Love, Love, Love! City Antiques is a must for anyone visiting Grand Rapids! Their selection is incredible of jewelry, antiques, old photos, and so many other items. The staff is wonderful, and the owner Sherri is so amazing. She helped me get started on a project I've been wanting to do for months. (Decorating my house with historical photos) Not only was she super knowledgable about their pieces, she's so kind! I can't say enough about how awesome this business is! <3

This place is a Gem. Great selection for all types of consumers. We went in looking for boutique style things for my wife and I came out with some very good primitives, mid century and early turn stuff at a great price. The owner was phenomenal, she took time out of decorating and meeting with her staff to run through pricing, item history, negotiating, and we left getting great deals and will go back again. I am confused by the negative reviews here, there is no way they are referring to the people I met and worked with. Go and see them; tell them Jay from Cincinnati says hello, thank you again, and see you again soon.

I found this place online by searching antique stores near me, it was the closest one at around 35 minutes away. It also appeared to open the earliest on Sundays which is the day I decided to go. On google it says it opens at 11AM. I had no reason to expect otherwise. I get there at around 12PM and the doors are shut and nobody is there. The hours on the door say, "Sundays: Sometimes". There's also a sign that reads something along the lines of "If we're not here come back later". Um.....? OK. It was pretty awkward. Not to mention frustrating because I took time out of my day to go here. Luckily, it's situated on a street with several other Antique/Vintage shops that I was able to take my business to. I have no idea if this place is nice inside or not but I'm definitely not going back to find out. If you want to go this establishment I'd suggest not going on Sundays. And I'd suggest to the owners to at least update their hours online.

I walked in on a Saturday evening at 5:30p because the open sign was on and the door was open. I walked in to these 3 very rude individuals who stared at me and proceeded to all say how they were closed. I said ok, then why is your sign on and just turned around and walked out. Maybe you should have real hours posted on your door instead of some sarcastic comment about "maybe we'll be here". Unfortunate because the 3 seconds I was in there I was excited about what they had. Lost a customer before they had one.
