Mr. Fred Elliot, arrived at his Saturday appointment on time . He was personable and friendly, but professional. Almost immediately I knew I was in for an interesting and entertaining meeting. He has been in the antiques business for many many years and is a wealth of knowledge and wisdom. As a history buff, I was fascinated with the stories he shared as he explained the ins and outs of selling and buying. He did not rush, was happy to explain and answer questions. Fred is passionate about his “work” . The dreaded day for selling one my treasures turned out to be a joy. When he left with my antique, I did not shed a single tear and was comfortable knowing that it was in caring hands. I knew I had made the correct decision to call him. Thank you, Fred for spending your Saturday in such a meaningful, thoughtful, warm and fair manner. I am an appreciative fan.

Fred was the consummate professional: knowledgeable, prompt and pleasant, he made my purchase pleasant, not just efficient and productive. His knowledge of antiques is encyclopedic and you can trust him to be fair and reasonable in his dealings. Highly recommend!

Dealing with a recent death in the family Fred and his wife Nancy worked with our schedule and came to the property and spent the time explaining everything to us. They broke down current market valuation of items and identified items that would work for them and were very fair in pricing. Further, left us with more knowledge on items they did not take off our hands along with approximate valuation and optional means to sell. They are very knowledgeable and a joy to be around both in a professional aspect as well as personally. Nancy took the time to sit with my wife just to talk and get to know her and Fred did the same with me and shared many personal experiences. I would highly recommend them when you have an estate to dispose of or even just an item you arent sure of. Great experience!!!!

I had the pleasure of speaking with Fred, of New England Antiques of Punta Gorda. While I didn’t get an appraisal, he gave me something far better….his advice. He was able to explain, and help me realize what I needed to do with the piece I was calling about. If I ever really do need an appraisal, they will be the first place I call. Thank you Fred.

Wealth of knowledge is what Mr. Elliott possesses and he is willing to share it. He and Nancy (Mrs. Elliott?) are honest, straightforward, thorough, and transparent with their assessment. Mr. Elliott was generous with his time and expertise and shed light on our unanswered question of generations. Thanks to him, we are better informed and educated.
