I inherited a 700+ coin collection a couple years ago that I finally got around to cataloguing for sale so I took a few sample coins - a mix of potentially valuable and common ones - to several coin shops in the north-central Florida area to see which one would get my business, and D & R won based on the overall amount he was willing to pay for my sample coins as well as how carefully he evaluated them, despite that he is 75 miles away. He handles large collections like mine before normal business hours which is both more secure (esp. since he open carries, which is smart given his business) and allows him to work without interruptions. He carefully evaluated all of my coins, spending the most time on those that were potentially more valuable, and though that didn't always translate into him paying the most money for each coin in the collection, he did pay the most in total, especially helped by the rate paid for "junk" 90% silver coins (22x face value vs 19x at the next closest competitor and 16x at the lowest). Finally, I decided to take part of my payment as a 1 oz. gold coin - a far more easy to handle investment than 700+ coins in musty old books - and he price-matches SD Bullion by default, so excellent pricing if you are buying there as well.

Incredibly fair and honest. Weighs and tests everything in plain view, now running off to a back room for a simple acid test. I took silver and gold scrap to multiple gold buyers/pawn shops in the area and got absurd offers, here I was given a reasonable offer according to market rates. Will absolutely return.
