Delightful family owned store with quality antiques at fair prices. Had a great experience buying a vintage Danish MCM rosewood table for a friend's housewarming.

We have been buying from Danish Country for many, many years. There is always a great selection of high quality items that, although primarily antique, fit a more modern aesthetic - the lighter, less elaborate, Scandinavian style. I think that they have a - far higher proportion of higher quality stuff than I have found in the vast majority of similar stores in Boston. And the owner and his sister are delightful!

Great selection - both antiques and mid-century modern. They'll also help you find what you're looking for if they don't have it.

I have bought several pieces from Danish Country. This unique antique store has been on Charles Street for over 30 years. The owner has an eye when personally picking out each individual piece on his bi-annual trips to Scandinavia! Voted Best of Boston in 2012, you are in for a wonderful treat when you walk through the doors.

Very rude brushed me off on the phone when I ask a question about a kitchen table so rude ppl like that dont deserve business at all.
Hi Elias, We’re sorry you felt brushed off following your phone call today. We’re flattered you would seek our perspective but it’s extremely difficult for us to offer an informed opinion about a table after you describe it over the phone - we certainly wouldn’t want to provide an opinion regarding a 1970’s piece we’re not familiar with and have never seen. Furthermore, we’re a family business specializing in Scandinavian antiques and MCM furniture and typically do not source from individual sellers. My advice to search online was genuine, as you may be able to find more specific information for your treasured table. Regards, Jim Owner

My husband and I visited this antique shop on our honeymoon. We are from out of state and couldn't bring any large furniture with us, but we decided to buy a tray and a coat hanger. Our purchase totalled about $70, and the shopkeeper (an older man whom I believe was the owner) was very friendly, asking us where we were from and congratulating us on the wedding. A few weeks ago, we were going over our purchases and saw that we had been charged not $70 but $90 from this shop. It may have been some kind of accidental overcharge, but I believe he knew we were from out of town and figured he could charge us an extra $20. The store has beautiful furniture, and I really like what we did purchase, but this "mistake" ruined the store for me.
