I had bought a cut glass basket at this shop yesterday, 6/9/23, and I asked the man who took my order if he would keep the item at his shop for me to pick up later in the day, as the basket was heavy, and I had other shopping to do. He promised to wrap it for me and have it ready for me when I returned. The store was supposed to close by 5 pm. However, when I returned to the store at 4:30, it was closed with a sign saying that he would return at 4:45 pm. I waited until 5 pm for his return, even knocking on the locked door several times. Today, 6/20/23, I called and told him that his store had been closed when I returned to pick up the vase, and I asked him what we were going to do about it. (I live an hour away from Easton.). He yelled at me saying, "We are going to do nothing about it. I waited here till 5:30 and you never came." This was obviously not true, since I had waited there until 5 pm, even knocking on the locked door several times. I was furious, telling him that I will put a stop payment on the check. I believe that this man decided to quit work early, blamed his actions on me, and I am sure that he also also told his consigner that I had changed my mind about buying the item. I will not be shopping there again.
