We have bought a number of pieces here and will continue to. They have a wide assortment of furniture and decor, both new and used. We almost always find what we're looking for (and often more). Staff is helpful and friendly and prices are reasonable.

Stopped in while I was out and about running errands just to see what this store had. It has a beautiful layout and mostly furniture. If you are looking to decorate your home this is the place to go.

Pelicans and Flamingos is a  fun place to take one's time to browse through all the spaces that are full of new and consigned items. They were very helpful in helping me coordinate the pieces I liked for my new home. This photo is of my new lamp and end table!

Absolutely adorable store with a great selection of new and used furniture which are all beautiful. Love the cute decor and how they make the building so fun to just walk around and look at. The staff was also super friendly. Will definately be back!!

The little extra things around the store (i.e., signs, ornaments, tabletop decor, etc.) are very "Florida" and different than you find at other places!

Great selection of coastal furniture. Store is loaded with beautiful furniture and accessories. Prices are in line with custom made to order fabrics and designs.

Always a fun place to find good casual furniture,  one of a kind decorations.  The staff is very friendly and helpful. Purchased a rug there and it arrived quicker than the two weeks expected.

We had just purchased our house in Venice FL and after several days of looking for furniture for the theme we wanted we found the Pelicans and Flamingos store.  The staff there are amazingly friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The furniture and accessories are beautiful, well made, and priced reasonably. We shopped all over the area and ended up purchasing a majority of our furniture here.  I highly recommend checking the store out.

My favorite furniture consignment store. Nice pieces, no junk. The staff is friendly but not pushy. They leave you alone to browse at your leisure. It's a bit of a treasure trove, and you never know what you'll find!

Pelican Cottage has a huge diverse selection of all the goodies you'll ever need. The prices are fair and they do a great job selling your furniture. The staff is highly qualified and very helpful! You can rest assure if you buy or sell at pelican cottage, you've made the right choice!

Moved here at the end of October. Have been in dozens of furniture reconsignment stores since.  Pelican Cottage is a fun place to shop!  The staff has learned the fine art of being welcoming and helpful while giving a customer time and space.  Artfully arranged, whimsical at times, quality items fairly priced.  Christmas came early when we found exactly what we had been looking for!

Pelicans and Flamingos was a great store to find that unique and unusual item for your home. They had many beautiful pieces of art and furniture that was very tropical and Floridian. My only issue was with the very high prices of most everything there.

Some used furniture but mostly a wide selection of tropical furniture perfect for Florida homes. Definitely recommended.

There are tons of really cool stuff! However, it was a little too rich for my taste, but it was generally priced fair.

Very cool place with many interesting pieces of furniture and accessories. It is bigger on the inside than you would expect and always fun to come in.

A lot of "beachy" furniture both new & consignment.  The prices, I believe, on the consignment pieces are a little high although in " like new" condition.  Some little nesting tables that were consignment were $150.  I didn't see any lamps under $100.  But the items are all nice.

This place is huge and has some very adorable items. I just can't believe the amount of inventory how clean everything is and while it's not a bargain hunters Paradise you can find something special here

We do have some dated items that's been passed over. we don't throw them out instead we offer to paint, shabby chic, or what we call beach them up upon request. We have an array of new furnishings through out the store. Hopefully you'll have a better visit next time. thank you for stopping in.

Sorry to hear you didn't find what you were looking for on that day. Prices are marked on all items yes, but no reasonable offer refused.

Very much a consignment store, but they have a good amount of items that are not consignment. The prices are high for what is offered. They do have some niche items that would go great in my grandmother's home. Some gems under consignment but nothing that jumped out at me. It may be good to stop in every month or so to check if anything new was added to the floor.

Some amazingly cool stuff, but every single thing I wanted to buy was a store owned piece that was "not for sale" . (Guy who ran place said "everybody says that".)
Stuff that was actually for sale was mostly typical "looks like cottage" furniture. Probably good to furnish cottage themed rentals on a budget that look like every other Florida rental.

