This is one of my favorite places to shop.  They have all sorts of things you might need around your house for very reasonable prices.  There's usually someone around who can answer questions and the people they employ always seem friendly and helpful.  Great store whether you need a random can of paint or just a shovel.  But they also keep a steady supply of lighting fixtures, floors and even doors.
If you buy something heavy, they help you load it in your car.  Just an awesome place to shop.

This was a good experience.  Wide variety of items and stock rotates frequently.  Staff is helpful. It is possible to purchase something and leave it in the store for a few days until you get the vehicle needed for pick up

I always seem to find something I can use, even if it wasn't what I came in for. Ok the hunt for a wide drawer to install under our oven. No luck this visit, but I found some cool LED and compact fluorescent lights!

I really love this place. As part of the emerging permaculture I find that I really and truly love repurposing things and never really wasting anything and so I love donating to restore when I do renovations and redecorate and I enjoy purchasing from restore. The prices are great the condition of most of the items is very good and if you purchase something that you can't just take home you have 3 days to get it out of there. Today I got a very nice office chair two matching bathroom wall cabinets and a great little wall hanging for about $60. After coming home and checking the prices of these items new I found out that I saved over $375. Restore and reuse people it's a beautiful thing.

This is the best place to donate and find all house and remodeling related items. You'll find both new and used paint that has been shaken and tested before on the shelf,  all kinds of hardware and tools,  plumbing pipe,  appliances,  indoor and outdoor wood, tile,  stone,  carpet, DOORS and windows,  fixtures,  fans,  some decor and furniture. No clothing or soft goods except some fabric covered furniture in nice condition. It's a treasure trove for doers doing more on a low budget. The best part is proceeds support building homes for families who wouldn't have a home otherwise.

I bought the same IKEA couch for 15dollars. It is the same one we have owned for 9 years. I have purchased so many covers. And I love the couch. We have disinfectant all of the cushions and I know I got a Great Deal..The couch seemed to be less than a year old.Love this place.

Closed right now but was there earlier today. Wonderful place, selling donated used or excess building supplies, furniture, appliances, and even many new in box glass sinks of different styles. I just received a brand new white washer and dryer and picked up a wonderful white dryer pedestal for $15( on sale from 20) and a really nice 40 tooth 7 1/2 carbide saw blade(new in shrink wrap) for $3.99.
Great place to buy or donate since proceeds go to help Habitat For Humanity build homes for deserving needy. I believe there are 3 or 4 stores around metro area.

If you are a home owner who takes care of your own home you should check out the Restore.  It is like a thrift hardware store and can really save you a bundle if they have what you need.  I have bought a lot of stuff there, including a cook top and tools.  They also accept donations of intact building materials, some working appliances, tools, etc....and it is a charity so that donation might be deductible... win-win. This is a great institution you should get to know...in my opinion.

This place is fantastic! Great stuff. Lots of options, good prices. Very friendly people. They will help you find items or help get them in your car or truck. Even the other customers are friendly here. It's a great place to pick up building materials or things that you need to fix up your house.

Great second hand finds at very affordable prices.  Habitat for Humanity is a wonderful charity & this will always be my first stop for something unique & useful.  I've never been disappointed!

Staff was really helpful with finding the items I wanted and everything was well organized. Got a whole set of door pulls in great condition at a good price. Also found a fun wicker coffee table for $15, an unexpected find of the day.

My family loves this store! We have bought so many lights and things for redecorating here! The prices are great and then they have sales on top of the regular affordable pricing! Good place to donate household iteams as well when you are switching things out. We bought beautiful wall sconces here to redo our den and a huge glass sink bowl for our bathroom we are adding. You never know what you will find! Sinks, nails, appliances, yard tools, lights, furniture,  decor, they have so much variety! Beforegoing to a egular home improvement store for something, check here first to see what they have!

It's like a "home Depot used" store. Everything is so well priced, and even then I don't care to spend a little extra to get more stuff or bigger stuff because the money helps others. Plus the selection of building materials and home and lawn care and paint supplies and tools....it's almost too much. No, not too much. I go to 3 when I go to any. This is one of my stops.

