Love coming to this location and the baton rouge store. The anime is a little disorganized at this location, but has been a little bit better the last couple of visits.

They have a lot more than just books. I was surprised at how big the store actually is. The selection of books is huge. They have games and puzzles and a lot of different items for sale or trade. I'm definitely going back to shop

It's a large book store. They even sell old video games and rare energy drinks.

Loved 2ns & Charles every time I go. Great book selections for new and used books. Always walk out with something I didn't know I needed.

Boy. Did I have fun here! Not only do they allow outside drinks (redbull for me...how classy) but did it with a grace unheard of in today's modern society. Great place for designing future homes and/or palaces. Thanks to both Charles. They sure are respectable and snazzy

2nd best book store in the area. Ox lot books is nicer for new books but also not opened on Sundays.

The customer service I experience there was absolutely astonishing. I was trying to shop with my littlest, and as I was checking out she was kind of starting to get a little wild. And so one of the cashiers kept distracting her while I finish paying and being a mom of two that helps so much and it goes such a long way to have that little help shown. Shout out Hudson

2nd & Charles has rows of rows of books, new and used. It's practically a book store. There is also a large collect of DVDs. I would recommend if you're looking for something to do or trying to find a specific book. The rare book collection is small, one 5 shelve stack. Customer reps are helpful and friendly. The aisles are wider for those who need the extra accessibly space while searching the boom aisles. Check out is simple and easy. Would recommend for book lovers.

Always love going to 2nd and Charles! They've got board games, card games, video games, books, knick knacks, posters, comics, and so much more. I go regularly and can easily spend hours looking through new inventory. The kids are always excited to spend all their money here!

Love this place.

While it can be a little out of the way for me, it's always worth the trip out to see the wide range of books, manga, collectibles, music, shows, and everything.

I always find a gem when I visit, and even though the workers were super busy, they went above and beyond to help me, and I am super grateful for that!

I wouldn't be mad if another location opened closer to New Orleans, but if it doesn't I'll gladly keep going back.

They really have a lot of stuff for you to browse through (neatly organized), and the prices aren't too bad  at all (accept for rare items). Just like some online places, you probably won't find that rare game/comic/figure that a lot of people online or looking for at a steal of a price, but you may find some old shows or items that mean a lot to you at a good price.

They have a really good selection of old TV shows and vinyls. I also think the comics and graphic novels were plentiful.

This place is worth checking out just to satisfy that itch of 'what if insert item I'm looking for is there'. You can also sell your unwanted media/toys here.

If you like old media this is the place. There's a ton of books,cd's and Dvd's to choose from and the prices aren't too cheap. I know they buy stuff,but I didn't bring anything in so I can't speak to how the process is. There's a large selection of comic book and Anime items from Tshirts to action figures.
Its honestly like going back in time to the old Music/Book stores that had everything you could want.
I don't think the musical instruments in stock are name brand,but they might be good for a beginner or someone who wants something to knock around on.

We love this place, my two boys who are ten and six want to come all the time. It is like a mini comic Con. You can find all kind of pop culture stuff such as figures, pops vinyls, records, compact discs, movies, posters, t-shirts, video games and I haven't even talked about all the books and comics. They are always clean and helpful. If they don't have they will help you find it. They are active in helping the community also which is very affectionated!

This place is spectacular. They had absolutely everything you could imagine, except zero books on American Sign Language, which I've been trying at several book stores to buy a variety of. Bought some games, and MTG cards. This place is really fun, super kid friendly.

What an awesome place! I've never been to 2nd & Charles before, and what a treat!  Books,  DVDs , records... what a wonderful time I had browsing! The organization was easy to navigate, and I will definitely find one near my own home.

