Very cool thrift store, has lots of cool things. Very well priced. Construction in the area makes it hard to find, but it’s there!

They are always friendly helpful and courteous. I love the first Saturday of the month half off sale.

Lots of cute shoes & dresses + so much more (not to sound like a commercial but my daughter and I loved thrifting here).

There's a new person at the helm and you can tell by how open and clean it is. Very organized and easy for anyone to access especially handicap. As usual the staff was helpful and courteous. Found a bedside table for $20 it would have cost me $120 online and I would have to put it together. The staff placed it in my vehicle. Bathrooms aren't open yet.

The staff is genuinely caring, and the store supports a crucial ministry in Kalamazoo.   It is my favorite thrift store.  They used the time while they were closed due to covid-19 to majorly reorganize and clean the store.  I am so appreciative of this store and its employees.

I love to go shopping here on Saturdays every clothing item is only a dollar.and on Wednesday. I get all kinds of compliments on my clothing and this is the only place I shop at I love this.Saturday's no longer dollar days but all tops still come to a dollar and pants are now $2

I bought a pair of shoes here awhile back that didn't have any tags or information on the size, I thought that they looked like my size but they've rubbed my left foot raw causing an infection and swelling to set in ... I don't have the receipt anymore but is there any way that I could bring them back and exchange them for a different larger pair?

Was able to purchase sum items at a good price as other items are way over priced was also approached by two individuals looking for money homeless that weren't suppost be in the store

I like going there on half off day which is the first Saturday of the month because most of the things I'm looking for are usually overpriced.

I like going to this thrift shop due to it's convenient downtown location and the VARIETY available. Prices are pretty AWESOME, as well.

I went here today to donate an old suit jacket and was treated very rudely since apparently they aren't currently accepting donations on days other than Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Instead of politely explaining that to me , he demanded me very rudely and aggressively to get out of there. I pointed this out to him to be more respectful and he refused to change his tone. I would guess he is probably an unpaid worker that lives at the Mission, but that is no way to treat people trying to donate to your organization.  I still have great faith in this store and the work done by Kalamazoo Gospel Ministries. I will be back and understand, it just really bothered me at first but I am over it and hope maybe I will have another interaction with that man some day and try to have a constructive, respectful conversation.

I love this store, I just found two awesome shirts in there today I did the price one with Under Armour and the other was Nike!

Not much of a selection for me. But always a nice place.

It may be a bit run down looking, but they have great stuff inside. I bought 3 pairs of brand new plus sized (sz 32) jeans for $12!! I recommend checking it this place. The cashier was great too.

Nice used merchandise for sale at very reasonable prices from clothing to household goods and more. Workers could use some customer training though.

Excellent prices on funiture and they provide delivery for a low fee.

It is a local jewel in kalamazoo not only does the proceeds go to help the homeless but they continuously provide rescued items donated by caring people. I love this place.

This store was built probably with the best intentions to serve the  "thrifty" shopper, but I know from first hand experience that a lot of the best merchandise that is donated never sees the light of day on the showroom floor to even get sold. It's kept in the backroom and saved for the employees to take home or given to their friends. Pretty despicable! Other than that little fact, shopping here like most thrift stores is hit and miss.

Variety of different items used and new. Some donated items could use some cleaning before put out for sale.

Though this isn't the nicest store in Kalamazoo, as others have said,  the store's profits go straight to the people it is designed to help.  Some of the people helping in the store are homeless people that live at the gospel mission, the stores sister organization.  Which is more than other, more comminly known thrift stores do (that claim to help the poor).

I typically like to shop in a nice second hand but my horrible experience as for a man had been approaching myself numerous times in which I was personally invaded with the not only fact that he was coughing something fierce around me and kept coming up to me made me extremely uncomfortable as for the big fact that I am of a selection of people not allowed to be vaccinated for covid my anxiety was risen and not caring about masks are not exactly a safe place for myself...well I am not even ever want to step foot in the place again.

I have gone in there for years to buy blankets for my dogs and this has been the worst  experience  I have ever had I will not ever go back there again.  I got up to the cash register  and asked the cashier  how much are the blankets she gives me a price I said ok she rung them up i paid then this other women comes up ask the cashier  how much she charged and said thats not right made a big issue was rude to the cashier and then said I had to pay the difference  between  the original  price  I was charged and what she said i should have paid.  The transaction  was already done  this was very unprofessional and I will not go back ( the price the second  lady had me pay was way overpriced  for a second hand store). I will encourage  anyone I know not to go there or donate there.