This is a great place to take stuff to recycle from the house! They have a large variety of stuff to buy at deeply discounted prices. The exceptions were a couch that looked brand new that was $125 and a men's dresser for $650 and a women's dresser for $750. Otherwise, there were couches for $50, chairs for $40. They also had cabinets, washers and dryers, tables, bookcases, hutches, paint, garden stuff, tile, carpet remnants, plates, bowls, lights, doors, toilets, tools and many more things!!! Of course, you never know what they will have so you gotta stop in.

Thank you for your review. Pricing is tricky. We always try to get the most $ from our donations because all our sales go to support Habitat KC's affordable housing programs. We also need to make sure things are going to move because we get new inventory in every day and need the space. 

never know what you might find that either will help with accomplishing a DIY project, or a random tool that can be useful.  my only issue is the strange pricing.  some items seem way over priced, and others seem to almost be, not just a good value, almost a steal.

Clean and organized. Employees were friendly and helpful. I was amazed at all the new electrical items that had been donated. Also, to my surprise, cow bells are in abundance. I purchased a few to ring during the Super Bowl game and it was amazing!! I'm definitely going to frequent here more often.

This one  It's of 87th street a lot smaller than most of them I've  been to. It  Doesn't really stick out so it was kind of hard to find. Even for the  smaller size it still has a lot of items.

Becareful with kids because things are on the floor you can trip on. It has a lot of paint, which is a plus. Also, it had a lot of tile. I didn't even know that this place existed. If you remove things from your home for projects you can donate them to this store, great idea! One downfall, it's not clean so don't go in with clothes you don't want to get dusty or dirty if you happen to rub up on things.

I meant that you *have* high end stuff, not that it's priced high end. Like I saw a gorgeous sink that I would say was even 75% off retail.  But my house is basic lol. Thanks for the response and thanks for helping me get upgraded stuff for my house! Not everyone else is selling ceiling tiles the home warehouse store does but they come in sets so you can't even get the proper amount you need.  I love what I picked there at habitat !

Our locations are often limited on spacing for sold items and many times have to leave them on the floor marked sold. We price our products 30-50% lower than the big box stores, and we routinely research our pricing and make adjustments. Please remember that the proceeds help build decent, affordable housing for families in need right here in Kansas City. Our goal is always to have fair pricing while maximizing our ability to help build strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter.

Its ok but the ones in lawrence and topeka are much less expensive. Granted they dont have high end stuff that I've seen at this location. Really high end sinks and doors. Employees were very nice and helpful. A bit frustrating that literally every piece of furniture had a sold tag on it. Cant it be placed in the back or something I was really disappointed.

The staff was very friendly and super helpful with loading. There are lots of items at reasonable prices. I found several things I was in need of! the only problem is that this location is very crowded and they should consider expanding to a larger store. Some of the aisles were difficult to navigate and there wasn't much organization. (Hint to management: the unit right next door is available. Possible expansion opportunity). The store is in a strip mall and not all that easy to see from the road. It was busy on Saturday.  Check it out!

Love this store; great prices and good service, together with all proceeds going to a great charity, equal my favorite supply store experience. If you need construction supplies or unique furniture and fixtures, look no further. Great management and helpful folks.

The store is well managed, like all the ReStore locations. The supply of materials, etc., appears to be somewhat sparse. Or it could be that this place is just really popular. I always find something here that I need. If you're in the area, and you're looking to save some money, it's worth a stop.

Thank you for the review Sabrina we love to get feedback from our customers. Let me address some issues you pointed out. We do have a bathroom for public use but it was out of order due to needing the sink fixed. It is now fixed so if you return we most definitely have a bathroom for you to use. As far as not having much in the store I will say that happens now and then. We sell items at a high volume and every once in a while our sales exceed donations coming in. Therefore the store is not as full, with not as many choices. That happened to be the case when you came in to visit us. Typically we have the store completely overflowing with items. Come back and see us again I feel you will have a different experience.

