One special piece or preserving an entire collection, Action Figure Authority (AFA) continues to provide an incredible & trusted service for protecting/grading my most prized collectibles. As a 25 year collector of G1 sealed Transformers, I remember collecting pre-AFA, and it sure was fun, but of course, everything was worth a whole lot less back then. Today and for the past 6 years, I’ve realized an all-new joy in collecting while rebuilding and preserving what I once had, with great thanks to AFA. I still love all the toys just the same, but AFA grading & preservation just adds to the fun as I strive for higher grades & greater values while enjoying beautifully preserved pieces in the collection. Hundreds of graded Transformers later, I couldn’t be more thrilled with the collection that AFA has helped me create, and I can’t wait to have them preserve countless more for years to come. Thank you AFA, and to the rest of you collectors out there. Star Wars, GIJoe, Video Games & so on. I’m a huge fan, and if you want an outstanding product with incredible service, AFA has you covered. Thanks again, AFA! You’re the best!

Good customer service communication but not pleased with their website or ambiguous grading services. Submitted an open item on the qualified grading scale, and was refused service as item was not factory new contents. Yes, that's why I submitted it as an open item. Customer service was very good in answering my questions, but the company's position that they do not grade used items, but will grade open items, is a gray area that needs clarification. Had they taken the time to be more clear on their website, or just state "we do not grade open items" I would not have bothered to submit. Instead I'm out grading fees for no services rendered. If you have a new item, I'm certain they are great. If you have a used item, they are happy to take grading fees, and explain after the fact that they will not grade it. Lesson learned.

Owner Response

Hello, we are sorry to hear about your experience and the item being refused from grading. We do have stated under the Qualified scale the following information: "For opened packaged toy items with unused contents". We apologize if that was not clear enough and we will be happy to further assist you via email if you have any questions or concerns.

After they received my item , it was hard to get any updates and it took almost seven months . They charged me for a custom case and then refused my item and refused to send me the difference for the custom case. I'm shipping mine to the UK , for now on . Never had problems yet.

My action figure was sent to this company in early July 2022, after several emails that spanned a time period into October 2022, I was told it was in queue. I have 17 emails to them and it still hasn't been graded. I received an email today and said it was in queue. 7 months later and no solid answer from them. I will never do business with this place again.
