My daughter loves this store! Sooo many books! You can find anything and everything there. Nicely organized, clean, plenty parking. They always have awesome bargains with lots of choices.

By far my favorite book store to shop at! Stephanie cashed me out and was so incredibly helpful with plenty of tips to help save money i cannot thank her enough as I tend to buy a lot of books at once lol :) Everyone is incredibly nice at this store and I will always recommend them.

Fabulously helpfully staff. A large selection of journals and fun nicnacks, puzzles, callanders.
A very good selection of books. Neat, orderly, great magazine selection.  All in all, it is a wonderful place to spend a few hours between the stacks.

This is my favorite bookstore. I wish there were more in CT since it's an hour away, but I love it. The staff is very friendly. The discount section is always stocked with great books. The variety if items is great. There's games, decor, fandom merch, Manga. And then of course they have every genre of book and a great selection of each. Fantastic store!

Friendly staff make it much easier to navigate the stacks, love the bookstore atmosphere but the prices sting with Amazon sitting in your pocket. Got a great deal on a membership, make sure you ask what the impact would be to your order. We had about $80 of books and the promotions paid for the membership. Always well stocked, and they're often adding some used selections as well so you never know what you might find.

They have many books to choose from. Always have the newest releases. They have great items to go with books, like mugs and stationary. Those who work there are always friendly and helpful

Idk what this place is, but this is actually the real life location of the famous Backrooms level "The End" formerly a Border's Bookstore.  shoutout to the people that found it 👍

Absolutely love it here. They have a pretty good selection of most genres and an awesome manga section. The merch and toys are cool and some exclusive to BAM. There are lesser-known board and card games. There are many unique gifts for all ages, a nice kid's section, and stationary/journals. The downsides for me if I were to nitpick, are the prices are a bit high and there are a few genres like psychology that don't have quite as much of an in-store selection.

One of our favourite places to go. Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere and of course, great and diverse selection of books. Only down side is not a large horror section but that doesn't take away from the great store that it is. Check out is super easy and they have great email coupons

My family and I never heard of this store until today. It was amazing,  the smell was incredible. It was so refreshing to find a place like this. Amazing book selections for all ages. This is our new favorite place. I don't understand why I've never heard of this place and why aren't there more. We need one of these stores in Norwich. Absolutely wonderful experience.

My experience today was really exceptional and a staff member named Paul made the difference! I was seeking a specific book in hard cover and the online product search of the store showed only the paperback version. I called to ask about ordering it and he suggested that he look to see if it was actually at the store just in case the online search was incorrect. He went to physically check, found a copy, and held it at the desk for me. His extra effort is so appreciated and will definitely bring me back to the store.

Really disappointed they decided to get rid of the cafe. Obviously it must not have been profitable so I don’t blame them but it was 90% of the reason I would come.

I’d go with my partner pick out some books and sit in the cafe with a drink. Then we’d decide on what books we were buying and put the rest back where we got em.

Just today I realized that since they got rid of the cafe I haven’t been back. Still a great shop. Awesome staff, nice atmosphere, great selection of books and collectibles. Would still highly recommend.

It's nice to have a bookstore in the area.  One of my favorite parts of going with the kids is checking out the toys / apparel as they have some of the hard to find in store type items, such as Loungefly bags and TeeTrutle reversible plushes.

Wonderful store! Fantastic customer service and beautifully laid out store. Enjoy my visit here all the time and love discovering some new treasured gem of a book. The coffee at Joe Muggs is a treat and I especially love the interesting and unique finds when it comes to all the little book memorabilia up near the front of the store in the cash-out area - journals, etc. Keep up the great work for I will be returning quite frequently!👍✌😊

I love BAM it has great little gifts and collectibles along with tons of books.  We try to stop in anytime we see one while traveling. My only issue is for god sakes I love y’all but stop asking me if I want to sign up for free magazines 🤷🏻‍♀️

Great atmosphere and friendly staff make this a great place to sit and read, chat with friends, or even get homework done. Their pumpkin spice lattes are delicious! 10/10, would recommend.

good book selection, a little weird in their organization but easily over looked because the super helpful employees seem to understand the layout and were able to help me locate my book in a jiffy. also a great selection of collectibles and also one of the rare remaining places to buy actual music CD's.

This is a wonderful bookstore, one I visit every chance I have, mostly when I'm shopping, running errands or have appointments on the New London side of the Gold Star Bridge. I cannot leave there with at least one book, if not several.  It's the only place in this area where I can buy my fav UK mags.  Great bargains that multiply when you become a card member.  Friendly and helpful staff and the coffee shop?  Cookies and hot Apple cider in the winter 😋.  Love it!!

If you like books you're going to like BAM. Lots of books for sale and a great selection of manga, comics, and board games. There's a nice section for kids and kids books/games and a lot of other products that would appeal to anyone who is into some form of reading. The only thing I wish it had was some places to sit and sample the books or just chill and read which Barnes and Nobles have. But otherwise it's a great shop!

Buy the book online, then choose the free pick it up option. I went to buy a book  and it was 27 in the store, but when I bought it online it was 11 dollars cheaper!? That doesn't make sense to me. I wish they didn't get rid of the coffee shop, I still miss it. It's a good stop for new books though.

Decent selection of books, though some pricing is a little high. Hard to find a brick and mortar book store so they get extra props for still being around.

I like Barnes and noble a little better, but bam has a pretty good selection.

Books-A-Million a. Barnes& Noble light. Honestly the only place you can get manga and anime stuff anywhere around here. For that. I really enjoy going there. They have a wide wide wide wide selection. You can spend hours going through their entire anime among us election.

I've only been here once and it reminded me of a Barnes and Nobles. There was a really wide selection of every genre you could imagine: nonfiction, fiction, young adult, horror, humour, etc.