I've been to a few of the restore locations. This one I hadn't been to, and I was a bit disappointed. First I really needed to use the bathroom because we drove for a while, and they didn't allow any customers to use their facilities. I found that odd because all the other,  (3) locations I've been to, did have public restrooms. Ok, no big deal. But then they really didn't have much in this store anyways. It is a lot smaller than the other locations and I understand they can't have all the things the others do, but it seemed it was a lot of things there that people were just walking past and didn't even interest them anyways. 🤔 Seems they need a bigger place or less of the junk items that no one wants... oh, and a bathroom is nice to. I didn't stay long with nothing there and the fact of all needing a bathroom. Lol.

Thank you for the feedback Terry. We are always working hard to do whatever we can to raise funds to assist our Habitat families. The pricing is a very difficult part of this. We want the customers to get great deals but at the same time serve our community. At the end of the day the prices are set by the customers mainly due to the fact that we set a price and if it doesn’t sell we mark the price down until it does sell. I can buy new and better for less for  alot of things they sell whomever is doing there pricing is a clown alot of people need help themselves you build houses for people that are no worse off then most people I don't wish to pay more for used when  I can get new you had boxs of flooring for 70 dollars a box menards I bought same 38 dollars a box new and most of the people in the inner city don't appreciate what you do for them

Prices are way too high.  Many items are less than 20% off the retail price.  Some are more expensive than the store.

Other items they mark on the box what the cost is new.  Nobody cares what the new price is, there's no manufacturer warranty on used items.

I was told there were a lot of great deals here. I didn’t see anything that was clean. There was one good deal that I liked, but I didn’t need it so we moved on.

I think this location is the smallest. Not much to pick from.
▪︎Nice cashier, but don't think will go back to this location, too small to have much, on site.
It is small strip mall, parking right up from.
▪︎Doesn't even have full name out front on the building, you spit, you miss it. We did, lol.

For retail shopping (not handyman work) - Sometimes you have a lucky, good find. Most of the stuff is junky and prices are okay. Occasionally there might be something good on the small "free" shelf.  The store is dusty and disorganized, like nobody cares.  There are many employees, but they just seem to be moving fast, but not really doing anything - except yelling at you for checking the paint. Do not open the paint. Overall, better off at Goodwill or Pennies from Heaven.

People give you free inventory and you want to waste their time scrutinizing it after specifically saying you wanted it before I brought it to you.  It takes time, money and energy hauling stuff to you.  It's a whole lot easier for me to simply haul anything I don't want to the dump even if there is a fee to do so, or just wait for large trash pickup.

Since you did that and with an attitude before you even saw the actual load, you'll receive no more donations from me.  I've given you quite a lot the past two years,  including items in your store right now that you've priced in excess of $300.

You say I can arrange to have things picked up?   Sure if I want to waste a day waiting on you and then dealing with the same attitude.    No thank you.

I had to chase down someone to talk with to make donations and was told to come back the next day at 9am as he turned and walked away ignoring my follow up question.  Terrible experience!  I work a day job and drove 30 minutes out of my way to make my donation.  Conversely, the Salvation Army and City Thrift on Wornall were not only happy to accept my donations but were supportive and grateful.

Couldn't really find that good of buys.   Went to 2 locations.  At one store all the really nice items were bought by one person.  Had sales receipt but not yet picked up.  Told by sales clerk some people come daily.  So really hard to compete with that.

I bought an orbital sander at this location and returned it the next day. I told the cashier that it doesn’t work properly, something is defective with it. He asked me “well does it turn on?” And I said yes but just because it turns on, doesn’t mean the tool works right. He gave me a refund and said he would put it back on the shelf. I replied   “but it doesn’t work??” and he said “if it turns on, then it does”

Honestly, it should’ve been thrown in the trash.
At this point, I learned my lesson that some tools, you can’t buy used. Maybe it was donated for that reason that it didn’t work properly. Save yourself the hassle and go to Harbor Freights for affordable tools. I feel bad for the next customer who THINKS they’re getting a tested/working product.

Terrible experience. The young manager there would not exchange the higher valued chandelier we had for a lower valued one he had in the store.  He could have made more money with the one we offered only telling us we can't do any exchanges because of "company policy." Ridiculous. "Company policy" kept him from making a great deal for the company. My wife and I walked away disappointed with him, his attitude and the company.
