Tim's warehouse is a treasure-trove of midcentury design, and his ability to thoughtfully restore or renovate - and give honest input as to whether you should consider that or leave pieces showing their natural age - helps elevate him above other antique furniture stores. He's knowledgeable, friendly, and enthusiastic, and we've never felt pressured to buy. What we've particularly appreciated is his eagerness to embrace items beyond just those by the "big names" of the period, which definitely helps when you're looking for timeless design but don't necessarily have an open-ended budget. We've bought multiple items from him, and never been anything other than pleased about each.

When a friend was relocating to Kalamazoo MI. I researched the area for places of interest. It was truly serendipitous since my friend had acquired a Norman Carver home and Tim had just completed a wonderful book on Norman Carver. Since then I have kept in touch and am always intrigued by Tim’s wonderful acquisitions. He has an exceptional eye. And his space is a treat to visit. I highly recommend visiting in person or at the very least keeping an eye out for wonderful pieces on his site . Thank you for your wonderful service.

Trystcraft has a warehouse full of beautiful and hard to find pieces of mid century furniture and design. I bought a rare Plycraft chair from him a while back at a very reasonable price. Tim is easy to work with and has a wealth of knowledge in mid century design and architecture, especially local michigan architecture. If you are looking for an accent piece, a full room, or are just a modern design addict like me, call Tim to set up a visit or check out their inventory online.

I was so happy to stumble upon this unique warehouse full of fabulous mid-century modern furniture that is hidden in Kalamazoo. Tim was so accomodating to my available time-frame to visit his warehouse. I purchased an amazing vintage couch and he was kind enough to store it for a few weeks while my remodeling project was finished and then delivered it at no extra charge. In our disposable society, it is great to see someone masterfully restore vintage pieces so they can be appreciated for years to come.

We wanted a mid century modern recliner or rocker for our nursery. Trystcraft had the perfect chair for us. Delivery was free and Tim even helped carry it into the bedroom.

Super rude highly pretentious think twice about doing Business with them.

Sold us a chair that was was missing critical internal pieces, and would not allow us to return the chair for a refund. They were also rude and defensive when we called to explain the chair was broken. So either this store knowingly sells broken furniture, or cannot tell the difference. Either way, we won’t be buying from them again, and you should think twice.
