Wonderfully curated store with unique and tasteful pieces. Shannon was exceptionally helpful in navigating this space of vintage furniture. My wife loves their perfume as well!

MALOFTA is one of the most visually arresting and profoundly inspiring spaces I have encountered in Ann Arbor. What began as a small but exceptionally curated store—once tucked away in a compact space on the top floor of Kerrytown—has since transformed into a remarkable destination for design, now occupying a striking location on the first floor. While mid-century Scandinavian pieces feature prominently, the store also embraces a range of styles, creating a harmonious blend of eras and aesthetics. Today, MALOFTA presents an expanded collection of vintage furnishings, thoughtfully selected clothing, and a carefully chosen selection of new items, all characterized by a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and organic forms. Yet, beyond the beauty of its collection, MALOFTA is shaped by the extraordinary journey of its owner—an individual whose love for vintage furniture and design, coupled with unwavering humility, has transformed what might have been an ordinary shop into one of Ann Arbor’s most luminous spaces. There is something deeply moving about stepping into MALOFTA, where every object tells a story, every corner invites contemplation, and every visit reaffirms the quiet yet radical belief that beauty can be found everywhere.

Extremely cool little store, full of interesting retro pieces with surprisingly reasonable prices. (I’ll never buy but will always admire the concrete bananas.)

I love this store - I've been in a number of times now and the owner, who is lovely, always has the store styled with beautifully curated vintage art, clothes and homewares. They also have a fun variety of candles, perfumes, incense, jewelry and accessories from small businesses. Such a great addition to Kerrytown, I hope Malofta is around for years to come!

I personally have become a collector of goods from this shop. The owner curates the nicest selection of furniture and homewares one could buy in Ann Arbor. Everything is a unique treasure. Perfect place to find a gift for someone with fine taste. The clothing racks have some real gems too, always something new. Best store in Kerrytown
