Drove up north from Bonita Springs to go antiquing for the day. After being disappointed that another store in downtown Sarasota was marked open by Google and upon arrival was not only closed but out of business, we decided to try another "Antique Shops Near Me Search" and found Carriage House -- we called first to see if they were open and a delightful man answered and informed us he was. The Apple Map directions were kind of goofy, looping us thru residential areas but then we noticed we were going in the back way, away from the main drag. The store front is adorable, converted Old Florida home into a shop in the middle of a neighborhood but also right on a main road. He was so kind, so helpful. 29 years he said he's been there & he's in-house 5 days a week if not more and has 525 vendors. I was AMAZED at his organization and general knowledge of his merchandise. When I found what I was looking for and took them to the front, I continued to walk-thru and he approached me and said, "I had missed one," and directed me to the other vendor that had an item of the same brand that I had already decided to purchase. Items are priced to sell, spent about an 1 1/2 there and around $90 on 8 items. Loved everything about it. We will absolutely take the ride back up there. Can't recommend enough.

What a fabulous treasure trove!! Room after room of fantastic finds. You definitely can't (and shouldn't) move quickly through this assemblage of goodies. Definitely our #1 pick from all the antique, resale, thrift shops we found while on our vacation. The staff is attentive, helpful, and friendly!
