boxes from the latest sets and was surprised at how much was there given the popularity. I got a booster box for $129 which is $15 lower than on the Pokémon center website not including taxes. I spoke with the owner(who was extremely nice) about how often they are stocked with these items and he told me his schedule on his orders and even showed me what he hasn’t put on the shelves yet. The store itself has so much cool collectibles I spent an extra 10 minutes exploring after I made my purchase. I’ve found my new go to card store would recommend to anyone in the area!

What a great place!  We stopped in today and the woman that helped us was so kind and pleasant while my kiddos were shopping. We will certainly be back.  Great selection of all kinds of things from baseball to Pokemon to marvel, comics, POP figures etc.

I was pleasantly surprised by Matt's Sports Cards & Comics. This store has a pretty good supply of mid-range boxes from all sports at competitive prices. I wasn't sure if they were going to have boxes, I couldn't tell from online research. A strong negative is that its difficult to view and price boxes. I wouldn't mind a list or menu of boxes to review. Is there an app for that?

I took my kids ages 14f, 11m, 6f. My oldest found a ton of Anime stuff. She commented that the selection was much bigger and better than expected. The Pokemon and other gaming pack selection was very good, the younger two ripped some packs. Lots of loose packs gaming and sports was cool. Lots of protective supplies for reasonable prices. They pretty much have the whole array of protective supplies. I bought mags, bags, and softies at every size including booklets. They clearly understand collecting. Check them out!

Went to this shop with my family on vacation.  The kids all found collectibles they love and I found comics I've been trying to find for a while.  Also, shopkeeper was very sweet.  She took great care of us.  If we lived near Enfield we'd be here all the time.

Outstanding service, no matter how rare you think an item is, Matt's is likely to have it! Matt and all of his employees are extremely nice and helpful as well. Best variety I have ever seen in a store like this, and fair prices as well. Will 100% be back!

This review will focus mainly on comics.  I was impressed by the paperback bound collection of Marvel reprint editions around the store.  The owner (Matt?) was very nice and helpful.  He is not letting people browse through the back issue boxes at this time.  HOWEVER he went above and beyond in pulling specific titles and issues that I named to him.  He has quality back issues at reasonable prices. (I bought some keys today.)  Given the other stores in the Springfield area, this is going to be my go to place from now on.  A couple of tips to help the process.  Call ahead and make sure the owner's there.  (He's the only one that can pull those back issues.)  Have a list of what you want ready when you walk in.  The customer service was exemplary on this visit.  Again, if in Springfield, MA, this should be the first stop.  Looking forward to my next visit!

Huge inventory with significant current commercial stock. However if it's old stock, don't expect to see any prices. He will literally look up listing prices on eBay and say "this is what I can sell it for." But, knowing the value of what you want or the recent "sold" prices on eBay won't help.

This place has a mind-boggling amount of collectables and graphic novels.  They also had 100% of the back issues that I was looking for.  The irksome part is that you're not allowed to look at the back issues yourself - you have to ask them to get them for you.  The owners are very nice and accommodating, it just makes issue browsing uncomfortable.  This is more of a "email them a pull list" type of place.

GREAT place to find LOADS of manga with a VERY nice and knowledgeable staff! Only thing I didn't like, which is why I can'tgive it a higher rating, was that everything is cover price, unless it's rare out of print, in which case it is understandably more expensive (market value). Everything. Used, damaged, yellowed pages, faded covers, everything. Some books still had stickers from thrift books, or were clearly ex-library, but they were still cover price.

The woman with glasses is always friendly and they have a nice variety of manga and a lot of rare ones I may add. However I stopped in today with a load of manga to see what the owner would buy from me. He wanted to buy them for $1-$2 each when one of the manga I own is worth at least &100 alone. And I know that they would have sold it for much more than $2. Disappointed. He’s not the friendliest of chaps but maybe he was in a bad mood. Honestly I was more upset by his attitude than the cheap offer. Would go there again to buy not to sell.

Seems like a nice shop, big selection. Try to stop here when I am up here on Military orders, but unfortunately everytime I stop in there is an issue. The person at the counter won't let me see any cards in the glass without the owner present. The most recent time, was a bit stand offish about me asking and stated not sure if they are even priced correctly.... Very put off. I spent quite a bit on my 1st visit,  last 4 times I  visited he isn't there or I can't even look at anything to purchase. Cards are labeled by player w a divider on top so I can't even see them through the glass. I give up.

Definitely qlot of cool things but you have to be rich to shop at this place

I’d highly recommend looking up the online prices of figures you see in store. As there are no price markings on them and they determine the price right before selling them, it could be significantly more expensive. For example, I paid $37 (with tax) for a One Piece figure and it’s $25 (with prime shipping) on Amazon. I didn’t have my phone with me and didn’t have the heart to say no at the register but it’s not a great practice to find a price on the spot. I understand higher pricing to make a profit but $10 extra is bit much for this type of product. There needs to be more consistency.

