Nestled in the heart of Ann Arbor, Michigan, The ShareHouse is a beloved thrift store that offers customers a truly unique shopping experience.

According to reviews, The ShareHouse boasts an impressive and ever-changing inventory, with customers describing it as "the most comprehensive thrift store" they've ever seen. Reviewers rave about the wide selection, which includes "games, books, clothes, pins, bags, kitchen stuff, baskets, stationery, furniture, room decor, an old firefighter suit, Van Gogh paintings, vintage typewriters, record players and records" - truly a treasure trove of unique finds.

The store's staff also seems to play a significant role in the customer experience. Reviewers highlight the kindness and helpfulness of the employees, particularly a gentleman named Mr. Mike, who is described as "incredibly kind and such an amazing person." Other staff members are praised for their willingness to negotiate prices and provide a personalized shopping experience, even for international travelers.

While some reviewers note that the store can be a bit "grimy" and "maze-like," they emphasize that the joy of the hunt is part of the charm. As one customer eloquently states, "If you are willing to get a little grimy and let it be a treasure hunt, then it's such an amazing place." Another reviewer advises, "if you have more time than money...this is the place for you!"

The store had so much. The most amazing part of the visit was the gentleman who worked there. Mr. Mike is incredibly kind and such an amazing person. Thank you so very much for everything Mr. Mike.

Dont listen to the bad reviews. This place is awesome, I just bought a very good silverware set and a set of high quality plates for like 20-25 dollars total. The prices aren't marked on most things, but the prices are typically so good that you don't need to worry about it. It's a little cold inside, but wear a sweater or a coat. This is a great place if your just getting started and want to get some basic stuff for a new home.

I absolutely love this place! I have been many times and have always had a wonderful experience. Everyone is so helpful and kind. While most things are not priced the ladies at the front usually give great deals you can’t pass on.

This place is what a thrift store should be. I am in town from Bay City and I was amazed at the selection. There was so much to see and the prices were also very reasonable. I will be back!

I found the staff to be cheerful and welcoming. Also there was a 50% off sale going on on many items. It's worth of walkthrough or if you just like to go junking.

The most comprehensive thrift store I've ever seen! My mom says she'll never buy anything new again, she'll come here and pay pennies for it. Absolutely anything you could need with kind staff and a great cause!

We are international travelers and went to the store at our son’s recommendation!!! So glad we did. Susan was an absolute delight, when she learned we are from India she welcomed us & indulged us no end. We will definitely visit on our subsequent trips back. Thanks Susan!!

There’s so many negative reviews on here I thought I’d leave my own two cents— My siblings and I have been shopping at the Sharehouse for the last four years. It has never disappointed us— because we never go in with expectations. If you are willing to get a little grimy and let it be a treasure hunt, then it’s such an amazing place. Games, books, clothes, pins, bags, kitchen stuff, baskets, stationary, furniture, room decor, an old firefighter suit, Van Gogh paintings, vintage typewriters, record players and records… it’s all there if you spend time lookin for it. The staff can be gruff, but let’s be real. They’re sorting through so much stuff every day and keeping the place as nice as it can be. I might not recommend bringing smaller kids there cause it is a bit of a maze, but besides that I think the Sharehouse is a gem in Ann Arbor. You never know what you’re going to find and sometimes that’s the best part.

Yes it is a flea market, so if you have more time than money...this is the place for you! If you don't like the prices, as them to lower them. This is a business, and they need income to function...the bottom line is THEY WOULD LIKE TO SELL EVERYTHING THEY HAVE! So go get everything you need at a discount, but be prepared to spend more time there to check out, search and negotiate.

Would take away two stars for the repeated treatment of one employee. If you plan to make a quick stop before closing, don’t waste your time. You’ll be ushered to the checkout twenty minutes before close. Somewhat kindly at first, then not so much. Would recommend they change their business hours if you’re not allowed to shop until close. Otherwise, I love the iSpy type shopping experience that the ShareHouse provides.
