Really expansive place. Be prepared to spend 2 hours looking through everything. Large collection of games, movies, music, comics, manga, etc. Good place to participate in a Yugioh Locals event. Starts 3:30 PM on Saturdays and 1:30 PM on Sundays. Cheap 6 dollar buy-in. Chill atmosphere overall and some pretty good prices on things.

Jay's is a fantastic place. All of the staff is very professional. The place is well organized and they have almost anything nerdy you could ever want, and if there's something they don't have they can order it in for you. I recommend this place to anyone, especially if you're a magic player. They're magic selection is second to almost none.

They have all the cool games for old school.nintendoes, nintendo switch , Pretty much any game system made . They sell trading cards for pokemon, digemon ect.All kinds of collector figures like wonder woman super man,IVe evan seen figures from the walking dead.

Wow I will start with saying that somebody else left a review that they didn't think they were very female friendly. They must have had an off day because I asked a couple of questions and I was not treated any differently than a male customer. They were actually very helpful. This place is definitely overwhelming when you walk in because there's so much stuff. You're not sure where to start. But they have a little something for everyone. I am not a collector of Star Wars or Warhammer or any of that kind of stuff but I do like NASCAR diecast and they did have some old cars that I purchased. I will say that the Ankeny location which is still setting up as it is new had more of the high-end Die Cast I wanted. They also had Guitar Hero guitars which I did not see at the Des Moines location. I maybe just missed them. I would say definitely check this place out. If you don't see what you want at one of the locations go to a different one.

The best store for all things collected! This place loves to give back to the community, holding several fundraisers a year for great causes, including providing free comics to various schools across Des Moines! Looking for something you think no one has ever heard of? If they don’t have it, they’ll get it. Wonderful staff full of knowledge about your collection(s) that you didn’t know you needed to know. The buy-back center provides a fair value for your most-prized possessions. If you disagree, no big deal! It probably means you’d rather hang on to it anyway, rather than sell it away! lol If you’re in town for a weekend, this place is worth a visit (as is Monsterama Arcade)!

Ordered a WWE figure for Christmas that Amazon wasn’t going to be able to get to me before Christmas. Jay’s got it to me in 4 days with plenty of time to spare. About 30 min after I placed my order, customer service reached out to me to clarify details of my order to ensure I received the correct figure. It was so nice to talk to a real person and I appreciate so much the attention to detail and speed in taking care of my order. Such a great experience and will be ordering from them from now on!