The extra star is for the lady who helped me grab the item. She was nice.

Owner had a big store but ended up spending 15min looking up the prices for about 5-8 action figures I picked out on eBay. I have a eBay account too you know…… why not just put prices on things? It was a very uncomfortable shopping experience overall.

Great little store BUT the woman literally followed me around with her phone looking up funko prices as I asked how much they were . I picked up one marked 40$ and she comes over and takes it , looks it up online then tells me its $100! Completely unprofessional they should already have set prices on things instead of making them up on the spot or changing prices when people aren't there maybe .

Good store but very crowded and not really easy to get to the back issues. Went yesterday on free comic day and with the people inside was crazy. He should think about a bigger space. I like the fact that he collects cans for comics on free comic day. The store has the biggest collection of statues I have ever seen so if looking for one of those, this is the place to go. I also wish he would have had sale on newer comics on free comic day, even 10%.

Great inventory and fun set up. My complaint is I wanted to purchase a trade paperback I found on the shelves and was told they had to raise the price of it. So the price of a trade paperback of reprints had its price increase by $15.00 between the shelf and the counter. Instead of making $15.00 they didn’t sell the book and have lost my business

Unfortunate they go by troll and toad. Only place in the area I know that does this. Went in for bulk pokemon one time and sat there for about a half hour while each card was looked up individually. I don’t recommend unless you don’t mind overpaying.

    As you are well aware I’m home sick today and had to talk to your dad over the phone, I was on speaker and tried my best to speak so I could be heard clearly, I apologize if things were not clear enough to be heard properly or if there was any miscommunication. Hopefully, this is ALL just miscommunication, but I will respond, nevertheless.
   My friend is watching the shop for me while I’m sick, so imagine my surprise when she calls me to say that your dad, David (who I've known for close to 30 years) is giving her a hard time about going into an area of the store that is off limits to customers. It is the basement where I keep my private collection and while I do let people I know (like your dad) look at it and purchase items now and then, it is my personal collection and off limits unless I am there. David knows this so I do not understand why he kept pushing the issue. To have my friend who is watching the shop call me upset about someone not taking no for an answer was unsettling at best. You can ask the same question multiple times but no means no, stop, end of story.
    I explained to him Today, once again, how things have been stolen down there and I was the only person allowed to show people my personal stuff. Your dad still pulled the “but it’s me” card. I know it is Dave, he would NEVER steal, I know that BUT if people see him down there it opens the whole “well why can he go and not me” thing. If I make an exception for him, even though I know and trust him, it just causes more problems. I tried my best to explain this, it’s not a slight to him in the least and I’m sorry he took it as that. 
     To have your guys say “I’m not the only game around and you’ll shop other places” because I would not let him in a restricted area? To have you cuss and insult at my friend and say you are going to leave bad reviews “all over the internet”, because you were denied something…that you cannot understand a rule I put in place in my own store, to protect my personal collection? That someone I have known for 30 years would blow up like that, over a store policy? I don’t know, maybe you guys are having a bad day, maybe my cough medicine is making me loopy (it is, I feel like death), but I’ve always thought your dad and I had more respect for each other than this, But what do I know, I’m a moron.
    If your dad wants to come in and talk to this self-proclaimed moron, hopefully I will be back on my feet by Wed. This cough is just kicking my butt. Your dad and I have known each other forever, to say that today was weird and out of the ordinary would be an understatement. Despite what happened earlier, I wish all the best to you and the family, I hope you enjoy the new year. 


The owner of this store is an absolute moron. He employs people that don’t know anything about the products he sells, and gets easily frustrated when asked multiple questions. Everything is covered in dust and horribly maintained. The statues he sells are unbelievably overpriced, with him not even hesitating to tell you to “go shop somewhere else if you don’t like the price” upon showing that the item he was trying to sell was $20 less than he wanted, he yelled at us to go somewhere else. I’ve never been treated like such garbage by a business owner, and absolutely nobody should give this man their money.

NOTHING IS PRICED FOR WHAT YOU ACTUALLY BUT IT FOR. Picked up two books that had no price on them besides the market price ($24.99 each). I got to the register and the cashier handed my books a guy and he PRICED CHECKED THEM. He told me one would be $35 and the other would be $50. I bought them because those are pretty much the going prices online. But that’s no way to do business. Either mark your stock with the prices you want for them, or have signage stating that prices are subject to fluctuate according to online prices. Never shopping here again.

My reviews are usually small but WOW..Rude staff...it actually felt uncomfortable, I was followed around and each Funko was price checked online after I put the Funko down. EVERY ONE was Price Checked/Price Modified on the spot (continually told, "Those are old prices.", on every item I WAS interested in.). The experience was awful and may I add I am not the first one to review about the on the spot price checking/modifying.