The bed frame being left off the delivery was only because one was never purchased on your receipt. When this come to our attention we tried to fix it.  All delivery sheets are written up from customers handwritten receipts. It was an honest mistake. We tried to fix the misunderstanding by giving you a bed frame at no cost. We would have gotten you another bed frame. If we would have known the bed frame wasn't as you wanted.  We are a small business with few employees, in a very large building. We may miss a call coming in but we do try and call every left message back within a day. We do hope your enjoying all the many other purchases you chose from our store. Our experience at this cool store started out with a bang with friendly and attentive service. We were furnishing two bedrooms and a dining room and looking for assorted accessories. We also bought a couple of items they said they could custom paint. We spent $7500.00 in total. They provided a referral for delivery which didn’t work out but they stepped up and referred someone else. On delivery day there was a queen bed frame missing. We called and asked for it to be dropped off - no reply. After 7 more attempts (phone, text and messenger) my husband left a message telling them he was coming to pick up the bed frame in 90 minutes. Miraculously they responded saying it would be ready. When he got home and unpacked it, it was 3 ancient pieces of rusted and flaking metal rails that would not assemble into a frame. We had to purchase a new one. The custom painted bench is peeling and chipping. We aren’t going to bother wasting our time trying to get that resolved. Too bad. We won’t shop there again even though it’s a super cute store. There goes one good customer, and we certainly won’t refer our friends - there goes a handful more.

Hi, sorry your experience wasn't as expected. We strive to have lots of coastal colorful pieces for everyone to choose from. Any of our vintage pieces we have in the store can be painted or distressed by our artesian here at pelicans and flamingos to make it exactly what a customer wants, and to meet everyone's pocketbook. After hurricane Ian we had lots of donated pieces and took in some that yes are a little dated, hoping to help the ones in need. We were able to help many refurnish their homes by painting these pieces. Those pieces are weeding out and new coming in daily! With all the new coastal home furnishing coming in and almost 6,000 consignors, items change daily here at pelicans and flamingos. We hope you give us another chance. I loved this place when I first and to it 3 years ago….everything was unique and coastal….all furniture was like new….but now it looks like my grandmas furniture:(

In what world are these prices “consignment “ prices! End tables $250. A child’s rocking chair $150.  Don’t bother if you are looking for good bargains. Some beautiful things very very overpriced.

Pelican Cottage combined with their sister store Flamingos. This place has really lost sight of what it all about. The new manager has her fingers in everything and is very overbearing and its plain the employees seem to have lost their enthusiasm. They have always been expensive but they seem to be trying to make the mortgage with each sale.  The owners are nice but, I think they have seen better days.

This place is the worst place I've ever encounterd! The owner is not customer oriented at all. They do not follow through on anything that they promise! They need not reply to this review because all they can deliver to me is nothing but word salad! Buyers beware, don't waste your time or money. You can do better at Goodwill!!!

Never received our monies for consigned goods in 6 month's of requests Requests after request.

Cute shop but I would never use them to sell my items again!!! My experience was:  little communication, everything is done without computer, very unorganized and no record received of what item was actually sold for.  50/50 doesn’t exist on consignment as advertised.  Enter with caution

Very disappointed in their customer service. They DO NOT return phone calls. We ordered and prepaid furniture in December 2021 that was scheduled for delivery in May 2022. We had to stop by and find out status of our order. It is now 8/29/22 and no one has called us back.

Very poor experience - my family purchased multiple outdoor seating pieces from this store. Within ~12 hours (close to open), and before any delivery arrangements were made, they called to ask if they could modify the order to exclude some items that wouldn't fit in their intended space. After calling the store they were informed that 1) all sales were strictly final and 2) there was a mistake in their order pricing and that they needed to pay for an additional chair that they understood to be part of a pair.

I acknowledge there were issues by each side here - 1) family shouldn't have made the purchase without knowing exactly what would fit the space and 2) business approaching the situation so rigid given they also made a mistake on the purchase.

However, the worst part of the experience is what followed. In discussing the situation directly with the owner, the owner suggested they would withhold money from the employee that made the mistake (who we were told was new) to offset any store loses in the situation and to "teach the employee a lesson". It is inexcusable to treat an employee that way and it speaks volumes to their general lack of empathy.

This was one of my favorite places. Was in there today, not one person said hello. Only saw 2 employees who guess were not interested in a customer being in the store. Been in there many times when Tish was working, she is no longer there and neither is the customer service! Sad to see this as I like to purchase local.

This place is the worst. I tried reaching the owner to consign a beautiful piece of reupholstered white wicker furniture in a beautiful turquoise stripe and was rejected. This was after calling their store multiple times. This makes sense because many times I have seen nothing but junk there
