This is a great place to shop cards. The staff are always really helpful and kind and the prices fair in my opinion. The place is very clean and welcoming, full of cool stuff for us nerds. We probably go at least once a week to snag something!

I primarily shop online, so I'm not familiar with the in-store experience. However, this hobby shop has certainly impressed me with their competitive prices, prompt turnaround, and meticulous packaging and shipping. They are one of the few hobby stores in the Midwest that consistently stocks Mr. Color's Aqueous Hobby Colors, which has been a significant draw for me. My only suggestion for improvement would be to expand their paint selection, as it can feel somewhat limited at times. Nevertheless, they typically carry all the essential colors I need. I highly recommend this website for any hobbyist, especially those in the Midwest, as they cover a good range of needs and ship extremely quickly—a nice change of pace!

Galactic Toys is the best gaming store in the area, they have so much to offer in terms of table-top, TCG, and hobbyist toys. Staff is very welcoming and helpful, and the location is great as well. 10/10 highly recommend!

If you like games, pokemon,  trading cards,  hello kitty, jujutsu kaisen, magic the gathering, Gundam,  or are just interested in seeing an epic collection of all the things this is the place.  This is the best I've seen out of New York and the best part is they have tables for friends to meet and play,  as well as events and gatherings.  This isn't your little kid toy store (but bring your kids,  they will want to get a gashapon)

Pretty cool place to hang out and look at toys. They have a wide variety of board games that I have never seen in my life, but I would love to try. They mostly carry more "nerdy" items such as Gundams, anime figures/items, and DND stuff.

Massive selection of clectibles like cards, figures, board games, etc. This is one of my go-to spots for anything  collector related. They have fair pricing for the most part, and the staff are very noligable and helpful. They host a lot of events that I've never personally participated in, but I'm sure they're fun.

If I could give this place 20 stars, I’d do it. Bar none, this is easily the biggest card game and gunpla store I’ve ever been to. MASSIVE selections of gunpla, and tons of Pokémon and general anime figures, plushies and cards. If you’re visiting out of town and never been here and are an anime fan, this is a mandatory mark on your to-visit list

Great selection, awesome atmosphere. Didn't hangout and play but there was plenty of place to if i had time. The staff were also really helpful.

Just wish they gave box toppers with a free (cheap quality) sleeve to protect it on the way home. Carrying the raw card home was a little concerning, but it made we safe.

I just got my stuff in the mail today. Good deal. Great prices. They pack the items well. I will be ordering again when I get a chance. Shipping was a little slow. It did take almost 2 weeks to get the items but in fairness I did place my order right after Christmas and I know the weather hasn't been great.

I absolutely love this place. I accidentally found out about it when I was at the restaurant next door. My flight was the next morning so I couldn’t spend much time but I will definitely be going back there next time I’m in Michigan. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Such a cool store to find toys and collectibles that you can't find at your usual department stores (Target, Meijer, Walmart). I was immediately flooded with childhood memories while browsing the aisles. From seeing Pokemon cards I use to collect, to seeing Gundam model kits, this place has almost everything you could ask for.

A great place to purchase sh figuarts and amazing Yamaguchi; the Madara Uchiha figure was a steal because some sellers on amazon are listing it FOR OVER $400. Please visit the store before considering online purchases.

It's quiet, respectful atmosphere is good for kids.  Best prices for card events in grand rapids.  LARGE collection of figurines/models and the owner can get it fast if he doesn't have what you want in stock.  Staff is knowledge able on most games and willing to play but still prioritize costumers who are shopping over playing a game themselves.

Bought Pokemon cards in packs and individually.  They have bulk cards for cheap.

They host Pokemon tournaments and pre-releases.  They also have Saturday events for kids to hang out, trade, and play (not officially).

It's a much larger place to play, but it can get packed easily.  We've left once because it was too much, but been back dozens of times without an issue.

Things are polished more and kept a little more ridged, but it depends on what you're looking for.  All in all, a great place.

Great atmosphere and can find some good deals on singles for cards here and there. The staff are super friendly and helpful and I like how they do magic nights and how you can browse the commons, uncommon, cheap rares and stuff in boxes. I just don't like how much more they charge for mtg commander precons and other stuff and so I refuse to spend 25 dollars or more when I can just go to Walmart and get it for that much more cheaper.

