I made a donation to Diakonia on November 6th, 2024 that included a big bulky couch, ottoman with two matching pillows, and a large shelf that was fairly heavy. I also donated a box of household items which were contained in a box -- easy to move. I live on the fourth floor of a condominium building, so an elevator was required. The two gentlemen that came to move these items were the most polite, friendly, hardworking, and pleasant workers I have encountered in some time. They were both very respectful of my property. One gentleman was an employee of the store and the other gentleman was a volunteer. These two men worked efficiently and carefully, making suggestions for future reference in terms of handling some of my other property. I would HIGHLY recommend this donation source to anybody needing help with their personal items in the future. I felt completely comfortable with these two men in my condo and would happily have them come back at any time. Also, my initial contact was with Dawn who very quickly approved my items for donation after reviewing the pictures I had sent her. She called me back quickly, and scheduled an appointment for pickup the following week. This experience with this company was 100% positive from the very beginning through to the end. I will positively call them in the future for any other donations I have for their charity.

Diakonia Thrift Store is a place to shop, where you can find special treasures at great prices! The clothes and Knick knacks are so reasonably priced, you can’t beat it! Trying to loose weight, great place to buy the next size down and not break your budget👍👍

The Diakonia Thrift Shop has great clothes at amazing prices. Check in often for great finds on furniture too, which goes quickly as they price pieces to move. The volunteers and staff and friendly and helpful. All proceeds help support Diakonia programs for the needy.