Amazing place. I used to live in town there and had no idea about this place. My brother suggested it while my son and I were in town visiting for Labor Day and WOW! We made a family event that lasted a few hours and was pleasurable for the whole family, with a 1 yr old, 3 yr old, 8 yr old, 13 yr old and 3 adults. Will definitely be back

The only thing that would make 2nd and St. Charles better is an open air courtyard. This place is excellent. The selection of all genres of books, vinyl, dvds, stationery, and even trinkets provides just the right break from life's hustle and bustle. Highly recommend.
I have not been once where I haven't found either what I was looking for, something I hadn't planned on needing. Folks are really nice too.

There is some thing for everyone here. Musical equipment, music, books, movies, video games, and toys. It’s very organized and clean too. Everyone who works there is nice as well.

This bookstore was so very cool!!! I loved the wide selection of vinyls, books and gifts. They even had a reading area in the back...perfect for reading while relaxing on their comfy chair. Another cool thing was their sale/clearance book selection. Highly recommend this store, I really wish this location so much success because I'm sure it brings so much joy to book lovers. Will definitely be coming back many more times.

Great store with great stuff...especially the Vinyl collection, which is awesome. A little hard to follow store layout, but it's a bookstore. Who needs maps in a bookstore?

Great store for records,movies,video games ,books, and funko pops.  Can be pricey, tho.   Dont recommend selling things there

Very cool place,  decibel recommend. Just the pricing seems inconsistent. Some things are great prices, and others are "Are you kidding me" high. For example, the oversized 20-sided resin die was $30. However I found a General Organa figure for $13.

Nice clean store. Large selection of books and merchandise. Mainly kept clean. They are a bit pricey though and if you need a bag you will need to pay $2-$5 depending on the bag. So bring in your own bag if you're purchasing quite a bit.

Somewhat organized chaos but it's a great place to kill an afternoon.

This place is big and seems to go on forever! I would dare to say a bit overwhelming… it reminds me of “books a million meets fye”. Lots of cool things to look at (somewhat overpriced) and plenty of dvds! (Beware that some work and some don’t) Not a bad place to stop into and browse around.

Great store for used books. But only if you have plenty of time to browse. New books are (for the most part) cataloged in an orderly fashion. Previously loved, not so much. The clearance section is a hot mess.

A large used bookstore. They sell plenty of used books too. Lots of neat branded and Disney items. They sell records of all sorts. Friendly employees. No plastic bags at checkout, bring your own.

While they have a good amount of books and games, almost non of the books are organized, employees seem not to know where books are, asked one where the horror section was and they directed me to romance, the same books are in different sections, I found one book in romance, fiction and adult fiction, why not just have it at the same place instead of all over the store, despite having alphabetical latter's showing there organized by initials the only ones that are ads the graphics novels, all around very hard to find specific books, if your gonna go trying to find something, block off a few hours,

I used to love shopping for books here, but the books are no longer organized alphabetically so it’s incredibly difficult to find a particular author. They’re arranged by letter but not organized within each letter. Authors are scattered all over the place.

I dont typically have any issues with this store, but I went last week some time. I had a bunch of books that I wanted them to buy back. The person working behind the buy back counter was extremely rude and was rushing me on everything. When I walked in, I told them I wanted to do the buy back. The worker, before I could everything out, interrupted me and said "get a white tote". While I was getting my ID out, they told me "hurry and fill this out we can't do anything without this filled out." I had a book that had a corner that was slightly curled up (no more than what you'd find at a book store) and they told they couldn't take it because it was too bad of condition and then slammed it onto the counter; however as I was walking around the store, I saw multiple books that were in much worse condition than the one they told me I couldn't sell to them.

I was in the store for over an hour waiting for my offer since I do not live near the store and wouldn't know when I'd be back. Before I went to checkout, I went to check on the status - to which the worker told me that it would be a while because of all the bins they had - but the worker was playing on their phone. When I arrived, there was only 1 bin in front (that I could see).

The employee was just extremely short and rude to me and acted like I should have known every single thing happening. Customer service skills need to be better trained on them.