They don't have a lot of older material but for newer collectable figures and games this is a solid stop, especially if you play Magic: The Gathering

Friendly staff, areas for tabletop gaming with regular meetups, some to play, some to work on characters, scenery, etc. What can best be described as a large selection of everything covers all shelves. Magic and Warhammer are the two local favorites according to staff, find them on Facebook for specific days and times as it varies somewhat. I'd recommend accessing the parking lot via 29th street to avoid any hangups on 28th street. Easy business to spot, lots of parking.

Update: They gave me a 30% refund due to unable to give a replacement. I accepted it since I can't find anything online. They were very helpful.

Hi, we only purchase Pokémon product from official distribution channels.  However, I agree that production runs need to be increased by the pokemon company to meet market demand and get prices in check.  All retailers are facing massive allocations to orders due to demand.

Greeeedy greedy greedy boy this is not the way or spirit in which to sell a toy. Taking advantage of locals and stealing up the only places to get them buy out targets and more. I’ll never give them a dime. Kids can’t even get them cause these jerks buy them up and making it so competitive kids can’t buy kids cards anymore this makes Pokémon distasteful. There’s a circle in hell reserved just for these guys. Pokémon also is aware and will release more prints of these sets so wait don’t buy from these jerks more cards will come out and undercut their market.

Glorified scalpers, this card store wants to charge three times MSRP on prismatic evolution, a set that's been out for 4 months...I took it apon myself to inform Pokemon company through an email about this store charging three times over MSRP & I pray they lose their vendor license or something along those lines, or this review reaches the masses, DO NOT FEED THE SCALPERS, YOURE JUST AS BAD AS THEM IF NOT WORSE, the owner sleeps well at night selling to little kids at 3 times over the suggested retail price, cornballs destroying the hobby.

I received these $60 GOD HAND clippers to use on plastic as a Christmas gift from my brother, and they BROKE in less than THREE MONTHS with regular use. For a $60 tool, that’s completely unacceptable. I've had cheap $10 clippers last for YEARS – these didn’t even make it to spring.

The clippers were sold by Galactic Toys and Games but fulfilled by Amazon. When I contacted Galactic Toys and Games for help, they basically washed their hands of the issue and told me to contact the manufacturer. Well, the manufacturer’s website is entirely in Japanese with no English contact info – so in other words, I’m completely out of luck.

Galactic Toys and Games sold this garbage product, took the money, and then refused to take any responsibility when it broke. If you sell a product, you should stand behind it – plain and simple. Terrible product, even worse customer service. Shame on Galactic Toys and Games for treating customers this way. Save your money and buy from a company that actually backs up what they sell. 👎👎👎

The prices here have always been mid, but now with the newest set of Pokemon PE charging over double MSRP for items is ridiculous. The owner has always been money hungry, surprised it took this long to become the storefront scalpers they are.

Long time patron here, stopped by to confirm some recent reviews. While said reviews are spot on, I'll add that Galactic's pricing on trading card games is nothing short of delinquent these days. It's not even close to a reasonable nod to the secondary market or any claim to stay competitive, It's just greed.

If the owners owned a chain of gas stations, I imagine they'd charge 20 bucks a gallon whenever the latest war hits. I bet they'd charge 10$ for a 4$ scratch off too if their mother told them they saw a socialite win big on some stream on Facebook live scratching tickets.

If there is no place else left to find your high demand tcgs at a reasonable price, stop by, just be prepared to be taxed severely.

At least the people working the retail front are good people trying to do their best to serve what community they have left.

This place has turned into store front scalpers. They care only about their bottom line, selling new product well above MSRP.  When you ask them about their practices, they say they're selling at "market" value despite knowing that the current market is heavily manipulated.  They've put profits above their regular customers.

If you actually care about your hobby, I would look elsewhere for product and refrain from rewarding profiteering.

Business owners are unethical. Any product here is listed well over msrp. Lorcana set 1 boxes $387 starter decks were $60. Now pokemon prismatic your charging above tcgplayer prices. Galactic doesn’t care about the community.  They have broken serval Wizard of the cost, lorcana, Pokemon, one piece and flesh of blood rules for league and price support. You keep the prizes and sell them online from a different account.

Really Disappointing seeing prices rise and you all just turning into Scalpers.

EDIT: after opening it was indeed resealed. I got a white and green card with no ultra rates. You guys are truly the worst people in the hobby.
