Great variety a vintage toys especially Star wars. Things are fairly priced out and they have very friendly and helpful staff.

Easily one of the coolest stores I have ever been to. Was back in town for a weekend and wanted to get some cool collectibles. Owner was doing a generous sale and he had anything you could think of, Star Wars, Spawn, Transformers, DC/Marvel comic books the works. Things were priced I think fairly for any sort of vintage collectibles. 10/10 I will be back again.

I’m gonna be 100% honest with u guys. The place is dusty and the floors need to be vacuumed. I like the owner Marty and the second worker Mat who works with Marty but come-on guys clean the place up. vacuum the floors and clean the dust….

If you like digging for gold, you will likely find it here. Incredible variety and reasonable pricing. I could actually get lost in here for hours. Whatever kind of collectible toy you can think of, you can probably find it here. The inventory is constantly being refreshed as well so checking back regularly is a must.

I come here every 6 months to see what nice things they have. I love this place takes me back to the 90s. The customer service is above and beyond. Nice folks!

I went today on black friday and when i walked in everything felt great and nostalgic. Came in to a nice greeting and a wide section of vintage toys, figurines and games. The owner even was selling comics for 1$ but instead gave it to me for free

Awesome spot that will have you drifting on some memories. Lots of inventory from all aspects. A must for anyone.

Early in the summer of 2023 they put out around 100 long boxes of comics and sold them all for $2 each, then the next day the remaining books were reduced to 50 cents each. I found lots of great comics on both days and I bought more than 2 long boxes of issues. Then the next Saturday they reduced the price to 25 cents each! I was busy selling comics at a show that day, however they put out the remaining comics again on the following Saturday so I went back and I walked away with 2 more full long boxes! The owner provided free pizza from the nextdoor pizza place and free sodas to customers on the $2 and 50 cent days. On the 25 cent days there was free bags of chips and sodas.

I found some good deals on some graded comics inside the store as well. The store is frankly overloaded with stacks of action figures and toys still in their boxes. They also have a table with record albums, trading cards and collectible lego.

A very nice Vintage Toy Store with a large selection of Pop Culture items from the 60's, 70's, 80's 90's and today. All of the employees are very friendly and courteous, and seemed very knowledgeable about their inventory. Transformers, Star Wars, GI Joe, Star Trek, He-Man, Ninja Turtles, POP, Barbie, Marvel Legends, DC Multiverse, Pokemon, Voltron, Hot Wheels, Matchbox etc. You name it, its there. They also have an extensive eBay and Amazon store where items can be purchased and picked up in store for free. Store also features a large selection of comics in long boxes and records...that's right people... 45's, 33's LP's in boxes to search through, Baseball / Sports cards too. Very Nostalgic. Great place to spend some time....getting Lost in Time.

Lost In Time Toy Store is one is the best stores in the DMV area. I have sold them old toys for a fair price and bought awesome new toys and classic toys alike to make me children happy and my inner child happy.  They have a fantastic selection of new and old toys and their staff is always friendly, helpful and courteous. With the loss of Toys R US, it is the best option for anyone looking for toys or comics, new or old. I'd recommend checking them out!

Travel back in time to when you were 8 or 9 and this place will put a big smile on your face.  Great selection of old skool toys, comics, and other memorabilia.  If they don't have it from your childhood happy days, it wasn't cool.  Good times!

This place will bring any millennial back to their childhood. Very cool store. They have comic books (including dollar comics!) And many action figures, some legos, hot wheels and tons of star wars items. This place is a hidden gem in scaggsville.

Passed by this store all the time, always curious and finally had a chance to come in. It is amazing. It take you back, it's a vintage Toys R Us, filled to the brim with toys, collectibles, comics and more.

I loved it and plan on coming back from time to time.

I was able to pick up the 1st Appearance of Beta Ray Bill and I couldnt be any happier. Truly worth your time if you are an avid collector and are into pop culture. A true gem of a place. Also check out there ebay store!

My boys love coming and checking out pokemon cards and old toys. Going to this store is there weekly reward for working hard in school. I bought a vintage FP boat and my son plays with it everyday. Vinyl collection is also amazing. Very cool, nostalgic place. Definitely  worth visiting:)

A must go see if you're in the area. A great walk down toy memory lane. Interesting and timely selection. They had a great sale today so picked up a few things. For the comic fan, a really good selection of graded comics that will fit any budget. I almost, ALMOST too home this Optimus Prime piece.

I was looking for an alternative to Target for my kids to spend some birthday cash on a toy, and thought of this place which I passed frequently while driving on Rt.29 but had never visited. From the posted online reviews I wasn't sure if this store would be suitable for young kids (aged 2 and 4), or was primarily a place for adults to find retro collectable items.

