What a lovely place to browse and shop! So many pieces of beautiful furniture and art. I did purchase a piece of art on the right side of the barn, and tried to make a purchase on the left. I had picked out several tiny books which were all marked with prices in the inside, as most books at thrift/antique stores are. When presented to the man working, he scoffed, almost as if he was insulted? He treated me like an idiot for expecting the books to be priced as they were actually marked. He thought they were too cheap and refused to sell them to me. I didn't put up a fight, the books weren't worth it. The experience left me with a bad impression of the place overall. I will definitely return, but will keep in mind that marked prices may not be honored at the register.

Usually the workers here are very kind, respectful and helpful but over the summer while looking at the jewelry, the cashier went behind me and stared. She made me feel very uncomfortable and acted as if I was going to steal something. She also laughed at me when I pointed out how I felt. She responded with: “ha!” I used to be a reoccurring customer, but I will never shop here again after that experience. Unprofessional and rude.
Hi Christina - I appreciate you letting me know of this issue. I apologize and feel great disappointment that you experienced this in my shop. I will speak to everyone who works at the front of the store and share your comments. If you should decide to stop in any time in the future I would like to apologize in person. Thank you for bringing this unacceptable behavior to my attention. Barbara Breaker
