A1 Estate Sale

Carol and Chris are so great! I brought my 2 year old, 4 year old and 9 year old to an estate sale hosted by A1 and usually you get looks for bringing kids in! Not only was she super sweet to them, but they also had awesome deals for us parents! Thanks again, Carol!!

I am so pleased with the job Chris did!! I’m in charge of my sister’s estate and had to get the house ready for sale. Her 2 story home, basement, and garage were full of stuff. For months my family and I worked on it. Finally, I hired A1 Estate Sales. I wish I would have called them months ago. They did all the work. And…anything that didn’t sell they took away for a fair price!! Old furniture, beds, old piano…. All said and done we made a profit and the whole house is cleared out. Thank you Chris!!

I have used A1 Estate sales 3 times for my uncle, aunt and most recently my mother. Each time I am so please with the consideration and empathy the A1 team exhibits. When doing an estate sale there is so much emotion and consideration of the value of items. Each time A1 has met my expectations with respect and integrity. Thank you A1 team for joining us and making this transition go as smooth as possible.

I can say enough good things about A1 estate sales! Unlike a few other companies in the area, they are always fair to everyone. Everyone must individually sign to hold their spot in line and if you want to ensure a front spot you can pay a small fee which is worth it since almost every sale has so much good stuff! There is always a huge crowd every time they have a sale and their professionalism shows. The prices are always more than reasonable ensuring a good sale with most everything sold. Mike and Chris are very honest and knowledgeable which is why I always recommend them to anyone who is looking to have an estate sale. They even cleaned out all the debris and garbage in our house, garage and attic, which with such speedy flawless service compared to none.They also do so much for the community by donating to local animal shelters and fosters which I love! Also donating clothes and furniture to the needy, and also donating the food items to area, pantries .I will never miss an A1 Estate Sale.

My aunt died unexpectedly in July 2023 and I reached out to A1 Estate Sale and several others during a brief visit to Merrillville shortly thereafter to get organized for an estate sale. Only Chris and team took the time to come by during my few days in town to look through household goods and provide an explanation of services and cost. Estate sale was held in January 2024 (after house went under contract) for two days. Lots of work for the team ... two days set-up/tagging, two day sale, one day clean-out remaining items. Buyers were waiting in line on the first day and there was plenty of traffic over the two-day period and A1 managed the entire process. Chris kept me well informed of what was taking place and did a great job managing expectations. Even though we had combed through the house in advance, A1 still found some old tax returns that we had missed. Great job .... highly recommend!

When my grandmother died and left behind a house full of stuff that we didn't know what to do with A1 came along provided all the services that we needed in order to sell the house. They brought in a whole team to set up the house for the sale. What really impressed me was they found personal items and items of value that we didn't know existed. They even found money in the house and brought all that to us before the sale. They have quite a following online and I was truly impressed with the number of people that came to the sale. The whole process went seamlessly. Within days after the sale the entire house was cleaned out. We had our profits and were able to get the house listed. I really don't know what we would have done without them. Great company. Mike and Chris were wonderful and I would have no hesitancy in referring them to anyone needing services such as this!

Chris communicated very well. He showed up when he said he would and the house was empty within days of the sale. Highly recommend.

I went to an estate sale promoted by A-1 Estate this past weekend and it was amazing! I paid the “Early Entry Fee” and was VERY pleased that I did. I often go to several estates sales in one day and getting in early is GREAT and worth the price of admission. Gives me time to get what I went for and move on to the next sale. Also, they have the best prices of all the Estate Sales company I’ve purchased from. Mike and Chris were very professional, helpful and cordial. I purchased a few heavy items, and they helped me move it. If you are ever in the position to need an estate sale: these are your people. Thanks again! - Tom
