Visited today in Ankeny. This is an absolutely lovely store. Very well curated. Huge selection of high quality vintage and antique items. My sister and I were very impressed. It was so much fun to admire all of the beautiful treasures. We purchased some really cool pieces. We are already planning on going back for more. Extremely clean and well organized store. Very friendly cashiers. Plenty of parking.

Clean, nice product. Well taken care of. With a great variety of unique items. Didn't see a public restroom. Decent prices.

The Attic is amazing the furniture and quality of their merchandise is awesome.  I recently purchased my entire living room furniture including a coffee table and end tables. I shop there all the time but I stopped in the week of Christmas and found everything I needed to furnished my new home. When I picked up my furniture all items were neatly wrapped

My Special Ladyfriend and I dropped by today to see what treasures we could find. Pretty much everything was (predictably) christmas related and we found a bunch of cool stuff to add to our collection. We always like coming here and will most certainly be back!

Unique treasures. I try to stop in once a month. Their seasonal items are beautiful and high quality for good/ fair prices.

I love both consigning and shopping here! The ladies are friendly and professional. They are selective in what they take so there is a level of quality that makes it fun to shop. They do an excellent job of pricing, so both consignors and shoppers get a fair price. Really appreciate that they help unload items and if  they dont take all the items I bring, they are always kind. Worth the drive to Ankeny!

This place has a lot to see if you're looking for some home decor. There are lovely paintings, beautiful furniture, and desirable knick knacks. My mother-in-law stops in weekly due to the changing inventory and deal on Wednesdays.

I bought a pie dish with the recipe printed on, as I like those for under ten dollars. The prices obviously varies as they have small items to older, more valuable furniture. They also had a couple neat Halloween things in there today. I'm sure they'll have more seasonal decorations around the holidays.

Overall, neat home decor thrift store with desirable items at fair prices.

My husband and I went in yesterday to see if we could find some furniture. We didn't see any furniture we loved (personal preference, as there were several nice pieces in the store), but I left with a few other things. The store is well-organized and clean, the staff was super friendly, and I feel as if the prices were very reasonable. There were even some homemade items mixed in with the consignment items! I will definitely be back.

I like it... More than friends. I love the things and stuff they have. You can buy it too. Bring your money. Trade the money for stuff.

You love nic nacs then this is the place to go. We were able to get some McCoy piece and a few other items at a very good price. I'd get more if I had the room for it. The staff was nice and the atmosphere was great. It was clean and people were happy to help when needed. Will be back when I have more space.

Very nice as far as antique shops are concerned. Not a huge selection. However the items they had are in very nice condition and had reasonable prices. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was very inviting.  We will definitely be back again.

This was our first trip to the Attic. I was very impressed with it. Everything was arraigned  beautifully.  As if it were high end merchandise  in a home setting.  The clerk was friendly and explained how the pricing system worked.

I love the Attic in Ankeny! I have bought so much decor for our house from there and have found a bunch of vintage items for very low prices. It's also just a fun place to go and look at all the stuff people collect and have over the years! Their product turnover rate is amazing so each trip is completely different!

I like the fact that they're right up front with you when you bring things in to sell. If they don't think they will sell they tell you right away.   Their store is clean and well arranged.  And, they're smart and nice.

Love this place. Great place to find quality dishes, decorations, purses, furniture, figurines like willow tree and trinkets.

A consignment shop that specializes in unique, novel items.  It has a fairly broad aesthetic appeal, but usually lends itself to some form of vintage.  Consignment of items is fairly clear cut if you have items you want to sell - it's probably a good idea to call ahead before you bring your item in since they are selective - i.e., don't expect to unload a bunch of CRT monitors or your old vhs collection.

Usually they display well maintained items of a certain rarity or broad aesthetic appeal - so, as a consumer, quality items from other countries & cultures will always draw my appeal when I stop in, not just Americana.

Also, keep in mind, retail space is limited & you won't be able to necessarily set your asking price.  And don't destroy antiques or rarities trying to scrub them clean - it's bad for your item & asking price, it's bad for them to sell, & I am less than likely to purchase highly damaged items.

Even if you want nothing to do with consignment, it is always interesting to stop in & see what new or different items people have brought in.  The Attic is a nice place - it definitely fills a large gap in modern retail.  I really do hope we will see growth & expansion of the Attic.

The Attic is such a fun store! Lots of decor treasures and furnishings.  They can be a little pricey, but it's still fun to look.

Pretty quality pieces,  but man the prices are so dang high. If they were half off I think a lot of them would still be high. Very nice inventory though just be ready to pay

This was my first visit there and it's laid out well,  it's roomy, and there seems to be a good selection of merchandise...However , in my honest opinion, I  feel some of the merchandise is  a bit overpriced , which I realize it's a consignment shop but people aren't always going to get out of their items everything that they think they are entitled to, price -wise.  but the products that I bought I really like them and you just kind of have to look around and see what they have. The staff was friendly and I really have no other complaints other than I think some of the  things are overpriced.

I love this store, but I wish they had more of the consignment items back and less purchased filler. The vibe just feels different after they combined the 2 stores. Still have beautiful things, displayed beautifully.

I found some very reasonably priced collectible Fenton Glass pieces here. There were some different antique cup and saucer sets that were a steal! I  enjoyed walking around inside. It had a very comfortable atmosphere and plenty of room to walk without feeling worried you might bump into and break something. Reccomend!

Good selection of furniture and decorative items.  Thought prices were reasonable.  No high pressure. AND they are a dealer for good looking storage sheds also!

Prices are so high now. Your almost better to by new. So disappointing.  We loved this place 3-4 years ago that we always brought our friends.

High budget, but had lots to choose from. Unique and vintage items. What really turned me off was a funky smell when I walked in. I really enjoyed their Christmas selection.

Just an okay place. I was expecting a bigger store and just alot of glassware.  Just not the big selection of things like other consignment places I've been to.  I went on a Wednesday which they had 10% off sale which was nice.

The furniture is in like new condition and is priced accordingly.  I use a wallet and was afraid I would break some or bump something breakable.Only saw one employee and he was at the desk no one in the floor to help or answer questions.

They charge you 50% commission, you wait a month to get paid. Then they charge you a $1 check processing fee to get paid.. I will Never buy or sell with this place again!

The store is beautiful with many beautiful things! Unfortunately, I find the staff disrespectful in the fact that they treat their customers badly. The consignors are made to go by a rules which are unnecessary and can't be changed even if things are inconvenient for them. Everything must be convenient for the store only. Since I live out of town, I was unable to travel 30 miles to get a piece back which wasn't sold that day. I had just gotten home from surgery which had been done in Des Moines right before they called. While I was picking up the item, the staff made an appointment with another customer while I was waiting. Again, it was at the store's convenience and not the consignors. As I had problems standing because it was 2 days after my surgery, the woman clerk finally asked what I needed. She hadn't been doing anything. When I pick up the rest, I won't be taking anything back.

THEY STOLE MY MONEY!!! This place sold my piece of furniture, never contacted me about it (nor mailed the check by the 6th of the month as is stated in the contract we agreed to at the time), purposefully waited for the check to expire, then refused to issue me a new check when I found out about it, and stated they changed the contract without informing us and they don't mail out checks anymore because that would be too much work. They will just keep  My money now.... There is nothing that can be done. Then said they hope that we consider using them in the future! Unbelievable! Talk about robbery!
