Today my wife my 2 yo child and I were in Berlin and noticed they were giving free carriage rides on the corner by Pitts Street Antiques. So of course the line on the side walk was relatively long and went past the business in question. While waiting the owner came out in a belligerent manner and began ordering people to move away from his business stating that we were hindering people from coming in and that we have no idea how many people he loses business to because of this...but little did he know the few people that wanted to come into his building we actually held the door for including him when he came out to yell at us... this is not the way to talk to people or run a business. It's really sad honestly that he acted the way he did in public let alone to women and children....First of all the side walk is public property no one was blocking the door so he cant order people away.... second he probably gained a good bit of business because of the carriage rides being there because his business location is not the best it's off main street..third the town has given the permit for the carriage rides to be done there so I told him to calm down and take it up with the town not people in line to ride a carriage.....even after my wife asked him to calm down and speak nicely he still wanted to argue about it this is when I addressed taking up with the town... very sad to see such a friendly town like Berlin to get a tarnished reputation by the few bad eggs like this guy...ps he was so worried about losing buisness I know for a fact he lost all the buisness he could have had by me and the rest of the line that witnessed his behavior...If I could give a negative rating I would and I dont do this I dont bash but people need to know what they are dealing with... all he needed to do was to ask if we could make a gap to make it easier for people to enter....but apparently that's not who this guy is.... So sad.....
