Excellent service, results and communication. Three of our pieces (two of which are antiques; one Biedermeier and the other Victorian) were damaged in a recent move. Fabio, the owner of Arte Lepre, came to visit us to assess the damage and quoted in a very timely fashion. Once we gave the go-ahead to repair the pieces, he completed the work within two weeks (fairly substantial repairs) and brought the pieces back to the house. The pieces came back looking they had never been repaired. Perfect work! I highly recommend working with Fabio and Arte Lepre

Fabio did a wonderful job repairing a small piece of folk art I own. It was easily manageable, so I took it to his workshop, and met his father, visiting from Naples. Fabio is the real deal, and a wonder with wood.

I had a great experience with Arte Lepre. I recently brought in a handmade wooden side table that meant a lot to my family, but had unfortunately been damaged by water. Arte Lepre’s owner Fabio did a terrific job restoring the table, and he was delightful to work with. I’ll be visiting this shop again and highly recommend the restoration services to anyone searching.

Fabio has helped us with multiple pieces on a number of occasions. His work is exquisite. Fabio is very responsive and easy to coordinate with and we have no hesitation recommending him for any restoration or conservation work for any antique or family heirloom that you cherish.

Phenomenal service and results! I couldn't recommend Arte Lepre more highly. Fabio revived a family heirloom, a 200 year old desk, for us and we could not be more thrilled. He was able to recreate keys to lock the desk which have been lost for over 70 years. He also matched the veneer seamlessly (there were huge chunks missing and damaged over the years). Fabio exudes passion for his craft and the results show.

I had an excellent experience with Fabio’s work. I needed my armoire dismantled for a move—a highly specialized task—and Fabio handled it with exceptional skill. Beyond simply disassembling it, he offered to repair a broken shelf and replace a lock that had been missing for years. The shelf now looks as good as new, and the new lock is a perfect match to the original. Fabio is a true craftsman, meticulous and dedicated, who takes genuine pride in his work. He carefully wrapped each piece of the armoire and provided clear instructions to ensure it would be safely transported. Craftsmen like Fabio are rare, and I highly recommend his services.

Fabio Lepre is an artisan, and he has repaired or restored several antiques for me. He uses centuries old techniques that I've never been able to access in the U.S. before. He's a unicorn here, and we are lucky to have him in the area.

Wholeheartedly recommend Fabio and am genuinely excited to hire him to restore other treasured antique pieces that I own. Trust him fully. Fabio did a gorgeous job restoring a small antique bobbin side table I recently acquired. It looks so stunning!! I’ve included a couple of before and after photos. Pictures don’t do it justice: he transformed a worn side table into something that now would look completely at home in a Ralph Lauren ad :D. (This was exactly what we were hoping for.) His work exceeded all expectations. The table was previously pretty nicked up on top, and my husband and I wanted to give this piece a sleeker aesthetic to coordinate with other pieces in our living room (despite being a more rustic style oak table to begin with… so this required a bit of artistic license). I inquired about adding a French polish/lacquer finish, and Fabio spent extensive time discussing the project with me. We discussed varied finishes so that we could arrive at an optimal result. He even invited me to his workshop so that we could decide on a custom stain color together, and he demonstrated the process so that I could learn along the way and we could agree upon the approach. I was blown away by the traditional staining techniques and materials that he offered. The whole experience working with him was fantastic, and I feel truly fortunate to have been able to hire him for this project. Fabio is very friendly, professional and clearly possesses furniture restoration expertise that I imagine to be a dying art. I don’t know of anywhere or anyone else I could have gone to end up with such a phenomenal result for restoring antique furniture. He comes from a family of furniture restorers in southern Italy and it’s clear he has a true passion for this work. The table is now a beautiful rich, even and dark stain color exactly as we discussed. The hand-applied lacquer finish on top is absolutely stunning. He carefully refinished and beeswax polished all of the bobbin legs and artfully sanded both table surfaces, smoothing it but retaining the hand-sanded character of the table. (I wanted to retain certain elements so that it still had antique character rather than looked mass produced, and he did so very thoughtfully and with great attention to detail.) And his recommendation and artful eye for using a beeswax finish rather than lacquered polish finish across the rest of the piece was spot on. It looks fantastic all around. Restoring antique furniture is an investment, but I feel Fabio’s pricing is very fair given the labor involved and quality of work he provided. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire him to restore other investment and/or sentimental pieces I own. I know they will be in very careful and capable hands and that I will end up with an optimal result. I say this as someone who is very detail oriented and particular myself. Grazie mille, Fabio - thanks a ton! I will be back! 💜 🙏

I wish there were 100 stars! Mr. Lepre did a fabulous job on an antique parquetry lap desk. There were pieces missing which he duplicated and reglued. He is truly an artist. He is working on the interior, so I don't have a photo of the finished piece yet. When he is finished I will have some before and after pictures.
