I'm afraid to leave this review because I don't want to spill the beans on my favorite hidden treasure in New Bedford. Circa is a vintage clothing dream. I always manage to find something special there. I've purchased a few incredible dresses between the change of location and the new spot is so full of lovely pieces. The whole place gives off a vibe I never expected for southeastern mass. Cool, hip, secretive, and really just so magical.

AMAZING vintage store. This is truly one of the best vintage stores I’ve been in. Even including all of the ones in New York. The inventory available is incredible. I literally could’ve spent all day in the store and still not gone through everything. The hours are a little odd so plan ahead but I promise if you love vintage it’s worth it super knowledgeable and friendly and chatting with him about my purchases.

My son and I stopped by Circa this past Saturday after a recommendation from a record store owning friend . It's a Gas !! The place is so discreet, if you blink you'll drive right by it !!! You open the green door to enter an entirely different era !! We couldn't stay long, we were pressed for time, but wanted to make sure we were able to find it. The gentleman ( Chris ? ) warmly welcomed us and let us browse without ' lurking' like so many other shop owners do. We didn't buy anything that day, SOOOO much to look through in so little time, but he was just as friendly when we left as when he greeted us !! We will surely be back when we have an afternoon to get lost in time !! Do yourself a favor and seek this place out...it truly is like no other place we've been !! TEN stars !!!

A fascinating, thorough, creative fortress hidden in the heart of New Bedford. I find it almost hard to believe this place exists. I've been to many vintage stores, but this place is on a different beat. It's like, Narnia. Chris's work goes beyond resale and trends, it's a full on emporium showcasing clothing from all people of all eras possible. Oh, and you're allowed to take the clothes home, too. My only 'critique' is that the store isn't marketed/ communicated in the most typical and clear fashion, I missed it my first time trying to come. There's no sign, and hours are slim and unwritten on the door. But less time into exposition makes thriving artistic magic possible. Just sorry to anyone who might miss it. Prices are chill, Chris is chill, and the droves of regulars and friends circulating the place are chill. Very special spot.
Thanks so much Hazel! Love your takeaway!
