Great place to find lightly used quality furniture, PC and outdated lab equipments.
Their offer of thrown away office furniture is of better quality than those in math department. Most items are also lightly used (unlike those in math department)
The PC frequently costs less than the CPU alone when compared against eBay. You can even pick up a centrifuge for 10 bucks, hplc for 20 bucks. Now you only need a PhD in chemistry to actually use them.

One stop shop for used office furniture and supplies. Good quality chairs, tables, desks, cabinets. They also have electronic items such as monitors, speakers, projectors, etc.

Excellent deals on used items from the University of Michigan.  You can’t be sure what you’ll find when you go. Anything from filing cabinets and furniture to computers and old hospital equipment.  Last time I was there I bought an old projector that I really needed for $50, an old electric pencil sharpener for $5, and a like-new decorative pillow that some student must have abandoned in her dorm room.  I doubt you’ll be able to find these things again (well, of course not because I already bought them) but you never know.

If you're a techie and like bargains on strange scientific instruments this is your place. I go here when I'm in Ann Arbor just to see what strange and wonderful things they have. You really never know what you will find. I've bought computers and power supplies. I've seen metal working tools... You name it and they will probably have it there sometime. They Also  often have office furniture at good prices.

I purchased two Haworth office chairs for a dollar each. I looked online the same chairs retail for 800 dollars.  Cleaned then up with some soap and water and are in my office. Great deals can be had if your timing is right.

Gently-used 22" monitor, headphone amplifier, cables, and a funky biohazard tray. Staff can be helpful - but you gotta ask.

The system to shop here is a little complicated and mostly online.

They don’t really ensure the quality of the things that you purchase

so I consider it a type of gambling to buy stuff from here.

That said you can get some pretty good deals so it is good for what it is.

Great price if you can find thing in working order. And lots of things I have no idea what's for.  There were many chairs, tables light fixtures, file cabnets, computers, and more. Theb there were 25hp 3 phase ac motor, fizzy drink dispenser, centrifuge, and other odd stuff.  I was able to get a laptop with i7, 8gb, and 400gb ssd for about half of ebay average price.  Will be back for more.  Minus 1 star for messy area.

Some fantastic deals, but their inventory depends on what other University departments send them, so searching can be a little hit-or-miss.  Good deals on computers/peripherals and furniture are usually available, so be picky.

Never know what you may find at a good price.

You can find bargains if you look. Be sure to check back frequently as inventory changes quickly. Make sure you test things thoroughly  before you buy.

A lot of used items here at great prices. It's not very well organized, though - you have to search through every shelf in every aisle to see what all is available as there was no publicly available inventory I could find. Quality is poor on Several items I saw (they are used, after all, and heavily I'm sure in the academic setting, before they end up at Property) with no return policy and no guarantee that I could see of functionality.

Several items were sold while I was looking around, with a slight delay in marking the item, so be quick if you want to purchase something!

Not accommodating at all, won't hold paid product while a U-Haul is gathered to take stuff away. Lies about how long items will be around for, I was told items were being recycled and buy today but were still present a month later.

I was excited to look around but was surprised when I showed up and there is no in person shopping. Online it says open it would be helpful if this was specified more clearly. When I am looking for used furniture I would much rather see what I am buying in person.

MSU property disposition is run much better than this. They have pictures of the stuff, prices posted and online shopping. UM on the other hand is trying to sell stuff sight unseen using silent auctions ever since the pandemic.

Yea cheap stuff, but the people that work there a pretty unpleasant and seem annoyed that you are there.

Bid system & prices are a joke. Post pandemic they have still not opened to in-store shopping (as of May 2023). Which seems lazy and conceited. It's probably cushy for the employees now not having to actually run the store.

Pretty much a junk yard.  Went there looking for a monitor and a chair. Monitors were either too expensive or useless. Chairs were all broken.
