Amazing store and alot of options. I love walking through the store finding new books to read. However selling my books I wouldn’t because I sold a brand new book i purchased from Barnes and nobles a few months ago and I finished it and decided to sell the book and another book here. And they only offered $1.50

Always great to check out their books and unique resell and vintage items.

I come here for books. I always find something here and at a great price too. They sell new & used books. Some used books look brand new & others look like they were read a lot. Plus they have a variety of other things, funko pops, vinyls, stuff animals, & game council accerories, & games.

I disliked this place when I came here because they were rude and seemed to not want to help me. However the second time I came here the customer service manager seemed very pleasant. He apologized for them not helping me and seemed to care about any issues I had. His name is Ngozi and he is a good chill guy to deal with. There is another sales rep named Rowyn she will be more than happy to help you out just ask for her. These two are the only reason I will be back to this location. Now if we could just stop the rampant theft everything will be great!! Thanks you two keep up the good work!!

It’s amazing!! The amount of stuff you can find is great. And WHAT!!1?!1?1 THEY HAVE DELUXE VERSIONS OF CERTAIN MANGAS?? Yeah, i’m never leaving that place alone.

I always enjoy this place! Such a variety of books,comics, vinyl records, and collectibles to search through. I could honestly spend all day in here. The employees at this location were nice and helpful.

Really wonderful location. I was extremely impressed by their vinyl collection, comic book collection, used game selection etc ....but what was the coolest part of this store was the rare book collections. Seeing a first edition chronicals of Narnia was really cool! It was a very cool experience today!

This is the better OTP location! Much cleaner and not as picked over and not as focused on cheap merch garbage. I spent a whole afternoon here and got 14 books for $75 and all were good quality and well priced.

I wish they had more horror and definitely a larger sci-fi fantasy but they had everything well organized. Yay!

Staff at this location are super friendly and accommodating! I live near the Kennesaw location, so it's refreshing to stop by and see what other Collectibles they might be stashing here. It's always worth the time to stop in and see if anything catches your eye.

This is a really cute 2nd bookstore. It's on the small side but its very well laid out so the space that's there has loads of books! There's plenty of entertainment and collectibles if that's what you're looking for and I thoroughly enjoyed looking through their collectable/rare editions!
The minus here is for their Mystery and Horror sections: Mystery is incredibly small and their Horror section is mostly decorative items and a handful of new novels.
Other than those tiny issues (which are a matter of personal taste) I give this baby  4.5⭐ and highly recommend you drop in and start building up your bookshelves today!

This place is awesome! So much great stuff. It's not just a bookstore. It has all kinds of great stuff - movies, video games, accessories, music, clothing, and of course books, and still more than I mentioned. I highly recommend visiting this store.

Sold some books here the other day. Didn't get much for them, but the staff made it an easy process and stayed in communication with me about the status of me selling order.

2nd & Charles is sort of like Barnes & Nobles on ‘steroids’.

It’s a place welcome for all and you can buy and sell items that are old, used and new; from books, Vinyl, CDs, Consoles, video games going far back for Atari, Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Genesis, etc; plushies, toys, and a lot more.

Why take my word for it, go check it out for yourself :-)

We love this new store in our neighborhood! We already enjoyed going to Books-a-million and found out this second hand store was owned by Books-a-million! Great deals to be found. We also sold them our used books. It felt great to get them out of boxes and into other reader's hands!

Such a cool store! I love that it has everything from vinyl & Cd's to used books & collectibles. Also a great place for gifts! It's like if you merged Half Priced Books with an old Media Play Store!  Heaven...

Love this store! They have some really good deals on books, a small selection of rarer items & signed editions, a nice record collection; plus they have a ton of novelty items like coffee cups, small decor, toys, and t-shirts.

I love these stores & I'm so glad they opened one closer to me. They always have a wide selection of pop culture items, books and movies. Very fun to go.

Decent used bookstore as far as variety is concerned but their prices on used books are not what I would call a bargain. And someone really needs to take a look at how they price comic books because there are a ton of books that would be found in dollar bins at comic book stores across the country they have priced at over 4 times that.

Cool book and album prices. But calendars were retail can get on Amazon cheaper.

Nice place, you’ll find some cool 2nd hand stuff, books, games…etc.
However, they seriously need to revisit some prices especially for the gaming consoles and the games themselves!

The prices are matching to new prices of the consoles in some cases, or way higher than other places where you could get used consoles for a lot cheaper. A lot of the games’ prices are the same or in some cases double the price on amazon!

I like to shop in a local store rather than just order from amazon, ebay…etc. But the prices aren’t helping, especially for preowned stuff.

