Although the store is under new ownership, my experience consigning items there was the same as the review from 2009. The contract I signed was very unspecific about discounts and sale prices after the original 3 months. I went it to pick up my items after 3 months and was told to just leave them longer- no discussion about the new pricing of the items as time went on. After over 1 1/2 years, my items had not been sold. When I went it to pick them up, I was told to look around the store for them. I found the majority of the items, with the exception of 2. Then the clerk remembered that they had been sold. I did receive a check. I was astonished at the low sale price. They basically gave one item away. I called the next day but the owner was not in the store. The clerk said she would have the owner call me. After 2 days, I called back and the clerk said she knew the owner had the message. I finally connected with the owner who said "too bad." So I would urge you to discuss the details of the contract in detail before considering consignment of items at this store. Although there is new ownership, it sounds like the same old policies. And by the way, I think that my items did not sell because the original sale price was too high.