So, while my family waited in the car, I popped into the place to check it out before unloading the kids. I voiced my concerns to the friendly man (Matt) at the register, and he took a few minutes to show me around the store at the options available for young children. When I asked if it would be a problem if the kids were fairly hands-on exploring and playing with some of the items, he said no - it was a toy store after all, and to be expected.

We decided to give it a try, and are glad we did. The kids really enjoyed browsing, and ultimately found two good sized vintage trucks (one Lionel brand new in box, another used but in excellent condition) which they have been playing with non-stop. Much cooler toys then they would have found at Target. I enjoyed seeing so many toys from my childhood as well.

There have been several reviewer comments about high prices. While we were not shopping for any high-demand collectible items, I thought the prices were reasonable, and was impressed that the little bit of pocket money the kids had to spend got them such nice toys. Matt also gave my kids a surprise at the end of the visit, which was extremely kind as well.

This is a great store! The owner has really gone out of his way to make it an amazing set-up. Customer service is great and all the employees that work there treat you like more than just a customer but get to know you and are very personal and caring. I highly recommend anyone who has heard of Lost in Time toy store but hasn’t had a chance to stop by, to come by and experience it for yourself. I know you won’t be disappointed.

One of the top 6 toy stores I have been to in the country.  The owner is super cool. Real personable.   Prices are on par with a collectable shop.  A good mix of vintage and new.

This place is amazing! I went here to find some father's day presents and found an incredible store I will definitely be going back to. There are toys, comics, trading cards, action figures, models, old records, and movies to name a few things. What makes thisnstore so unique is that their various collections go back decades. From toys my grandfather played with to hot wheels my brother grew up with in the 90s it's all here.

The only downside is the $1 comic section wasn't as organized as I would've liked. And not all of them are in sleeves. Other than that, I would highly recommend this store.

Definitely lives up to its name in that there is a HUGE variety of toys from then to now, even in its original packaging! Makes you reflect on your childhood and how toy collecting has grown to where it is now to where it’s a respectable hobby. The owner is very cool and friendly to his customers and you can tell he enjoys the job being that it brings joy to customers. I went there towards the end of the year with a family member to check it out, we drove out half an hr to see the store and we wanted to stay for the rest of the night there. They had things for him and I as we lost track of time and were amazed at the crazy amount of stuff and variety that was inside that rivals toy stores of the past. Toy stores are a dying breed unfortunately since the rise of the tablet/smartphone and kids don’t want toys but this is definitely worth checking out. 10/10, would check out again!

Very nice and friendly staff! There is a lot going on in the store and it’s not very organized. You can find a lot of good stuff for a decent price but the rare stuff is expensive. If you’re in the area and you like vintage toys you must check the place, you’ll surely find something you’ve been looking for !

They didn’t have the one specific thing I was looking for - but they have so much stuff to look through! One trip woild not be enough to sift through the vintage treasures there. Worth a stop!

This spot is pretty nice. There is A LOT to look at. If your into digging through stuff this is your place. They have a ton of option and I mean a ton. So much that it's a little daunting to look at everything but also you never know what you might come across.

Downside is it's a little pricey, I realize a lot of this stuff is vintage and you definitely don't see most of this stuff let alone all in one place but just make sure your not over paying before you buy.

Overall I think this place is cool and I'll definitely go back. It has stuff for everyone no matter what age or what your into.

A great collection of vintage toys and collectibles to newer stuff as well. I always visit when im in town.

Only downaide is the prices on many things. I saw alot of items that are priced higher than retail and still available. Other items that were retired and no longer available were still marked up way higher than they should be.

Third time here and they have expanded since my last visit. One of the employees Todd was very helpful and informative. Amazing selection of vintage toys and comic books. I left with 5 Incredible Hulk issues and plan to return to buy more and to bring in as many newcomers as I can. It's dangerous being so close to my office. Update 7/1/2023 They were having a 25cent comic sidewalk sale. Haven't been to one of these in years. Picked up a nice stack of books and got to talk to the owner and an employee. Great guys. 10/12/23 Still one of the greatest selection of vintage toys around. If they don't have it then it doesn't exist. Seriously they have a great store and if you are looking for the nearly impossible gift for a toy collector they probably have it.

Small and crowded, but has a plethora of older collectible toys in original boxes. They also have LPs, comic books, and 45 records worth a visit.

Love places like this. So nice to be able to go through the toys that were popular as I was growing up. I think the selection here is great although a little disorganized but tua5s the allure of these kinds of places because it feels like you are digging for treasure.

