Broussard describes finding everything from "real ball and Claw antiques to some great pieces that were NOT antique but solid wood" - all within her budget. The store's willingness to allow layaway payments in the past was also appreciated, as it enabled Broussard to furnish multiple rooms with furniture she still loves today.

Long ago I found Carroll Creek antiques after searching Frederick for antiques over the years and finding them high priced. Carroll Creek was a "hole in the wall" AWESOME antique shop that was full of old and newer furniture pieces at very reasonable prices. A little cramped as they have SO MUCH stuff in one moderately small shop, but a joy to investigate and hunt for your treasured piece. I got everything from real ball and Claw antiques to some great pieces that were NOT antique but solid wood and great pieces that allowed me to stay in my budget. They also allowed me to layaway my purchases ( not sure if they still do) , but it allowed me to get 3 rooms full of furniture I STILL love to this day and would not think of parting with. Want a great antique hunt? Check this store out. Don't forget about the upstairs, I found something almost everytime up there.