Came here for my grandson and I can see why it might have a very loyal following since it carries collectibles, toys, books, comics, figures, and swag merch like branded backpacks and souvenirs.  Kind of a superstore for D&D/fantasy, Funko, Comics, manga etc

Love this store, always tons of second hand books, graphic novels and vinyl records to browse through. I can easily spend hours in here and still not see it all.

The used stuff is sometimes priced too aggressively but you can also find some good deals every once in awhile.

They also have some really cool rare/collectors item stuff here as well.

This store is FUN! Lots more than "just books"-- sports memorabilia, musical instruments, comic books, video games, and more. With all of that, I was surprised there were no greeting cards. Kinda strange. Lots of new and used books. Some of the organization does not make sense to me and some of the staff do not seem like big readers, ironically enough. Other than that, the place has a great vibe and lots of fabulous inventory.

Cool store. Guitars are more expensive than new from Amazon. (For example a Fender Redondo used was $450 and new from Amazon it was $300)

Well I retract my review since I was able to get my game back , talked to General manager Rowan and she made things right . But still not going there to sell anything . Learning experience as with pawn shops and game stops . You’re not going to get what the item is worth . If you do have something to sell your better off on eBay or mercuri.

It's decent. Unfortunately, it is run by corporate vultures that want to charge above eBay prices. $10 for a DVD? What is this, 1997? Their expensive items in the case never sell because they are crazy overpriced. They need to get real about their pricing or this place will be gone like Donkey Kong. Occasionally I find decent prices that are similar to eBay

Excellent selection. Unfortunately every time we go there we have an issue with the staff. My son is special needs. One day he turned some books in and even though people were standing around they said they couldn't possibly give him the amount of his credit for a day or two. Okay. We came back a couple days later. Gave his name and we're told he never had brought any books or games in. All but called us liars. It was very upsetting to my son. I let them know that I had given my name and my direct contact number to the person taking in the books. They had nothing. They had basically turned away and we're no longer helping us when I noticed the sign-in sheet and I asked my son if when he had been there a couple days ago he had signed in. Sure enough there was his name. A manager was brought in because the person said they couldn't handle us because there were absolutely no things that he brought in put to the side so she couldn't give us a credit. Manager walked over and within about 2 seconds pointed out that it was very clear he was in the system. Frustrating. On another occasion a man checked us out when my son bought a game. Apparently only the cases are on view and when you check out they put the game inside for you to take home. That wasn't done so we had to return days later to get the game to go inside of the case they had given us. Got to be a better way to do things.

If you go in expecting a deal, don’t. If you do this you won’t be disappointed. My most favorite things were the $5+ empty coke bottles and the $8 game with the $4 goodwill sticker still on it.

Very upset as this place seems to do shady dealings. I brought in 15 books and explained to 2 people that 11 were first editions and worth more. When they called to tell me they finished looking at my books, I was told the books were gone (when I asked for them) & they offered only $22 store credit or $11+ cash. I never agreed to sell my first editions for a mere 75 cents each and I was not given the opportunity to take them back!!  This is highly unethical!  I immediately complained in writing to the corporate office but they just said they'd address it & I never heard back. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because they knew I drove a long way and couldn't come back the next day so they rushed it.

The money they give you for your items are not worth your time. I gave them an entire bin of books, most were in perfect condition and they offered me $6. One of the books I donated I saw on sale for $12. I gave them over twenty books. I wish I donated them instead.

The concept of this store is nice, and I really wish I could leave a positive review, however when I brought in 82 items including my entire dvd collection and books, I was offered $4 cash or $8 store credit for EVERYTHING I brought in. That’s less than 10 CENTS per item. They would not provide me with an itemized list so I know they only selected a few things to pay me for and decided to keep (steal) the rest. I left feeling a bit taken advantage of, honestly.

They have an interesting collection of used books, movies, cds, records, and all things nerdy. Thier trade in value sucks though. I realize they capitalize on people who want to trade in stuff they don't need anymore, but the value they offer sucks. Store credit or cash, with cash being half or less than store credit.  I traded in about 30 books. They offered $15 store credit or $8 cash. I just felt low balled. Next time I want to get rid of books,  I'll just give them to Goodwill. It's not worth my drive.

Now I remember why I don't go to this store anymore. I went on Saturday at 11 am and the store was dead. I wanted to trade some stuff in for credit. The employee said it would take DAYS because they were that behind on processing trade in items. So I just took my stuff back and will just list in online.  The last time I was in this store, few years ago, I took some 80s and 90s DVD sets in (like Jem & the Holograms and Shera) and they only gave me like $30 in credit. I went back a few weeks later and saw my stuff put out and priced. No joke I added everything up and it was a few hundred dollars!  They gave me $30!!! What a rip off!  I sure do miss the Buford location because they were very reasonable.

