Nice vintage and new vibes throughout the store with the items they sell. You can also bring items in to see if they’ll accept them and buy from you. They sell graphic tees as well !

I went to 2nd and Charles twice this week and I was helped my an amazing book seller (I think she said her name was Sophie). I live abroad so I wanted to get a couple of good reads while I'm in town and she was very helpful and ready and happy with recommendations. 5 stars all around.

My wife and I went in to find a copy of Onyx Rising for my wife's collection. She found one, and as we went to check out, Brittney (hope it spelled that right) mentioned they had a limited edition copy. To say my wife lit up would be an understatement, and then Brittney almost ran to get that copy for my wife! She did not have to mention anything, but that small gesture made my wife's entire day. Happy tears were shed. Thank you Brittney!

The employees make this a great place to go when you're looking for a good book. They are always so friendly, kind, and will help you in any way they can. I'm an avid bookworm so I visit often.

This one is by far my favorite one. It's huge. Has a really good selection of rare items.

Friendly staff, great selection of used games, from the old stuff, all the way to the new stuff, comics, books, albums, CDs, DVDs. They repair electronics, you can sell and trade books, old games and systems. Just a great store.

I love going here whenever I visit my family. I purchased some good books, and my friend whom I brought with also purchased something. It was her first time there. Great fun.

My family and I loved this store, it felt like a mix between a used video game store and a Barnes & Noble. Had a nice music section. Will definitely come back.

This is my all-time favorite store to shop at! The staff is friendly and attentive and the store itself is welcoming and well-organized. I love that I’m able to find a vast array of books and other goodies every time I make a trip out. If you’re searching for a place to find the perfect gift for the holidays, 2nd and Charles would be my first recommendation.

If you're looking for game consoles, manga, collectables, books, and comics, this is the place to go! Sometimes you will have to really dig to find what you're looking for, but they have everything here. They also get new things in stock all the time, so sometimes you will stumble across some great things when you least expect it. Will always enjoy coming here.

I love books and you can find some nice used gems here if you really look. Of course some books are new too, they have a VERY GOOD journal/diary/planner section! I wish I would have seen their journal selection before I got one from Walmart! But when this one fills up I know where to get my next one.

Everything from books to retro games and systems. Found the original Monopoly and Twister, like older than me, for dirt cheap. The service was awesome. The attendants are real gamers with plenty of knowledge about everything they are selling. CDs, Vinyl Records, record players, and so much more. I even found a Gameboy. My geek side is fulfilled. I love this place.

I've visited this store frequently and I love the wide variety they offer! They have books, games, toys, electronics including some retro games and systems such as nintendo 64s and etc, comics, movies, and a lot of other stuff. The best thing is that it's all mostly very cheap. The only down side is that there is not a way to check beforehand through their website if you are looking for something specific like a particular book but other than that, this is one of my favorite stores in the area because they have so much to offer at great prices!

My Husband and I LOVE this place!! We visited the store the other day looking to get 6 of our May Birthday friends gifts. We were able to find everything that we needed & for a total price of around $200. We were super happy with all of what we got!! It was a GREAT bang for our buck!!

This is my first time here and my first stop was the sidewalk sale. I bought lots of stuff for my kids and barely paid anything for it! Love the vinyl record selection inside!! They have just about anything. This will definitely be one of my "go-to" places for gifts. My husband even seemed impressed!

Wow! This store's been around for 4 whole years and I finally found the time to go in! Wooorth iiiit! I got Animal Crossing: New Horizons for a nice $40! There were even some other switch games, including Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for up to half-off their original price! I can't wait to sell some of my older games here! Definitely worth a stop!

I love the set up and how it's not just limited to books. But also have games and gadgets. Very kid friendly. And nice relaxing atmosphere. Friendly staff. Only thing is some things are a bit pricey but I did like how they had a pretty decent sale on some items.

This is an amazing store!  It's clean and straight. I was surprised  to see how much merchandise. Books for adults, for children 2 to teens. Music cds, Albums, and record players (that's on my list) l got rid of mine. They have movies, all kinds of games, video games, board games. 2 big tvs and benches, people were playing games on them. I thought that was really nice. It is Monday so there weren't  many people working, and one cashier. She was pleasant and helpful. Lots of things at the checkout to look at, I saw guitars hanging on the wall for sell. There is just too much to  tell about. I encourage  you to go in, you might  find lots of things you like, I did.

My partner and I always love coming here! Every employee that we’ve met has always been so nice. We ended up finding a not-so-nice employee this time. To the employee who dressed as Edward Scissorhands, I hope your day gets better. I have never had someone give me such a stone cold expression while receiving a compliment and then proceed to ignoring me. Leaving with my feelings hurt a little today lol

Very nostalgic and cool atmosphere. My kids love this place for all the toys and cool things and their books are fairly priced. Great place for Christmas present ideas.