They had quite the selection of action figures and other collectibles. It was actually a wee bit overwhelming. Lol. To their credit, despite the store not being overly large, it was well organised and not crowded at all. A wee bit expensive in my opinion, but considering their location I suppose that is reasonable. I went with two mates, both of whom had been there several times before. I would go back again as well. My purchase is in the included photo.

Definitely a large collection of items. However, some of the items are way overpriced. For example, they have an used copy of Lion King on DVD for $38! Of course, some of their items are cheaper than you might expect. It really just depends on what you are looking for.

Wonderful staff, decent collection, but some of the prices are just outright silly.

Don't get me wrong, I was able to find some nice toys, but take this toy for example: a nobody character from one of the lesser popular Transformers shows that you'd find at dollar stores. He's not rare, he's not old enough to be vintage, and the toy itself is nothing to write home about. And yet, he is sold for more than 300% of his original price. The whole store is full of strange price choices like this.

Overall not a bad place if you're toy hunting, but definitely not a good on-a-budget visit.

Store has tons to offer from modern to lots of vintage stuff. Prices are way high especially for the amount of dust on literally everything. The store is also a mess. Need a really big overhaul, looks more like a hoarders place than store. Lower the prices to move some inventory and clean the place up.

Kinda hard to get to.  Lot's of vintage/retro collectibles in the store of varying quality but for the most part, pricing is not that good.  You can find better deals at similar stores with staff more knowledgeable elsewhere.

I have no idea where the positive reviews are coming from. The whole place is covered in dust, so if you’ve ever wanted to feel dirty in two minutes, come here. Every item, even the overstocked, low demand ones, are significantly overpriced compared to anywhere else. I asked about two items on a shelf and was told they aren’t for sale. Is this not a toy store?

They seen my messages about mix up in mail. I purposely contacted them on Messenger for proof they seen it. From the 30th til the 4th. They wouldn't contact me until Amazon contacted them. They did reimburse me but I had to tell them I'm legally im sending my proof you already had package back and ignored me. Pretty damn sad. You failed to put address and last name.

If I could give zero stars, I would...On July 9, 2022, between the hours of 4:00 and 5:00 p.m., my significant other (S/O) and 12 y/o child decided to visit Lost In Time Toy Store. My S/O advised that he and my son were the only two people of color in the store, and upon entry, they were followed around the store by a Caucasian male cashier. My S/O overheard another customer come into the business offering to sell the store some merchandise. My S/O sells children’s toys himself, so he went to speak with the other customer regarding his merchandise. At which time, the Caucasian male cashier, followed my S/O outside to chastise him for inquiring about the other customer's merchandise. Upon re-entry into Lost In Time Toy Store, the Caucasian male cashier requested that my S/O and child leave the store FOR NO REASON at all. Lost In Time Toy Store racially profiled, discriminated against, and harassed my S/O and child and asked THEM to leave. I contacted Lost in Time Toy Store on July 10, 2022 at exactly 1:00 p.m., when the store opened.  I made contact with the business owner and explained the situation, hoping that he would address the issue with his employee. Instead, he defended his employee and explained that he put my S/O and son out of the store because he was angry my S/O was inquiring about another customer's merchandise. That does NOT warrant being kicked out of a business. The owner subsequently tried to make this issue "go away" by patronizing us with a $100 gift card for use in his store. Why on earth would someone want to put money back into a business that kicked the individual out for no reason just one day prior? This is by no means a resolution. The cashier's actions need to be addressed rather than trying to throw money and merchandise at a problem to resolve it. I want to spread awareness regarding businesses that clearly do not welcome people of color, and instead discriminate against them.

I appreciate your review and as a brick and mortar store some of our price may seem a little higher. We cater to everyone not just the wealthy. We have customers all over the world. I think you should read some of our other reviews. I understand you have been to stores all over and i am sure they all range in costs of operating and what they buy things for which can effect how things are priced. Sorry it left a bad taste in your mouth.

A store not for real fans and collectors but rather only for the wealthy who don’t mind paying marked-up prices. I have been a comic and toy collector for most of my life and as such, I feel I have a good idea of the value of what I collect.  I have also travelled all over the country to dozens of stores, both buying and selling. I only mention this to indicate that I have some semblance of an idea of what I’m talking about. As many other reviewers have pointed out, the selection at this store is tremendous. The problem is the markup is ridiculous. For example, at the time of this review, an Age of Ultron Captain America Hot Toy can be had for around $500. This store was asking $750. Everything is also graded, which I know some collectors appreciate but to me it is a way of putting something in a case and artificially quadrupling its value. Of course, this area has many potentially affluent customers, but it really came across as a store that is not for the average collector. Things were priced either at the maximum end of their value or far beyond. I understand that this a business but it left a bad taste in my mouth. Look elsewhere. They have rare and valuable things, but they want too much for them.
