Was curious because of the mixed reviews, and decided to check it out. Glad I did! I parked on the street but actually there was plenty of parking in the lot by the store. There was a nice atmosphere, people in and out, and good music playing. The prices seemed fair to me, some unique items cost more (which they should) and the sticker colors for deals were great. I spent less than $10 and am really happy with what I came away with. For context of stuff with higher prices: the things I noticed were a nice/new large macrame plant hanger for $45 and original art pieces around $60 (which they are worth). Art prints however seemed priced low (like $10-15) which is a deal to me. I wasn't looking at furniture so can't speak for that. Some areas of the store felt tight to walk through/crowded, which may not be everyone's cup of tea. I like a bit of a scavenger hunt feeling when thrifting. The store had plenty to look through in about 25 min, and wasn't overwhelming. Again, glad I came!

The new managers have really turned things around! I've been a long time customer of POB and have watched the place go through many transformations ever since the wonderful long time manager Barbara retired. It was really sad to see the main store go downhill in recent years and just look empty and sad (the furniture annex was always well managed and stocked but has since closed). Well, I stopped by a few weeks ago and there was a new manager in charge and the store looked wonderful, similar to the old days. There were many interesting antiques, knickknacks and furniture for sale at reasonable prices and the staff was friendly and kind. I was pleasantly surprised at the counter to receive extra discounts based on the price sticker color. I'll be stopping by more often from now on!

Always fun to visit and see what's new! Today I found a set of three rustic cow bells that look exactly like the Alpenhaus bells in their current catalog except that all three at PoBS cost less than the price of one in the Sundance catalog!
