Customers praise the quality of the restoration work done at Antique Workshop. This master wood worker re-glued and toned down the high gloss someone had put on a 200-year-old chair. Wonderful work. They also did a wonderful job repairing the Danish cord seat on a mid-century bench. The work is top-notch.
The owner of Antique Workshop is described as a quiet, busy person who is not looking to impress but is clearly skilled in his craft. He's an interesting person and talented.
The store seems to have a loyal local following. Small store, large finds. Best kept secret. Lots of cool stuff, a bit pricey, and the owner didn't seem to like talking much, but there is really cool stuff in there.
Overall, Antique Workshop in Vero Beach, Florida appears to be a unique and specialized antique store focused on the restoration and preservation of vintage furniture and collectibles, offering customers a "treasure hunt" experience and high-quality craftsmanship.

Antique Workshop is located in an area off of Dixie Hwy that has a number of antique, thrift, and consignment stores in Vero Beach. Next to the Antique Workshop is am estate resale store and a consignment clothing boutique. There is some parking in front of the building but also in a gravel lot on the side. The Antique Workshop has several rooms of furniture, home goods, books, collectibles, records, and more. Going through this store feels like a treasure hunt. Look closely because there are surprising finds tucked into every nook and corner. The reason this store is called the Antique Workshop is because there is a restoration workshop in the back of the store. For over thirty years they have been refinishing, reupholstering, repairing, painting, rewickering, and caning customers furniture pieces. The older pieces of furniture have the best quality and workmanship. I love that there is a place that can give them new life instead of having these historic gems end up in the landfill.

This master wood worker re-glued and toned down the high gloss someone had put on a 200 yr old chair. Wonderful work. His shop is more workshop than antique store but that was fine with me. I liked looking through the place and enjoyed my interaction with the owner. Quiet, busy with his work, no long conversations, not looking to impress: I liked him. I would recommend him to anyone looking to have antiques refurbished. He's an interesting person and talented.

The space is small and very dark. It was also very cluttered with minimal space to move in. The shop owners were very nice and even gave my nephew a free post card which was sweet. But with the darkness and everything being so cluttered together, it made for a less than pleasant shopping experience and we left quite quickly.