This place is NEVER STAFFED!! How do you expect to get people to come back if there are NEVER enough staff to help us? There is ONE guy that looks like he is doing like 3 peoples jobs behind the counter. He took my stuff in but then had to run over to the register to help someone then back to me. All while there is a line just getting longer and longer. Then there's ONE person walking the book shelves trying to help four different people find things all while someone that I was told is the manager is casually putting Manga away on the shelves ignoring the dumpster fire of business that's going on behind them. Get your act together 2nd & Charles this is ridiculous and near painful to watch how you are treating your staff.

I came to sell some Funko pops at At at least 60% of value and they undermined completely under 20% if you’re looking to sell items don’t sell it here. Terrible buyback.

They can have a nice selection but as with the other 2nd & Charles location, their buyback offers aren't great. Brought in some signed books and was offered very minimal store credit and even lower cash offer.

The staff are horrific at this store, I was next Iine and two staff members blatantly looked past me to assist two different customers until I said something and then all of a sudden they're sorry. The blatant disrespect, disregard and discrimination is totally unacceptable! I called and spoke to a manager and she was no better. I will be taking this far! You got the wrong one today.

Don’t sell ur stuff here…I brought in over 30 ST pop figures + other things. In total they gave me the option of $30 store cred or $20 cash. I took it because I just needed money. When I came back the next time, all my figures were on the shelves priced around $15-20 EACH. Keep in mind the whole lot I gave, they gave me $20-30 back for ALL of it. Its honestly just a huge ripoff, don’t feel pressured to accept their trash offers and take ur items somewhere else

They stole books from me. I brought in 2 bins full of books and they told me it would be done the next day and they would text when they were done. I did not get a text so I called today (3 days later) and they told me sometimes their system doesn’t send texts. I came into the store to pick up the items they didn’t want but now they refuse to give me the money or credit because they say they gave me the money in cash. I did not receive any payout and to be treated like *I* am the problem is galling. They have hundreds of dollars of my books (already shelved for sale) and I have nothing to show for it. These people are crooks. DO NOT COME HERE.
ETA: curious as to how they they they “cashed me out” when I was picking up the rejects TODAY. I’ve traded/sold there before. They give you the rejects when you agree to their offer. And you have to show ID. Sounds to me like an employee stole it and left me a victim. District Manager was IN THE STORE but would not come talk to me.

1 manager and 1 employee working the whole store. I get there at 10:30 around when they open and they tell me the buy back is behind. They just opened and they are behind? Not to mention there is a homeless man blocking the bin area with 2 shopping carts filled with his stuff.

And lastly, the variety here is sparse compared to Kennesaw and I honestly miss the one they had in Buford it was the best.

I wish I had checked the lowest rating comments before I came here. I had the same experience so many others had. The staff is horrendous, absolutely the worst I've ever encountered anywhere. They're an abomination. Like someone else I arrive at 2pm and almost left after the first five minutes but I didn't. They told me two hours. After I didn't hear anything for three I went back and they said they haven't even started . At 7:50 I went in to follow up and they were done. A text would have been nice. They decided they wanted to buy two out of three totes which was some vinyl records first edition Pokemon cards and 40 books most of which were hard back and non retailed for under $20. They kept me here all day and was rude as hell for $31. Later I went to take a look at the receipt and the long folded up receipt that the lady handed me along with the cash was completely blank. I wonder how much money they stole from me. That's was a horrible experience I cannot recommend going here to sell anything unless you're starving and that's the only way you can eat. I'm going to reach out to the corporate office or their ownership and make sure they know exactly what goes on here at this joke of a business. One star is one too many.

Eight dollars of credit for Thirty CDs

2nd & Charles will sound appealing to many who are looking for a store that sells used books, movies, or games and takes trade ins. People will happily pay for anything they see here because it’s a great deal. Except, it’s not. I’ve noticed most things here are priced higher than their new counterparts. I also had to wait almost three hours for my trade in of thirty CDs to process and there were only two small orders ahead of mine. I ended up receiving eight dollars of in store credit (real money would have been six) and some of those were rare. Sadly, the real reason this place is a scam isn’t because of the prices. It is because of the people. Things are only worth as much as people are willing to pay for them. If you want something worth 40 dollars for 80, be my guest.

Went here bought 2 PlayStation 2 games and a new controller when I just went to open my new games to play them they had no discs inside NO GAMES AT ALL!!! And the controller that I got is buggy and buttons sometimes don’t work!!! I just hope they can fix this and hope they are actually in possession of the games I PURCHASED FROM THEM. But it looks like they just scammed me
