Pretentious
I am sorry you found us pretentious, I do not even remember interacting with you,but if I offended you in some way I do apologize. We do have beautiful antiques which I adore, but we have a clientele that is broad and interesting, everything including schoolteachers, lawyers, academicians to young folks from the banking and investment sector and I've never had anyone call us pretentious before (and being in business 52 years that is saying something). They have a love of fine quality and an interest in the history and development of design through the ages, but I dont think that makes them pretentious or us pretentious.