This store is very reminiscent of a Barns-N-Noble, only with car more (and awesome) novelty items. A geek's paradise. Even if you're not in the market for novelty knick knacks this place is still really fun to just peruse through when you're trying to kill some time.

This store is a lot of fun, but my biggest issue is the fact that SO MANY items don't have prices on them.  I felt bad asking for so many price checks, but I can't just buy without knowing how much I'm spending.  I paid in cash, and the cashier didn't give me my change, so I had to wait a further five minutes (longer than my initial transaction took) for them to open the cash drawer and give me my change.

They took all of the kids books (close to if not 100) and a large Barbie/doll house. Only received $19.36, the in store credit would have been close to double that amount. The process is easy, but if you don’t plan on shopping there after selling stuff, you don’t get much of a return. The store itself is nice and clean, and the employees were very nice.

Great place to find all kinds of books! They're prices are a good bit higher than a few years ago, but that's understandable. Game and DVD selection isn't what it used to be.

Absolutely love this store! A great place to find manga, books new & used, as well as other media. I was able to find new and used versions of on going book series I could not find online and in major stores.
Be forewarned warned, This store is Huge! Prepare yourself to spend a few hours giddy with excitement as you venture through & find all the things other major retailers no longer carry. The staff were extremely nice, polite, & helpful. All it needs is a coffee shop next to it or in it & this will be the perfect place to spend a lazy day off.

A well kept and fun game shop. They have a pretty wide selection of everything from comics, video games, board games, game,  consoles, books, music (even vinyl and instruments) and miscellaneous hobby stuff.
The buy back option is pretty well run but they can get quite busy. Best to always call ahead to find out exactly what you might need to bring for trade in, unless it's simple like books.

I've only been here a couple of times. I really like the atmosphere. And they're selection of various types of items is pretty awesome. We came here to find some Doctor Who stuff and when other places failed to deliver, 2nd & Charles came to the rescue. Some of the prices on used items is a little high, but they obviously need to turn a profit. Overall, this place offers some options for electronics, books, games and miscellaneous items that other retailers wouldn't have.

2nd & Charles, is not only a book store, where you can find quality books and D.C comic magazines, at a great price!  They have Sci-fi, children books, old and new,.  They have great customer service, from the time you walk in.

Store is clean and orderly, prices are kind of ridiculous.

I wish they had chairs to sit in to be comfortable. My husband is an Army Vet and needed to sit down. We wasn't able to stay long because of not having a place to sit. There was a few things we found a bit overly pricey but we just put it back on the shelf where we found it. The store bathroom was absolutely disgusting. Someone put paper towels in the toilet even though there was a sign saying to please not do that. I tried finding someone to let them know but everyone kinda walked away when we approached them so we couldn't let them know.

I give this 3 stars because it is a pretty good store with cool stuff. The reason I give it only 3 stars is that I gathered up a lot of tpb and hardcover novels, a couple of graded comics and some books to get some store credit. They had a game that I wanted. The things that I had to trade were valued over $1,500. Not my estimate, fair market value. I waited two hours to be offered $86 in store credit. They want max dollar on their used stuff, but will offer 5.7% on trade in. Don't consider trading, they just want you to give them your stuff.

Awesome store . Not as awesome to sell too. They barely offered 3 dollars for stacks of games all in mint condition. Stacks of books only offered 2 dollars. They give more if you do store credit but won't offer the same in cash. Idk really sucked. But again the store is cool.

I love 2nd & Charles. However, pay attention when you shop at this location. This is the second year I've shopped after the holiday season, and I paid close attention this time. Several times, they will tell you that their registers can not print receipts. Meanwhile, while you accept these terms and don't pay attention, you're being charged full price or the wrong price for your items. None of my 75% off items were honored, and two items that were marked $3.99 were charged $12.99. It happened again with other items. Pay close attention. I had a large order and it's easy to miss! They have a security guard at the door. Meanwhile, I'm wondering who the crooks are.

Perhaps your mileage at this store varies depending on your interests, but everything I look at here is wildly overpriced for pre-owned items I know they paid next to nothing for. I saw a noodle stopper figure, marked used on the sticker, for $24.99, and I have seen this same figure at B&N for $25. If I’m paying MSRP for these things, I may as well just get them new. Used books are also MSRP or maybe $2-3 less. I am only adding a second star because the employees have always been friendly to me and the store appears clean. Otherwise, they pay traders extremely poorly only to turn around and charge customers full price for pre-owned items.

This store needs to do what’s right and return stolen merchandise to the owner. Whatever money they have in the stolen merch is a drop in the bucket for a corporation and loses can be written off. It is morally and ethically wrong to not do so. Furthermore receipt of stolen goods is a crime. It should never have come to this point. Really bad look for a company.