This is the most disgusting store I have seen under any circumstances.  Every cloth in there is dirty and stained with God knows what on them.  And the fact that I got yelled at and smacked over a ten cent pin I touched that wasn't even behind the counter, tells me that any "unbalanced" psycho can work there.  It's unbelievable that this place continues to stay open, no matter what good it's for. Nasty people, and ridiculous prices are enough to deter any sensible person.

The lady at register makes up prices.  Tries to by kids books from the kids section and she said they were not from that section.  Asked about a loom and the lady quotes me price off the internet.  Then tells us to come back the first Saturday for the half off.

I’ve donated to the Gospel Mission for years, but recently shopped there for the first time and won’t be back.
I understand they use the profits from the store to support this mission which is wonderful, but they also serve low income shoppers who may not know that they are paying MORE than retail for some items. $1.50 for items that came from the dollar tree? $25 for a USED pair of shoes? Well used bakeware that can be purchased new at Meijer for $.50 more?
When you have to put up a sign that says “Don’t harass the cashier about the prices” you are probably charging too much.
I find it predatory and I’m looking for a new place to donate our used items.

The staff and the volunteers are rude and the store is over priced for a second hand store.

Dirty and some things could use a good cleaning before being donated. They really should have some kind of security here.

I understand that this is a thrift store but a lot of their clothes are stained or dirty. Not a great selection at all. Everything is just thrown together.

Kendell at rescued  treasures fired me on 10-17-16 for discussing the bible with a donation customer. the following was the incident: (first the customer was all happy talking with one of the former workers at the mission = black under 6' tall he comes in to talk with us at the mission store a couple times a week, I think he has a factory job not Kenny although Kenny comes in daily & always talks to us. Kendell, Ryan, Tim & the rest of us always talks of what we believe with the bible included with No gag order in place)

Here is why Kendell fired me on 10-17-16 at 10am: first off the customer was fun to talk to & he donated a puzzle that was put together of Jesus standing before the world trade center with the 2 towers still standing so I made the comment "where was he (Jesus) where was he b4 or on 911? the customer says yeah maybe he should have been there then I said yeah more then 3000 people lost there life that day then I further stated Jesus must been on vacation because it had a way bigger impact on the USA then just that day were 3000 men, women, kids & babies lost there life right here on american soil & even in the big apple NY (where was GOD!) the customer kinda agreed with me so I had to mention Adolf Hitler

Adolf Hitler: how GOD & Adolf Hitler are the same in aspect's to murdering people: men, women, children & babies innocent people & animals accept Adolf Hitler would NEVER harm an animal & GOD treats animals like they are plants & GOD has a who cares mentality when it comes to innocent animals that is a FACT!

back to my discussion with the customer: he brought a puzzle that was put together & made to hang on the wall. the picture showed a white Jesus before the world trade center in all his glory (before 911 with the 2 towers standing). I saw that & said yeah where was he (Jesus) before 3000 people died that day, the customer agreed with me kinda then said something that's in the bible then I pointed out Adolf Hitler & God are the same in FACT (by the bible) & the FACT (by our USA history books) that Adolf Hitler killed millions as God killed millions but way more then Adolf Hitler & the FACT they both NEED & WANT world denomination, Adolf Hitler was unsuccessful as God is unsuccessful even to this day. it will never happen & will NEVER happen as long as free will exist.

I discussed this same theory with Tim but without the picture & he got bent out of shape & later said he should NOT have said what he said to me, I told mim it's perfectly understandable what he said to me (Tim had a child of his die! it's vary personal to Tim as it is with me (basically he would have fired me if he could but then he knew he was WRONG, I knew he was WRONG for the simple fact it's a discussion & we are in NO WAY placing harm on each other).

They both (Tim, Kendell & Rayen) have a big problem with how I view things & why because they have NO proof & I show proof of what I say, they can't accept the REAL TRUTH even the bible itself backs what I have to say about the BAD part of the bible that almost ALL people over look & try to twist it so it's not that bad.

Kendell never even gave me a warning & after Kendell said he had no use for my kind at the store I said I would not do it again if that is what he wanted = discuss my beliefs & proven understands of the bible & life period in effect putting a gag order on me & others (that have no clue of why or what they say) as ALL courts do. I asked Kendell to write a brief summery of why Kedell told me to leave the store before he signed my MMP slip, he said for the mission to call him I said ok cuz I was going right over to the mission right then so I did.

One more thing: this is Crap & not lawful pay or no pay: I was TOLD to leave the store & for John to take over what I was doing because of my beliafes, that is the FACT here.
