Bill Oakley is a gem of a restorer/artist who brought our 1950's mid century couch and 1950's cherry dresser back to life. He has an extraordinary eye for detail and a wealth of knowledge of materials. He's also lovely to work with! I'm grateful someone suggested him to me years ago. Bill Oakley just completed refinishing the top of a small desk for us. They did a FABULOUS job. Wood refinished, leather top reattached, gold trim touched up. That’s as good a job as I have seen a furniture refinished do. Ever.

Oakley Restoration & Finishing llc has done a beautiful job restoring multiple pieces of our furniture over the past several years: - An antique oak sideboard which had water damage and a warped top. Oakley Restoration & Finishing llc removed the warp, cleaned all the brass handles and refinished the piece inside and out. - An antique table and chairs that matched the sideboard. Oakley Restoration & Finishing llc refinished the set and reglued the chairs. - A cedar chest which needed refinishing and trim replaced. - An antique oak chest of drawers, which had stains on the top and was missing a brass handle. Oakley Restoration & Finishing llc refinished it inside and out (including around the mirror) and cast a new ornate handle to match the others. - A side table that had damaged veneer. Oakley Restoration & Finishing llc reattached the veneer, matched and added new veneer, and refinished the piece. - A walnut table with stain and broken finial. Oakley Restoration & Finishing llc refinished the piece and turned a new finial to match the others on the table. - An oak table and chairs. Oakley Restoration & Finishing llc restenciled the table, reglued the chairs and refinished all the pieces. ALL pieces have returned beautifully done. We have enjoyed working with and learning from the Oakley Restoration & Finishing staff.

Quality work-chair repairs were undetectable. 50+ years old headboards refinished and look like new. Prices were fair and work was completed promptly. Definitely recommend and would use again.

From my initial communication with Bill Oakley, to the delivery of my refinished Heywood Wakefield chest of drawers, I am very impressed. The professionalism and expert quality of the work was outstanding. The chest was originally the blonde or platinum finish (typical for mid-1950’s furniture). Then, about 40 years ago, we painted it white. Now, I wanted the chest to match other cherry furniture I have. After it was delivered, my family can’t believe how nice it looks-better than it had ever looked, in the 68 years it was in our family. Thank you, Oakley Restoration & Finishing.
