I was at Retro Games Plus to sell some used video game equipment.  You are not going to get a lot of money for used items but they were fair and upfront.  Hopefully my used PS2 items will find new homes and bring joy a new generation.

Retro Games Plus has definitely become a regular place for me to find good cards. The staff are always helpful and kind and the atmosphere is great. They're always playing music usually anime themes and sometimes they'll even have a movie playing.

Stopped by after a rock climbing competition with my son. He asked a billion questions and everyone was super patient and friendly the whole time. He ended up getting a super cool Wii in amazing shape and can’t wait to use it at home. Definitely coming back to the location closer to us in Norwalk!! Thank you again to everyone there!!

I’ve come in A few times over the past year and each time I do it’s better and better. The staff are great. With my visit today Sarah was very friendly and helpful with picking out our little bits of nostalgia. Huge selection of games, consoles, and nick backs that are game related. I just want to say if I could rate this place 10 stars I would. It’s absolutely A gem of the retro gaming community. Amazing customer service! I had an issues with A console I bought from there (somewhat common with these old pieces of tech) and they took it back no hassle and handed me their test model to ensure I went home with A working console! I appreciate that A lot as they could have just given me store credit instead but instead went above and beyond. I will be going here for many more years to come!

Love this place! They always so kind, and helpful. They have classics for a decent price like the original Metal gear, and other vintage PC and console games. One of my favorite, if not the best vintage/collector stores in the area.

Sarah was the best. I am so glad this store exists. It is worth the drive to the Berlin Turnpike alone.

This place is the best!!! Sarah helped me out and is the nicest woman ever! I come here about every week and there’s always something new that’s worth checking out. If you are into ANYTHING retro, from records to VHS tapes to old video games you will find something! This place is definitely worth the drive from any distance.

Ryan at the counter is so knowledgeable about product in the store, very personable and if you have any question about stuff on display or consoles he’s more than happy to talk to you about it. I felt very comfortable and welcome in the shop and the quality, variety, and diversity of games and movie stuff they have here is worth the difficulty the parking lot poses.

If you love video games regardless of generation or origin they have SOMETHING for you.

Sarah has been the best in both professional and friendly way to me whenever I come in here to grab my games. She deserves this recognition and more. The store has most of the desired games and they are all in great condition. Great place to shop for games.

I came in without any knowledge of technology but needed something for my grandson to have fun while I had him over. Sarah was wonderful and her main obligation was to save me as much money as she was able and she did!!! She was patient, polite,  knowledgeable, and very efficient and helpful. I will definitely be making this my go to store for my gaming needs...

So I traded in a game system and they were extremely quick and efficient to make my trade I also learned a ton from the staff there.

I live in upstate NY & planned a trip in south Connecticut. & This is one of the reasons that motivated me to make that trip.
The store was fantastic & very clean/organized. Also, the staff was super friendly, attentive & definitely knew what she was doing. I'm planning on visiting the other 2 Connecticut locations at some point.

Build a retro games plus in mid east upstate NY! Near the border of Vermont. You'd get people from 2 states going to your store! :)

Checked this place out today and they have so many things! The prices are fair with many options for many different consoles. I would use this spot over any other game store any day!

I had a great experience here. Sarah was amazing and the store prices and trade in credits are very fair (considering the ever changing classic gaming market value). Her personality and enthusiasm are refreshing to see and I want to do business with her again! 10/10 will be back soon!!

I'm familiar with this place because the owner is featured in a lot of YouTube videos on the Pixel Game Squad YouTube channel. I've been enthusiastic to visit this place ever since I heard about it, this is my honest review.

Retro Games Plus is exactly how I imagined it would be. They have sections for retro t-shirts, VHS, legos, random assortments of action figures, as well as video games ranging from Atari all the way to the newest consoles. They also have a small Japanese import section as well.

I primarily collect NES and SNES games. I found their selection to be quite lacking in this area. They only had one small glass case of NES and SNES games, which I took of and which is included in this review, and separate sections for more common games which were all fairly reasonably priced. I was also greeted enthusiastically as soon as I walked into the place by the young man behind the counter.

I walked into this place truly hoping to buy something, but I left empty-handed. They just didn't have anything that I wanted which is a shame because they're filled from floor to ceiling with loads of merchandise. Most of it was just really common stuff though, so I'm assuming that nobody locally has traded in anything good and those that have visited before me bought up everything that was worth purchasing.

Therefore, I give this place Five Stars based on their setup and the merchandise that they offer, but I did end up leaving disappointed because there was nothing there that I wanted. Such a shame, but this is a great place to visit if you're interested in Retro Gaming.

It's a nice place for retro fans to browse. I think it's a cool place to explore. They have everything from video games to VHS tapes to Funko Pops. They also sell shirts mimicking nostalgia. They even have arcades that are blast from the past that patrons come to play classic games on. Arthur is a good guy.

They may not have many video games from some video game consoles to sell but they have everything. They do have cool GameCube controllers here. Movies are really pricey though. They don't have too many kids films but those shelves are filled with mainly feature films for everyone of all ages.

I like Retro Junk in Manchester better just because they have some really cool stuff that I think are eye appealing and are fun to browse there plus DVDs are somewhat cheaper there.

Absolutely amazing service, friendly staff everywhere! The game selection is usually very different. A couple of duds here and there, say, a bunch of sports games people trade in, but there's some hidden gems as well!

The consoles sold are in great condition, as is much of everything else.
Highly recommend for any collectors or enthusiasts. It would be five stars, but the store itself is sadly a bit small/cramped, which can't be helped.

I’ve been coming and buying for three years, and Sarah has always been a model employee. She has offered fantastic service, and has been great to talk to. To hear she has been FIRED after FIVE YEARS is outrageous. All because she said a word another customer didn’t like! She has been exemplary and firing her over ONE customer has shown the manager and boss have poor judgment and should be evaluated to see if they’re all there in the head. That customer needs to get over themselves, and Sarah deserves both her job back and a raise. She has been wonderful all the times I’ve bought from this store. I expect to hear that she’s been given a raise and a formal apology. Until that happens I will not return, and neither will the several people who also love Sarah and her work ethic. She is a great role model for the younger generation on what good work ethic looks like!

Store is cool for gaming systems but when It comes to tcg prices are totally overvalued. Seems like who ever is in charge of pricing inventory doesn’t know what they are doing. Marking cards as near mint or lighy played that are actually damaged. Selling base set cards and 1st edition prices. Be very vigilant while shopping there they tried selling me a damaged non holo Muk for 40$. Real value was 5$ I was insulted as if they are trying to take advantage of customers who doesn’t know about tcg they slowly drive away customers if they don’t reevaluate it.