If I'm ever in the area I'd definitely stop in again even if it's just to kill time.

Super glad this exists in CT! I really enjoyed visiting. I do wish the used books were separated or even just on the shelf closest to the floor or something cause finding them was super challenging but glad they're offering this! Excited to visit again.

While their prices are a bit much on some things, they do excellent in other things. It's kinda a one stop shop for gadgets and books. Plus their coffeeshop is really excellent. They even sell those old naughty magazines which I thought had died in 1998

love this bookstore! the staff is very helpful in finding what you're looking for, or helping you order it online if they don't have it in stock. three place is always very clean, especially the bathrooms (i'll go out of my way to use these ones haha). great selection, plenty to look at. nice, calming vibe that makes you want to just hang out for hours.

Staff at Cafe very friendly and outgoing.  Drinks are usually spot on.  Store itself can feel a bit disorganized and hard to find what you are looking for.  Staff is helpful and will assist as best as possible,  Manga boooks, and items and graphic novel book area tend to be the most disorganized because of the popularity of items and the influx of stuff to keep up with demand.  Piles of books during holiday season.  Easier to shop earlier here before its crazy or shop early through online means.

Awesome selection and atmosphere. The cashiers suck though. The constant badgering to sign up for a membership is obnoxious. Let me pay for stuff without 5 minutes of pushing me to sign up.

Staff are nice but the store is overpriced,one book I saw there was $30 and saw the same book at BJ's for $17.99 that's a big price difference,will not go back there

Wide selection and a nice atmosphere/store. Employees were helpful. It loses two stars because when cashing out they try to get you to sign up for a magazine subscription without telling you that after the first two free ones you will get charged. This detail is only left in small print. Be careful when checking out.

As much as I like this store, I was disappointed with the new release section. I went into the store at opening on a release day for a book and they didn't have the book out nor did they have the Books A Million edition in stock. 2 weeks later and they have yet to get it in stock. I want to love this store, but it doesn't seem like they are given proper information when it comes to highly anticipated book releases.

Pretty good bookstore. They have good sale prices. More than books,  they sell lots of gift items also. They also have a coffee shop with free WiFi. Coffee, drinks and snacks with comfortable chairs.

Their BAM gift cards can be used in the bookstore as well as the coffee shop.

As book stores slowly convert from just books to books, music, toys, and etc, this place has a wide variety of items.

2nd Take: During a recent visit, I discovered they they have a section of signed books.

Looked for Robert e Howard's Conan there isn't a single copy of anything from Howard not conan. Not Solomon Kane not even bran ma k mourn. Also a single book from Michael Moorcock anything from either of the authors mentioned is better than the childish works of j.r.r.tolkein

Way overpriced. Most of the books are kitschy sales catalogue feel. Feels more like a hobby store than a book store. They also removed the coffee area where you could sit and look at books.

Nobody approached me for help. No way to look up specific books to see if they have them in store or online without using my phone. Really crowded in the store, there are tables everywhere and merchandise is super expensive. They do have unique toys though I have never seen.

Do not recommend this company will cancel your order as they are simply jus t getting interest free loan money from us because they have 0 intent to fulfill the order and do not actually have any product, they should be renamed to cancel-a-million or scam-a-million instead more of a fitting name

I know what twilight is i asked to pre order and  you told me what it is I know what it is I told you date I told you to pre order listen for f sake.  And yes twilight is a book

They could not process a book return because their credit card server was down. However, the server was not down to accept credit card purchases. How does this make sense? I’ll shop from Amazon from now on.

This place was like a big square box with books. Book stores used to have atmosphere. The atmosphere here was get your book and leave. There is no place to sit down. Part of the store said..... I used to be a coffee shop.... but.... No longer. It looked like someone intentionally decided to do everything possible to politely discourage lingering. I think I'll just go to the library next time.

So they basically lied on their website about when the book "There's Treasure Inside" would be received and shipped to consumers. Probably so everyone would order it from their company over others who were honest about the length of time it would take to receive it. Pretty gross Christmas trick you played on everyone. Shame on you.

Preordered a limited edition figure and waited two months before seeing they canceled my order, and supports reasoning for canceling was "The company over sold the item" HOW is that MY problem??? I paid for it!! PREPAID two months ahead!!! Support did NOTHING, and now I have to buy a scalped figure on ebay because this company SUCKS

I bought 3 boxes of basketball cards , BUYER BEWARE.  2 BOXES CAME WITH FACTORY PANNI PLASTIC GONE . Those two boxes had nothing of substance.  I firmly believe someone there is opening factory sealed plastic and weighing the packs.  Absolutely disgusting practice.

I will never shop at this store again.

When making my purchase, I refused the paid subscription sign up. After my card was already swiped for my books, I was offered a “free” magazine subscription. They made sure to keep the flyer in hand so I couldn’t read any details in the moment. I felt like it was a scam but the sales person was pushy so I figured I could go home and cancel it.

NOTHING was explained and they actually tried to sign me up for three “free” magazines. They said that after 2 months I would get a postcard in the mail asking if I would like to renew it. This is a flat out lie. When I got to my car I read the fine print and saw that it will auto renew for $54 after my trial. I’ve tried calling the magazine company and they’re unable to cancel at this time.

I’m disgusted by this predatory practice and you could not pay me to shop here. I’m tempted to go back and return the books I bought today but I refuse to even step foot in this place again, who knows what other scams await me.

Not one to complain but went in to buy a book as a gift.  Online price (booksamillion.com) had it at $28.  Price in store is $40. Told they are different systems.  I asked if I ordered online for store pickup would it be $28. Decided to try ordering just to test and turns out I would have gotten the lower price.  Just a bad way to run a business.
