Buy and Consign Waltham

This place really is incredible. I have no idea where they source this stuff because it’s always very cool vintage pieces in amazing condition. Their prices are more than fair. Shop some of the other consignment shops in this area and you’ll see how great their prices are. There is a blond woman who works here (I think she owns it or is the manager) and she is just as cool as the stuff they sell. She won’t put up with bull poo people who try to do dishonest stuff. About a year ago I saw someone try to buy something that had been sold and they must have removed the sold sticker and pulled a tag from another piece. She knew and was firm but held her composure and let them keep shopping. Today I bought a desk that had just come in. There wasn’t a price but there was a tag, I asked her if she could price it for me; when we walked over to it she said it had just came in. There wasn’t a price another couple looking at it and they really wanted it. You’d think she’d over price it because she had two people who wanted it. Now, this next part is as far from criticism as it gets. I was also buying some fire place tools and there was a piece missing, she had said if I could find the one that matched the set I could take it as a set. I bought it up from and told the girl that I wanted to buy it but I needed to find the missing piece, she had to verify I was told I could do that. The blond lady returned and said “I just told you it was going to take me a couple minutes to price the desk, please be patient, I won’t let anyone buy it”. She clearly thought I was asking about the desk, but she was again firm and professional. Now, that could have frustrated her (because she did just tell me that) and consequently increased the price of the desk as a result. Nope! She priced it at a very fair price even though she probably thought I was a jerk. I love her for that. She is very very kind but don’t mess with her or try to do shady things, she will know. The last time I was there I was there for an annoying long time looking at slides (which they have a viewer they’ll let you borrow. She was super cool then too. She was excited that I was excited about finding some great slide someone took probably 70+ years ago. She’s passionate about her work and knows her stuff. The place as a whole is just awesome. Beautiful interesting things at great prices and staff that know their stuff, are helpful and kind even if they think you’re impatient. I love love love shopping here. I promise you will too! Amazing selection, fair pricing, and kind staff!! We picked up a one of a kind couch here and are so excited about the find. Can’t wait to come back.

Best consignment store in the Boston area. My fiance and I have bought our armchair, sectional couch, desk, dresser, and shelves from here over the years. They have a great selection at really good prices. Their stuff gets marked down further every 2-ish weeks so you can get some really good deals if you're not picky. Or some nicer furniture at solid prices too. Seriously, we don't bother to go to other places in the area, we just come back every few months to see what has cycled in. There's parking in the back. They also work with a really nice guy who will transport your stuff for you in a box truck for a reasonable price. He's delightful. The staff who work at Buy and Consign are great too!

Like most such places, there are good days and bad. Have bought some great stuff at great prices there.
