Rick is a true craftsman who did wonderful work restoring all the cabinetry and molding of our 24 year old kitchen to make it look brand new. He was keen to perfect every detail, whether it meant entirely replacing a panel of one of our water-damaged cabinet fronts or adjusting the alignment of another at the last minute. He suggested other fixes to the kitchen that went beyond cabinetry as well, suggesting a new trash and recycling unit to us and then installing it on site. With a keen eye for color and design, he even helped me solve a separate decorating problem - and in so doing sold me on having him repaint our kitchen table and chairs. In a field rife with contractors who oversell and overcharge, Rick offers real value, honesty and talent for his craft. Our kitchen looks new again and we cannot recommend him highly enough.

Rick took on a new project by restoring our original 1951 kitchen metal cabinets. He was unsure about what type of paint would last and be easy to clean. He didn't charge us for any of the experimental paints, only the one in which he was satisfied. Rick takes great pride in his work. He is a man of his word and reasonable priced. We needed to get our old maple dining table (with leaf) refinished and stained from blond maple color to a darker, walnut color. We contacted 2 local companies, both with good reviews, and went with Refinishing Express in part because their estimate was almost half the other company, and Rick Rodriguez (the owner) came out with a box of color samples, examined the table carefully, and gave us an estimate over the phone based on photos we sent. He gave us excellent advice about colors to fit in with the rest of the room's decor. He finished a day early. I must say, they did a superlative job, with perfect coloring and finish. We highly recommend the company for any refinishing jobs.

Rick and his colleague are THE ABSOLUTE best! They literally transformed every piece we gave them. Rick is an excellent creative and an excellent communicator and business man. That is a hard combination to find. I reached out to someone else before Rick, but their pricing was 2x Rick's. Cannot recommend more highly!!!!
