some of the coolest pieces I've ever seen. for those who, like me, had never considered sweden and the other norther european countries having their own striking style of amtiques, you are in for a real treat. they are breathtakimg and like no other style out there. the store is large and has an impressive collection. clocks, tables, armoires. the owner takes buying trips to europe to personally choose the merchandise, and has it shipped. they do have a website and can ship to you. they also will do their best to find a peice that ia exactly what you need to fill your space or match your other items. not cheap but highly recommended

Cupboards and Roses specializes in high end Swedish country furniture which epitomizes the strong beauty of Northern European design. The owner, Edith Gilson, has a marvelous eye for form and color and the shop is a perfect blend of traditional pieces in a modern setting. The result is a space of great grace and elegance. Ms. Gilson, during her yearly buying trip to Europe, chooses each piece with great care thus ensuring that her items are of the best quality. I can always count on friendly, knowledgable service from the staff. When I am in Sheffield, Cupboards and Roses is always a must stop.

Specializes in swedish furniture and clocks. Very pretty items that are very high end. Very helpful staff that got us info about the antique trail through Massachusetts down to Connecticut.

Swedish can be found for a lot less ( I’m actually of 100 Swedish decent ) and I find a New York dealer importing and buying on the cheap in Swedish countryside )then marking it WAY up is distasteful at best. I find it a shame to bring so much of a cultural heritage over here for profit just robbing these people of the past and history for a “ look “ when this woman is clearly not Swedish at all she seems to have a Brooklyn accent or something. The prices she is attempting to get are no where near what she paid these families. She really has no relationship to the pure culture and goodness these pieces represent. The sooner she closes the better . Perhaps the virus has good aspects after all ! The beauty and purity of Swedish antiques is tainted here you should not buy here you are completely missing the point of the simple beauty of Swedish culture and furnishings VERY SAD for me to have seen this .