I’ve had some good experiences with this store, However, note that I only look for manga (which they have a lot of). I took off a star or two  because they don’t stock Pokémon cards very well at all. And when they did have some cards (from a special set, so rarer packs) which I wanted to buy, they were opened at the sides. Nothing seemed missing, but overall you don’t buy unsealed product for full price especially in a blind bag situation.

This place used to have a reading nook with a couch & a area for gamers to play RPGs & such. Still has a great book selection, but otherwise there isn't much reason for me to come back here. My local bookstore is much closer & more easily accessible.

Disorganized. Hard to find any books you want. Big signs saying, "fiction" all over one side, so you assume it's all the fiction. No. But then the smaller sections they don't have labelled so you have to wander trying to find the authors/book type you're looking for.
They have some fun random things, like Disney merch and Funko Pops, but it's all overpriced. Especially when some of it is second hand.

The only reason I really visited here was for TCGs and CCGs and they stopped carrying them. Their prices are so way too high. Laughably high actually. And they never have good deals on new items. The one thing they have that you may or may not be able to get somewhere else is used books.

I'm not impressed. I could bring a book that was released that day and would be told they have too many. I get the concept, but it's just not worth the stop.

They're selling stuff that is $20 brand new for $50. Do NOT buy funkos here

Management is surprisingly hom*phobic though it’s supposed to be an lgbt friendly store? And the 4 USED books I picked out were over double the price of the same brandnew ones sold elsewhere. The Slidell bookstores are much more kind and highly affordable

I’ve always enjoyed this store in the past, but last weekend I had the worst experience and don’t think I want to return to this location again. I had dropped off  huge box of books with one funko pop. Most of the box was books that were new without tags, popular series, and required school reading. Not only did I get $30 for a full totes of books that were worth at least $10 each, they never notified me that my offer was ready even though I put my phone number and email on the sheet clearly and correctly. Who ever was in charge of sending my confirmation clearly needs to read better because the only way I didn’t receive notice of my offer was because someone put in the wrong information. Since I never got anything, I couldn’t even get my money and had to have a store credit-even though it was your worker’s fault, not mine. Plus I’m sure you sold my stuff for way more than what I was paid since it was mostly nwot and mint condition. To top it off, after spending hours finding merchandise (btw the cds are awfully unorganized so I gave up trying to shop from there) and digging through misplaced inventory, having to go to the offer counter since there were no cashiers, and having to carry a whole stack of merch since there’s no bags-the security alarm set off when I was trying to leave even though I was clearly just at the register and had a receipt in my hand and a notification from my bank confirmation that I payed. I have never been more humiliated since I always pay for my own stuff and never steal since it’s stupid and not worth the consequences. Even after being nice to the staff despite my reasonable frustrations about my offer, I was treated like a thief when the opposite occurred. I couldn’t sworn the cashier mis-scanned my items on purpose even though I did nothing to her. Plus other staff were gawking at me laughing at me while I was shopping. This used to be one of my favorite stores, but now the experience is ruined for me. I don’t plan on returning unless they get more competent staff.

The only reason why I think they stay in business is because of dumb lazy people.
Anything they sell there I can easily get for so much cheaper in price and in much greater condition.

The men’s bathroom hasn’t been cleaned in 3 weeks. The last time I went in there the entire bathroom smelled of excrement. The toilet was overflowing with diarrhea. The floor was smeared with feces. This is bar none the nastiest experience I’ve ever had in any business. It probably shouldn’t come as a surprise, though. Everyone who works there looks like an escaped psychiatric patient.

The manager and Some worker thought I stole and I didn't.I  don't  steal!!!So they made the thing go off when I walked out of the store. I paid for my items! cops were called bc I refuse to give them my purse to go back in the store with! I have medicines and personal things like my credit cards. And they're not getting my purse or getting their hands on my personal items!!!!!!!  Then they would not move behind my car so I could leave and go get my kids from school. I will never go there again !!beware people!!! Those people wasted My time and the Officers on duty time!
